Papa Murphy s Take Bake Pizza Reviews

I gave PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza permission to access my location while using PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza . An hour after placing an order while using another app, I received a second location request asking if I want to switch to “always allow” location access for the Papa Murphy’s app.

Attempting to track my physical location is an immediate uninstall for any app, but I really fail to see why a pizza app would need to know where I am forever, even weeks after ordering a pizza. I suspect that PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza is selling real-time access to user’s location to advertisers as a side hustle, and urge anyone who cares about their privacy to think twice before using PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza.

PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza has always had some issues, but it has still at least been useable. Recently however they have quite deceitfully started automatically adding a tip to orders placed through PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza . You can remove the tip if you choose, but the default is you’re tipping, and you have to be paying attention as they sneak it in on the last page. Regardless of where you stand on tipping for fast food this is very deceitful and obviously intentionally designed that way. This new change makes it unusable for me and PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza has been deleted.

Not sure who the PR genius was who had this bright idea but it backfired with me, and based on the reviews I’m not alone.

So I’ve actually never written a review on PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza Store before but PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza is essentially worthless for what I want to do (place an order for pickup tomorrow) so I had to share my 1-star review.

It’s currently 10:45pm and I read that the store opens tomorrow at 10am so I wanted to place an order now to pickup tomorrow at 11am but it won’t allow me to do ANYTHING. I try to change the date/pickup time and the numbers just slide back to the current time. I try to change location - can’t bc the current pick up time (10:45pm) is not available. I can’t even browse the menu or add things to my cart without getting past this first step! Very frustrating as I won’t have time to call tomorrow.

Took me 10 minutes to change stores. Must hit Start New Order rather than Order. Have to press “custom” through 3-4 levels of menus to order a custom build your own thin crust with no cheese. The workflow repeats itself in a confusing way that makes you think it skipped the last thing you pushed. I got so lost, and I am a software engineer for gosh sake. The other papa pizza app is much easier to understand.

For example, why would “Create your own Pizza” take you to a 3 item menu with (1) Create your Own, (2) Create your own Half and Half Pizza (Original Crust), (3) Create your own Half and Half (Thin Crust)?

After choosing #1 and picking a size, I can choose Thin Crust anyway, but not if I chose Medium. Then I come to another confusing menu: (1) Recipe: No Customizations, Customize Whole, (3) Customize Right/Left. Huh? The first menu already had confusing options for half/half, and this one has right/left. And what does it meant not customize a custom pizza?

There’s an “Add to Item” button that hovers over the bottom of the screen across all these menus. What “item”? One ingredient or the whole pizza? So confusing.

I meant to have no cheese on one custom pizza and cheese on the other, and PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza did the opposite, so the staff had to remake both pizzas. They were nice about it and said this often happens with PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza .

So, I have tried PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza twice now! It needs serious work n I can’t believe they’ve released it for operation. 1st off, where the hell is the MURPHY’S COMBO? The best pizza on their menu! Is obsolete. They have a Murphy’s Favorite that has bell peppers on it n ruins the pie. So, u have to select that one n remove the peppers. Plus, it doesn’t have salami! WTH!!! Also, their reward program on PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza vs. stamp card. Stick with the stamp card because any attempt to get credit for a pizza that u ordered on line that doesn’t exist n have to basically call ur order in. U won’t receive credit through PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza . Confusing? Yes! PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza needs work n attention! As far as I’m concerned, it needs to be taken down all together n relaunched after all the issues have been addressed! In the meantime, it looks as though they’re content with it.

This is not the first time I’ve had issues with their mobile app or website. For the foreseeable future I am done ordering online from Papa Murphy’s. Half the time I can’t even log into the mobile app but I can the website (so I know the login is correct), but their website checkout is a disaster. The price of the product is often not the same at the final checkout, it’s always more. I think this is particular to the Tuesday specials. There’s a huge disconnect. Whichever company runs Papa Murphy’s mobile app and or website should be fired. For such a simple product this should be an easy ordering system. Sorry Papa, for now taking my business elsewhere.

PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza needs a serious update. They show you your total on one page and then on the “confirmation page” automatically add in a 15% tip. If you aren’t paying attention you are ultimately paying more for the exact same service. I’m not against tipping, I’m against being tricked into tipping an amount based on services that haven’t been rendered yet. How do I know if the employees deserve a tip based on their service or the quality of the food received before receiving what I payed for? Too often employees rush through the job and don’t keep quality standards in check, whether it be light on ingredients or forgetting to properly oil the bread. It’s absolutely ridiculous. BEWARE.

PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza needs help! While I eventually got my order in, it took a few tries. My biggest annoyance was that I was done with my order and about to put my credit card in when I had to get out of PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza to check on something for my husband. I did not close PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza , just tapped out of it. I came back within 15 seconds and my order was gone and I had to start over.

I had 2 half and half pizzas which are a nightmare to do. It is not user friendly and is confusing to try and customize. Trying to verify I entered everything in correctly makes my head spin. Just a simplified summary or a picture would be great. Not a huge paragraph of nonsense.

Finally, entering the credit card was terrible. You can’t see what you are typing as you type. Of course I was already frustrated and it took me 3 tries to get it right. Also, don’t force a tip on me. I always gladly tip, but automatically adding a tip for a carry out order leaves me a bit annoyed.

I’m getting increasingly frustrated with PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza. I can look past the confusing UI and amateur look of PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza for online savings but it takes too long.

I don’t understand why I have to wait parked in front of the store for half an hour as my order is “in progress” while people who are walk ins are continually served before me. The ETA is now ten minutes behind and it has really put a damper on my appetite in the first place.

So between the difficulty ordering and being put on the back burner (how long does it take to make a pepperoni pizza) I wonder if they value me as a customer more than I value my once every other week splurge on this pizza.

We tip! Don’t get me wrong but it seems greedy when it is an automatic tip added towards the last minute right before you hit “place order”. The first time you see the tip only comes up when you are at the very end of your purchase. IF that is the case then why not add the tipping “jar” right before we enter our credit card info??? Instead of tipping more than the automatic (what we usually do), your sneaky means makes me not want to tip at all! If businesses think that their employees should be paid more, why not pay them what you think they are not worth and anything after that should be a bonus!

I think PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza is a little quirky on first use when ordering customized pizzas, but after the first couple of times when you understand how it works it is easy to use. I have never encountered a problem ordering. It could be improved by sending me a text when the order is actually ready for pickup. Especially if I am waiting and it is finished earlier than hard coded 30 minutes prep time.

One important factor missing in PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza. Under customizations we absolutely need “custom item.” Out store has green olives and others don’t so I know why the item isn’t here, but if I can add that under “custom item” then life would be that much better. I’ve seen others have custom item requests that only their store does, from no cheese to spam. Please please add this or something related to it so that we can actually use your app. I’ve never been able to place an order outside of calling and it’s the era of apps and websites, let’s make this happen.

I really like the changes you have made to PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza . It is easier to place an order even customize it for pick up. My only problem is why would I automatically give a tip when I have not seen my pizza. If I delete it on my app order and prefer to leave my tip at the counter going to affect the quality of my pizza? Is this just a way for the store to get hidden cost in? I would want the person making my pizza to get the tip.

