SSENSE: Shop Designer Fashion Reviews

I have been using this app for a few years now and from end of last year I have been seeing a lot of people complaining about it for delayed shipping and problem with returns.
Initially I was pretty lucky all 3 of my orders during the holiday are arrive within a month. However it was totally a nightmare when I started the return. It take forever to get a return label from them. I called them and did many online chat and email after they suspended the call center and I did not get the problem solved in 3 months. After I eventually manage to ship the item back to them they start to reject my return using multiple different excuses. And eventually they are saying the items is damaged and want to reject the return. While they sending the picture, it clearly shows the tag is attached to the product, all the original wrap around of the handbag is there untouched. I even never moved it out of its original box as I initiated return before the item even arrived. The customer service is terrible and there is no respect to their VIP customers. I will never buy from this app again and don’t let the promotion fool you!!

Starting with the bot detection, something NEEDS to change. I was scrolling through the sale items and in a span of like 15 minutes I had to press and hold a button to prove I’m not a bot about 6 times. After scrolling for 30 minutes I’d held that button down about 12+ times. Nothing was unusual about my browsing habits, I don’t have an ad blocker on my iPhone.

Next, the UX needs a lot of improvements. If I’ve been scrolling for 20+ minutes on the sale page and I accidentally click on a designers name, I should be able to press back and be in the same place as I was. But instead, it changes the page to just be the designer and you lose your place. It’s not intuitive, it’s annoying to use.

Love the selection and the sales obviously but SSENSE needs some work.

I was very impressed with the customer service. I was somehow disconnected from my call while speaking with an agent. I immediately called back and got a recording that said they saw I had been disconnected so they we’re moving me to the top of the queue. Before I had time to even wait, the woman was calling me back! It was a nice change of pace from the usual awful customer service you get these days. I will definitely continue using this company!

One aspect of this app that I like is there is a wide array of pieces to choose from, it’s a creative collective of everything really! From high end designers to emerging street wear labels, which can rather be difficult to find in the United States. Regular department stores and certain boutiques are not as updated/refreshed in their categories. this app is, and I’m excited to be a patron.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I had the worst experience with a few of my orders. The most recent was missing an item and I contacted customer support the day my order was delivered on September 8th. I have now had to reach out 3 separate times just to be told, “Thank You for getting back to us” along with what seems like a generic response about them trying to resolve the issue. I have been waiting to hear back from them, only to have to reach out myself to find that nothing has been done?! I’ll stick with the other online retailers like Farfetch and Mytheresa that I’ve had much better experience with. Never shopping here again.

SSENSE has two lines of address, but the website only has one line of address. What I encountered was that when I input my address on SSENSE but ended up purchasing on the webpage, the system doesn’t capture the second line of address. Right now, I’m still waiting for my package to be delivered after empty promises from customer service that they would contact security and logistics and update me within 24 hours. First time experience ruined I guess…

This is my first time shopping with this app and am now making this my new favorite go to app/ site for designer items. SSENSE is so user friendly the price's and shipping process is outstanding with no additional fee’s and deserves 10 Stars💪🏽Just made my first order and thank you for making the process so simple, no tricks or gimmicks, one of thee best shopping apps ever 🙌🏽🙌🏽

All-around great online experience. Like their selection of merchandise. Very deep selection for certain designers/brands. App is just great. One of the best! Only criticism is end of season sales could be more dramatic. Seems very conservative for most designer merchandise vs. promoted big discounts/70% off.

I have been a this app customer for many years now and asked them a couple times for a mobile app through their CS and Instagram, and it’s finally here!!!

SSENSE handsdown has the best browsing + checkout experience I’ve ever had on any shopping apps, so does their website, very responsive and visually beautiful!

It’s a cool app but I would like better search features, like being able to search for long sleeve button ups in men’s within SSENSE for example. Also there are some bugs like not all items appearing under some brands

I placed an order for a very expensive item on SSENSE… I was told that it was shipped but was never given proper tracking ID. After following up several times and not being able to contact anyone on the phone because “ the lines were closed“. I haven’t received the item and have followed up several times noting this. They’ve not replaced the item or come up with any solution. Be careful if you’re purchasing anything pricey on SSENSE.

