Buggy

They really pushed a big campaign talking of how their site and app will be modernized and updated and have all sorts of improvements. However, since I was using it, I kept receiving errors where I couldn’t even open SWACU because it said I wasn’t accepting cookies. Then I finally was able to get logged in, but can’t see details of my credit card because it kicks me out of SWACU and pushes me towards safari. There I get an error asking me to close the page. The technical architect behind SWACU and the QA department are really at fault for this dreadful release.

Bad UX and it’s only getting worst...

When I first joined this app, the original app wasn’t great, but functional. A couple months later, a ton of hype was pushed out to users about a “new” app launching. Well, the new app launched and it was even worst because it totally was not a native iOS app, some crappy HTML wrapped app. Just when I thought things couldn’t get worst, we now have the latest update, which is a hefty pile of garbage on top of an already poor experience. Thanks this app. Perhaps you should consider firing your outsourced development team, because this is hot garbage.

Switch Priority

SWACU has been very slow, the anticipation for the new app was overhyped for no reason! Definitely have to agree that the old app was better. Read a response to a comment that SWACU was created to have the feel of the actual website? That defeats the purpose of it being an application then. We can do that via the mobile site through our mobile web browser if that were the case.

All I am wanting to know is if there is a way to display my Checking on top as my priority account then the savings below that. I’ve checked online and via SWACU and seems like I can’t make this change. I am just trying to let my checking display on top of the savings account but right now it continues to show the savings first then the checking below that. It’s bugging! No pun intended. Lol. Help?

Mobile deposit does not work

I have had the hardest time trying to use the mobile deposit for a paper check. I have a check that I had to write “for electronic deposit only at this app” on the back only to get a different error message every time I try to deposit it. Now what am I supposed to do with this check I can’t cash? No signature detected. Account numbers not detected. Amount on check different that indicated. This is unacceptable

Update is horrible

The new update won’t allow SWACU to display in any way other than portrait on an ipad. In addition, when you move between accounts and bill pay, you get kicked out and have to login in multiple times in “one session”. It’s harder to find the information that was displayed before and when you do, you get kicked out again. SWACU is meeting the level of customer service at this app.

I hate it

I’ve never had an issue with SWACU until they (I guess) did an update. First, it suddenly wouldn’t let me use Face ID, then it was saying my ID or password was wrong. I call to fix it and they told me it was because I tried too many times so it locked me out. I know for a fact that I put in my password right so I knew that wasn’t true. Now four days later it’s doing it again… So I went in and did forgot password right? Well I go to login right after and it says user ID or password is incorrect!! I JUST MADE THAT NEW PASSWORD!!!! So I deleted SWACU and reinstalled it but that didn’t work!!! 🤬😡

Upgrade is terrible

The upgrade is terrible. It doesn’t recognize your password (despite it being correct) so you have to call in and every time you do this you must repeat it because as soon as you log out it the program no longer recognizes your correct password so then the circle will start over unless you can answer questions you’ve never given them the answer to. Also the security questions are so ridiculous “what was the flower growing on the easterly corner growing up” ... I have no clue so now I’m writing down all the security answers which is pointless and such a waste of time for “security protection “

Garbage

Way to go Southwest! You still have the worst banking app in the entire industry. Old app was magnificent and smooth. SWACU wont even let you login. “Loading” for 5 minutes, close SWACU 5 times and still “loading”. Not to mention you dont have face ID, which every other bank has. Cant even send money through SWACU , it takes you to Safari, old app never did that.

Why wont you delete SWACU and bring back the old one or at least update this so it works right. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE AND UGLY LOOKING APP.

How to make payments

If you have a loan with this app
It is extremely frustrating to make a payment, I was late making my first payment thinking they would deduct it from your paycheck, but they didn’t tell you on how to make payment either.
And there’s no way to make a online payment anywhere not in SWACU or online on the website. And you get a $10+ fee over the phone trying to make a payment.
You have to be lucky to have a credit union around your area to make a payment.
Why even have SWACU

Just did my first transaction…

I just utilized the mobile app for the first time, and the first attempt failed as it said that the amount I entered didn’t match the amount detected. This was for the Colorado $750 tax refund. I did it a second time (changing nothing), and it went through, saying that it needed to be reviewed and the funds may take up to 7 days to be available. AFTER it went through, instructions on what should have been on the back of the check were listed. Seems pretty backwards. I was hoping to move my money from another bank to this higher interest account, but if these types of issues are pretty common (looks like they may be) based on other comments here, I probably won’t. I’m bummed for sure, as I’ve been excited to sign up since new hire orientation.

Not As Efficient As The First One

1-SWACU needs to have the QuickView functionality that lets you see what you have in your account with a click of one button. 2-Please return the availability to do fast transfers. Having to search and then click at least four times to transfer money defeats the purpose of SWACU . I might as well use a computer. 3-Apple doesn’t allow for Fingerprint login, why not?? 4-In settings what does “Customize Your Online Banking Experience” mean? I clicked it and nothing happened...?? 5- What is the < button in the top left corner for? 6-The buttons/icons need to be bigger. The font is too small. These are just a few things that need to be changed. I agree with the other reviewer, I liked the old app better.

Very buggy

The mobile check deposit is very buggy. I also keep getting “access denied” messages when clicking the cancel button while in the check deposit page. The big “we’ve launched” banner at the top of the page is getting in the way of actual important items on the screen.

I found another bug when trying to initiate a money transfer. No matter which account I select to transfer from, when I proceed to the next screen it shows my Savings in the “From”.

Good & Bad

Everything seems to work great. I’m able to open successfully on my iPhone and my iPad & use all functions. However, please bring back the ability to use LandScape (Horizontally\Sideways) Mode on the iPad. I miss that function.

Update

SWACU keeps telling me to update, but every time I try to it just keeps taking me back to SWACU which keeps telling me to update, which keeps taking me back to SWACU . Any suggestions? Already uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck

Transfer funds doesn’t work

Trying to transfer funds between accounts and SWACU just spins and eventually times out. Having to switch to desktop. What’s the point of having an app if it doesn’t do basic functions?

Update

So I’m trying to open SWACU it says this version is no longer supported click update
Once I click update, it goes back to the Apple store, and there is no update
So I’m in a vicious cycle that I can’t use SWACU because there is no update 🤦‍♂️

Why SWACU?

Every aspect of banking with the SW Airlines Credit Union has been superior to any other banking experience I’ve ever had. The people are courteous and informative, and the process is smooth and efficient. They offer some of the best interest rates in the industry. this app sets the standard.

Missing Functionality

In the old application, one could pay bills through SWACU , but I haven't found where that can be done in the new app. That was an important piece of functionality.

No Landscape Capability

Unlike many other of my financial apps, the “new” version of the this app app does not rotate to a landscape format on my iPad. To me, this indicates a lack of competence or foresight on the part of the programmers/IT people. This should be a no brainer, especially when it’s touted as new and improved. Recommend this be changed to allow a landscape capability.

Consider a complete overhaul of your app...

My complaint is about the setup of SWACU . The arrangement of SWACU once your in could be better. I think it’s safe to assume that ppl want to know what’s in their checking before savings. Also, the print inside SWACU is small it’s hard to read.

this app I really like you but I’m seriously thinking about switching to another credit union for ease and functionality.

You may be losing customers over your app. Please reconsider better arrangement, setup, and/or a complete overhaul.
