I did not use EthiopianAirlines to book. I couldn’t check in, get seats, or get a boarding pass with EthiopianAirlines . It kept giving me a technical issue message. I called there customer service line to have my call dropped twice before speaking with someone and then that call was dropped. So then after 4 tries I actually completed a conversation with an Ethiopian Rep who was professional and very helpful and received my seat assignments. I tried to check in on the website and on EthiopianAirlines but had issue after issue, therefore I was not able to get a boarding pass. Their website is also very difficult to navigate. The people that work for Ethiopian seem very nice and professional but the company seems to have serious issues with online technical aspects. Please get a better IT department.

Yes EthiopianAirlines works, you can book and checking online, the issue starts when you take your online boarding pass and get on the plane. This one time the flight attendant told us this flight is open seat and they can’t take our online boarding pass. They literally told us to “find a place & seat 😳”. The flight has turned first come first take, even tho we pick a seat using EthiopianAirlines . So this kind of unreliable and inconsistent service will make EthiopianAirlines useless.

If I have to go to the checkin place and take a physical boarding pass why would I need EthiopianAirlines .

Ethiopian moved my flight up two hours, fails to alert me and fails to update my boarding pass, so when we try to go through security, it fails, multiple times.

We call Ethiopian customer support, four, count them four times, that doesn’t count the three times we were hung up on or the call dropped. Despite four attempts, none of them worked. Luckily we got to the airport almost two hours in advance so we had time to wait in a LONG LONG LONG line to have paper tickets issued. EthiopianAirlines is literally a waste of space in EthiopianAirlines Store and on your phone.

I’ve imputed my booking information so I can check on it regularly and no matter how many times I put in the information it never shows up. It always said it’s been added to my wallet but when I go and check “my upcoming trips” it’s never there. If EthiopianAirlines can’t simply show me my upcoming trip then what is it good for? Literally the only reason why I downloaded EthiopianAirlines and it doesn’t work. Very frustrating and disappointed.

I am writing this to express my disappointment with the way you handled my request to upgrade my flight, It was really funny to take my miles withoutupgradingmy flight & force me to accept economy class without any help from your side to solve this case or at least upgrade my flight while you're fixing the issue from your side.

This is completely unacceptable, I cannot trust your system anymore, you have a very poor App & we cannot feel safe while we are collecting miles or even while we are using our cards to book, it's not trusted App at all.

I'm sorry to tell you that i have decided to stop using ET forever, I'm going to look for another Airlines that can respect their clients.

The latest update (version 1.4.0(2)) needs an URGENT UPDATE! It’s dysfunctional, crashes, has pop up error message... update it or remove it from EthiopianAirlines Store, it’s that bad.

Even after version 1.4.0(2) the latest update, EthiopianAirlines just does NOT function as well as it should. It has a pop up message that tells users that EthiopianAirlines they r using is outdated...🤭 Y not get a lesson from other airlines and update/revamp EthiopianAirlines as a whole. EthiopianAirlines needs to get up to date upgrade not just a useless update.

I didn’t want to be the guy that does this but I couldn’t just let this one go. EthiopianAirlines needs a lot of work to be user friendly. It does not work if you have a connecting flight from another airlines. The check in option doesn’t function half the time unless you are traveling from Ethiopia and even then .... . The QA team that tested and the dev team that built it need to go back and redo a few things, like the whole app.

App is slow and crashes or times out constantly. I’d recommend fixing EthiopianAirlines before pushing it incessantly while onboard Ethiopian flights. The only reason I’m giving it even one star is that between the buggy app and janky website, I was able to check in successfully for my flight (even if it took 30 minutes.) If Ethiopian is serious about competing with world-class carriers, they need a functional app and website.

This is honestly the most frustrating app I’ve ever come across. It’s very slow, it crashes often, and doesn’t perform many of the tasks it claims to be able to (selecting a seat on here doesn’t guarantee you’ll get it in reality). The check in process also takes many tries before it’s successful, it’s much easier, and faster, to use the web check in.

The red button is some how not comfortable! You should change the red button to something else! I hate buying things hitting a red button! It makes me feel like I am being scummed!!

The seat selection on booking and on boarding pass quietly different you need to fix it

I have tried to use EthiopianAirlines since it was launched. EthiopianAirlines requires higher speed internet connection and is largely unstable. If you also select Aiport or Ticket Office as payment option, the airline is likely to surprise you with cancellation and ask you much higher payment as “fare difference” after you decided to travel. Improve it now!

It automatically closes it self and I have to restart it. This is most usually when I try to view my trips.

EthiopianAirlines works so poorly it is essentially useless.

Ethiopian would have been better served to pay Lufthansa or United a license fee to use their apps with Ethiopian branding.

EthiopianAirlines doesn’t work consistently to provide easily usable and necessary functions like boarding passes, correct flight information, or the ability to change flights.
The ShebaMiles information doesn’t update in a timely manner and doesn’t let the user see detailed account information.

If the company isn’t serious about fielding a quality app, they shouldn’t have one at all. This just makes the airline seem substandard from the get-go.

EthiopianAirlines needs a lot of work: it consistently crashes and doesn’t have flight reservation information. The prompts are also confusing as they suggest you will have to delete what you’ve just done such as a seat assignment selection when you’re trying to go back to the home screen.

It can be fun search Google for the various error messages you encounter and figure out why—for myriad reasons that never get exhausted—you perpetually receive cryptic error messages attempting to use EthiopianAirlines. If you get your boarding pass (which I would consider the most valuable function of any airline app), you are in serious luck.

Why is everybody giving EthiopianAirlines 1 star and the total rating is 3.3? Lol
Anyways it’s not bad! It works like a charm for me so I’m gonna give it 4 star just incase if I complain in the future lol

It give me a headache because it asks me a lot for a telephone number and when I put the phone number it didn’t accept

Worst Customer service period. Once you get ahold of someone and you explain what’s going on they place you in hold to never return or just straight up hang on you. My flight times kept updating everyday around my departure time.

This Ethiopian airline app crashes on my iphone Xs max as hell, why can't Ethiopian airline pay someone good to update EthiopianAirlines to by stable? It normally crashes since ios 12 but the latest update crashes like nothing in the whole wide world.