The only thing I have a complaint about is in PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza when you’re placing an order. For the toppings included on the pizza, there should be an option to have the topping provided on the side. For instance, we like the tomatoes on the side sometimes when we order the Gourmet Chicken Garlic pizza so it would be nice to have that as an option also. Otherwise you all are wonderful and provide superb customer service!! A+++

PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza is very intuitive for me to use. I’ll put it that way. Now we move into the locations. There’s not enough locations in the Charlotte area. The only one around Charlotte is in Rock Hill which is 13 miles from my place. It’s good enough to make the trips over every now and again. Those peeps at Rock Hill, South Carolina build those Pizzas perfectly every time. Made to order is an understatement. The location in Cotati, California is the one I use when visiting Sonoma County where my family is. The location I first came to know is the one in Windsor, California which I’ve known since I was 8 years old visiting from San Antonio. They need to reopen locations in Charlotte, preferably in very high traffic areas which are usually the ones that stay open. I’m a repeat customer and have been for years. Don’t see that changing. Hands down one of my top Pizza Brands around.

Pay your employees better and remove tip option. This is a fast food style service and no one is waiting on us they’re doing their job and when you select a tip before your food is made then that may effect the service by how much you tip. Tipping should always be last. And tipping is added because you don’t want to pay the employees better that run the business or at least keep it running

App is unreliable, it completely clears the cart if you navigate away from the cart. If you have a problem with the order you have to call the store to fix it but PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza does not provide the store phone number. Worst of all, they automatically add a tip on the final confirmation screen when you think you are just confirming the cart you looked at that did not have the tip listed. Be careful of that final confirmation, this automatic tip for a pickup order is just a deceitful up-charge.

I was able to sign in just fine on the first try. PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza is a nice change from having to use the website! The only confusing thing is I couldn’t tell if my customized pizza had cheese or not. It only gave me the option of none, light or extra. I couldn’t tell if it came with a normal amount of cheese by default? My order didn’t say if it had cheese so I just went with a regular cheese pizza (should’ve done that initially, duh!) If that part was less confusing then it’ll be a great app! Thanks PM for finally getting an app!

Papa Murphey’s is seriously my favorite pizza hands down!! I love how I can smell the yeast as it’s cooking in my oven! Their sauce is awesomely, amazingly, incredibly delicious! And so different than ANYBODY else’s!! Oh and did I mention how awesomely affordable it is! And the sweet ladies and Gentlemen that work at the one I go to are always so sweet, nice & kind!!

And I just want to throw this out there for the world to realize something!! For those of you who don’t think that the people that work at Papa Murpheys deserve a TIP just because all they do is “throw” ingredients on a pizza!!! Well let me tell yah it’s so much more than that. So just do the right thing and leave a tip!! Just like you would want if you worked their!!! Jus sayin!! What if it was your son or daughter that worked their and you knew how hard they worked!? Wouldn’t you want your child to be left a tip!? Do unto others as you would have done unto you!!

I’m not a baby calf so I don’t consume cows milk. Why is there no option to REMOVE the cheese from your pizzas? My local store told me there are a lot of people who do this, they just add their own vegan cheese before baking. Please give me the option to remove the cheese, it saves you guys money.

Also, for people complaining they want to order the pizza on PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza and pay in store......get real!! That would increase their amount of product waste so much, all just so customers could play games on PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza . They’d have to remake pizzas for people who take forever to pick their pizza up, go to the wrong store, or throw away the ones from people who don’t show up. It’s almost 2020, if you have an issue entering your credit card number to pay for a product YOU are having made for you, something is wrong with you!

I went to order a customized deep dish Chicago style pizza. I went into the customization and like a normal person added the things I wanted on it. Went into the store and they created the pizza minus all the stuff that I added. I went back into PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza and it says to select all the toppings you want, not the toppings you want to remove. It’s a pretty strange way to customize something with the things you don’t want, especially when it doesn’t explain anywhere that that’s what PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza is looking for.

The first order I placed was incorrect and the staff in the store didn’t know about the special on PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza . So in addition to being a hassle to order online, I still had to wait in the store for the staff to make my order.

It doesn’t allow you to pay cash in store, this is a huge drawback for me personally. If it wasn’t the only method to get most of the specials, I would delete PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza permanently. For now, I’ll just keep having the poor staff correct the mistakes on PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza when I get there.

