Why??

Why is this seemingly far left. It’s OIL
And I hear electric cars. Wind farms. Global warming. I’m not an idiot. I realize all these things seemingly will possibly in time affect the OIL price. But whoever writes the articles must watch too much George Jetson to write with the slant most of the articles are written. And why is that complete left wing idiot from the Washington post on here all the time. Acting like if anyone doesn’t see things his way they are stupid. That’s what makes him an idiot. When you think your thoughts and ideas supersede the masses just because your “party” wants to push global warming and their “new green deal” down everyone’s throats and if you don’t buy into their crap you’re ignorant. Hey. Everyone is allowed their opinion. But there are far too few intelligent positive articles and the “news” articles just seem to normally slant left. I’m about ready just to use Light Crude Oil NYMEX Even though I enjoy reading. I do want to thank you for the articles that just portray the news for what it is & pertinent articles that are actually informative without a huge political slant either way

Best App

I discovered OilPrice after I inherited some oil and gas mineral rights and I have learned more by the content of OilPrice than any amount of time I could have spent on Google. I love the easy to read format, the concise articles that can be read on the fly, and the excellent platform for updating current prices for all of the oil and gas markets. I use OilPrice now more than any other including social media. If I could give it ten stars I would!

Great articles and fast access to energy prices

OilPrice is awesome. The articles are great, and it covers things other sources barely touch. It really helps to see and extensive list of energy prices when investing. Highly recommended. It is put together well and is very useful.

Decent operation ... needs a little help?

Left leaning a bit. But nothing like most media operations today. It would not make Margaret Thatcher or Ronnie Regan proud. I guess if you have to buy stories from someplace you gonna get get the whacky left stuff. But the owner is trying to make it fairly balance so he gets a star for that. The oil chart only goes back a yr. If he could get that improved, the operation may really take off. (Need minutes, hourly days etc) That's asking a lot ... or is it? This is the best free site today for news about energy, but keep your BS filter, and Coronavirus mask, on at all times.

Don’t use this app

Find another app to use the articles written are giving investment advice and opinions that over exceed journalism and professionalism. The ownership of OilPrice has financial conflicts such as promoting investments in renewable energy and related sectors and suggested that fossil fuel energy is obsolete. Renewable energy is limited and until new replacement for fossil fuels can be discovered, invented and implemented or our society no longer needs electricity, power generation and heat fossils fuels will remain a dominant necessity, I apologize if you are disappointed. We all would like to change reality but we need invention or just go back into the Stone Age. You can decide what is best.

Terrible!!!!!!!!!! Just terrible!!!

Please use contributors with at least “some” real world oil and gas experience. This is not an industry one can write about casually like travel or food for example. These contributors are so bad it makes me cringe. No, the 1% drop in price today is not a “plunge” lol. Quit calling E&P companies “frackers” or “drillers” because they are neither. Those operations are served by separate companies altogether. Not all oil companies are “Big Oil”. They’re thousands and thousands of small, family owned producers/service companies that do well for themselves and are only being harmed by these types of articles. These articles sound like propaganda for the far left.

Articles are Crap - Propagandist, Proselytizing, and Poorly Sourced

As a petroleum engineer and part time trader I paid for OilPrice for easy access to oil prices; however, the level of woke ignorance in their unbelievably biased reporting assures I will never use and renew OilPrice . OilPrice is essentially worthless to me as I would rather not be vomited upon with classic leftist ignorance from the articles section, and a lack of journalistic integrity every time I check spot prices. What would otherwise be a valuable must have asset is ruined by over reaching article selection and writers.

Quick and easy oil data

This is a great app. I started using il because I just wanted wti data quickly. I invest in oil related stocks and this has been a great and easy resource. I then started reading some of the articles. I realize there is a lot more data that I don’t fully use.

Very useful for gaining valuable information

I’m a day trader and OilPrice has given me a valuable venue of opinions, perspectives and forecasts not oil in what relates to the oil market but also on other sectors.
It has very interesting articles that keep me well informed and helps me create better trading strategies.

Articles Not Relevant or Accurate

While the copy and paste of the oil prices from the market is as expected accurate, the article contributors are extremely unprofessional. You can see articles back to back contradicting each other and some including references to their friends companies or to companies of criminals who paid them to do so. The published articles are not relevant, there is no due diligence or background being done on statements that contributors include in their articles.

Great App

As someone who is looking to enter the Oil/Gas industry after I complete my MBA, OilPrice makes it incredibly easy to follow developments in the oil market-it has enough quantitative stories as well as qualitative graphs, so everyone can get all they want out of OilPrice. Highly recommend to anyone with an interest in the industry.

It’s ok...

Articles are good and informative. I’m in California and pay close attention to the Midway Sunset and Buena Vista prices. I think only certain ones update on a regular basis. The ones I watch only update once a day and sometimes not even that. Others only have a 10 minute delay before they update. Wish all of them kept up throughout the day.

By

Ask yourself , why are you here?

They do a great job of providing information to people that are not paying for dozens of pay sites. If you don’t like it move along. It’s a valuable tool for most people.

Phenomenal but..

Best oil news but Notifications doesn’t work on here for articles after making sure a billion times all notifications are turned on for this —_____— great app though best oil news there there

Articles

OilPrice is great and I really enjoy the live updates. BUT.... whoever the people are writing the articles; they’re complete morons. You will see back to back articles, one saying the market is about to explode and the very next one saying the world is ending and oil is doomed forever. Jesus Christ it’s annoying.

A consistent and timely market overview

OilPrice is very good at providing a quick market overview of the price of oil, and provides interesting stories globally that support current & future pricing levels. I have found many of the articles to be very helpful in grasping the workings of the global market!

By

Fair and balanced!

OilPrice offers a lot more than its mundane name would suggest. It’s informative articles seem to be roughly split between oil market happenings and developments in renewables. I use to rely on Bloomberg, now Oil Price is my primary source for energy information.

By

Going to delete

I’m going to delete OilPrice after I write this review. 90% of the time when you click on an article to read it, it won’t display because they want you to get the article through another app. The other app probably charges you for reading it. So why have OilPrice when there is almost nothing you can read on it. Life is too short to mess with a poor app like this one.

Nothing compares

OilPrice makes keeps me updated at all times. I can read articles and break news that connect to the energy business. Thank you this app team.

Amazing App Live Data + Energy News

I've been waiting for an app like this. Live oil blend data. Ability to create custom notification alerts for oil price changes has saved my life. Great work!

By

Great oil news app

I like a lot OilPrice. Could get me informed about everything is happening in the oil and gas worldwide, and just in my smartphone.

By

One of my go to apps

This is definitely one of my go to apps to see what is going on in the oil industry!

By

Too liberal

The articles are written like the writers from the New York Times or the Washington Post or even CNN. They are very biased towards President Trump and very liberal in their analysis. The dashboard is good for getting a quote but the articles have a liberal agenda...it’s too bad, I wish they could just write the news without trying to pedal their ideology.

By

Best app for energy info

This is the best app for anything energy related. Lots of great articles and data.

By

informative

A great source of information if you’re involved or interested in oil & gas industry.

By

Ok

I decent site for data, but the authors of the various articles don’t have much background on the oil and gas industry and make a lot of simple errors in their stories.

clunky and slow.

Works sometimes intermittently and somewhat user unfriendly. Takes awhile to get acquainted with site
peculiars..