I love this app, but..... did developers or founders try to surf through SSENSE and shop themselves???
If I tap on something on wishlist and then want to come back it brings me on home page. If I search a brand in women’s section and then tap to men’s it brings me back to home page. Searching something on SSENSE is impossible. I understand you wanted to make it cool and minimalist but can you also consider it user-friendly? I’m going back to my laptop for shopping...

I’ve been shopping with this app for a while now and have never been dissatisfied. They deliver fast and have excellent customer service. I will not hesitate to continue shopping with this app. Thank you for being such a great company

I returned some shoes in February because they came apart in a matter of days. I shipped the shoes back to this app and have been waiting 10 months for a refund, and still have not received anything, only a 10% discount on up to $100. I really expected higher quality in both the item and customer service given the price of the shoes. It’s extremely unreasonable to wait 10+ months for a refund for any product. Do not trust this company with your money.

Found lots of good deal on authentic designer items. Quick delivery and quick refund on return items. Great customer service especially when it comes to discounted items.

I have never met the condition that my order was not shipped for 20 days and replaced due to the missing items. You could have enough time to figure out the stocks. Right now you just cancel and replace the customers' order randomly. I am very unsatisfied and angry. Also, you have promised that you will place 15% on my current order and then for the next chat you said it was for next order. Excuse me! I could not tolerate this.

Whenever I need a special look for a formal event, or just need that staple white T-shirt and jeans- this app is the the answer to any fashion question.
I find new things along the way that I could’ve never dreamed of wearing and now they’re in my walk in closet.

I bought 2 items so far & got them so quickly! I was amazed. Love the fact they have a wide selection of brands & even brands that are harder to find. And love the sales the most!

Shopping menswear and womenswear shouldn’t be a preference in settings. I shop both and it should be easier to switch between the two. Why is there no feature to read your articles? I like reading/viewing the content you guys create. 😭😭

This is LONG overdue!!! One of my fav shopping sites has finally made their own app!! If it wasn’t bad enough that I stalked the website it’s going to be even worse now that I have SSENSE !! 😂😂 kudos and cant wait to do even more shopping

Although it’s different from some industry standards, everything makes browsing easier and find what you’re looking. Tough to go back to other apps

SSENSE is extremely user friendly and is super easy to filter and search for items. Shipping is always fast and the products match their descriptions.

I’ve been shopping on the internet since its inception. That being said- as a consumer-I was treated horribly by this company and its multiple service representatives. They attempted to cast blame on me for wearing a pair of boots and returning them. They have no knowledge of the brand themselves. Additionally, they shipped the wrong size and a damaged pair of denim in the same order. The one star is for a customer service representative (April) who advocated for me and was able to get me a refund. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

I constantly stroll through the page and find awesome deals!! So easy, safe and quick to make a purchase. Shipping is on point too! Highly recommend for fashion freaks like I.

I Love, Love SSENSE. This is the first luxury designer app I have found that easy to navigate, items are true to size & quality, the shipping is really fast and the prices are reasonable. This is my new go to app for luxury brands.

Best turn around time when it comes to order getting to you in a timely manner & some of the better selection !!!

I do not buy my designer from anywhere else. It seriously has the best prices, the website is easy to navigate and it’s all around a solid company.

Absolutely enthralled with the new feature that algorithmically matches an item chosen to item across different designer with similar parameters. Super duper good job there!

Albeit, one minor flaw though...
Need to add a ‘SHARE’ feature to copy links of products to benchmark with friends or colleagues as a means for a 2nd opinion on a potential purchase.

Other than that, this mobile app slays.

Really love the design layout of SSENSE, and how it closely mirrors the actual online website. Plus SSENSEalways has the best deals out of all of the high fashion websites!