I loved PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza. I could order the pizza online, and have a family member pick it up and pay in the store. Now it REQUIRES I use a credit card when placing my order. I’ve had my credit card info stolen too many times to trust every app with it, so I won’t be using this one again. It was so convenient to just pick one of my favorite orders (they tend to be complicated with half this and half that) so not having to explain the order every time was so awesome. I am deeply disappointed in this update.

I’ve been trying to preorder for 2 days in advance and even though the option is there for later it won’t let me. It keeps auto scrolling back to today’s date and 25 minutes from now. So frustrating! I will just go to the store and preorder that way. It was for Halloween, and I thought perhaps it’s just that day, but no matter what day I try to pick other than today it auto scrolls 100% of the time back to today’s date and 25 minutes from now. Major bug people, later is a great option for so many things!

I think we will get our pizzas elsewhere from now on. PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza is confusing, finding where you enter coupon codes is near impossible, and our Papa Murphy’s staff was condescending to my wife when she went to pick up the pizzas and tried to explain the confusion on PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza . Plus they will put an email in your box EVERY day as soon as you use PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza . Very annoying. Poorly designed app + rude live service = I will find a better way to bring a new type of pizza into my house. Probably would have given app another chance if employee wasn’t so unhelpful.

Let's you enter credit card info for cards it doesn't accept.. how about a notice that reads "Visa and Mastercard only ". BEFORE we type info wasting our time.

Let's you type an email and password that you think will be your ID when you press Create Account... Nope you have to enter it all over again. How about a notification BEFORE the email and password that reads... "Click here first if you need to create a new account"

Lastly, there's a lonely slider that says " Rewards and Specials" after you enter account info, what is that? Are you asking us if we want rewards and specials in PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza , or are you asking us to allow emails that contain rewards and special like spam? Not clear at all!

I’m assuming this is an early version and these things will be corrected soon, other than that it’s a fairly clean app, but wow this was more frustrating that it needed to be, and a lot of my time wasted.

I downloaded PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza and preordered on it. Waited until after the estimated time to leave my house. When I got there, there was a fairly long line. I walk up to the preorder line and the guy asked me “Well did you prepay?” No matter I preordered and chose not to give my credit card and info out to everyone and their mother. He told me “Well get in line and we will get to you when we can.”!!!!!!! Well now I am glad I didn’t prepay because I walked the F out of there. Done. Never again.

The day before thanksgiving I ordered pizza so that I didn’t have to worry about dinner when I was going to have a big cooking day the next day. Guess what they are closed. And no way to cancel. Literally all other store are open. So now I’m charged for a pizza and I get no pizza... fix it!

Need to be able to remove an ingredient, not just add. Either as a selection or need to be able to add a comment to the order so the staff can see any changes to be made. I called local store and they said they will adjust (hopefully). Store also said they have lots of issues with app so may want to call to be sure order went through. First time I used PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza and order experience was good. We will see if it works.

...the website used to be a manageable and easy experience. Recently however they’ve changed the website and have made it a complicated mess. I almost wonder if they did that on purpose to make PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza more of a lucrative option? Either way, the pizza is one of the best out there and for that alone I’ll give this a 4 star.

I have to admit you have come along way with your app. When I first downloaded it it was one of the most disappointing apps I have ever used it was very buggy glitchy and did not work at all. But it seems like you have worked very hard to satisfy your customers and I will definitely start using PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza and purchasing your pizzas more often. Thank you

PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza is great, simple. The only thing I suggest is a deals page because those are typically on the website but not on PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza . I love I’ll be able to stay signed in and just quickly check out without all the creating new passwords and jumping through hoops on the website each and every time I want papa Murphy’s.

The apps customize pizza option says add ingredients. If you want to delete an ingredient you must press the button in the add section. Then a delete button appears.
If the customize pizza section said add/delete it would be less confusing.
Otherwise PapaMurphysTakeBakePizza works fine
