Updated version is even worse. I’ve been trying to answer an automated call so I can receive a security for the past half hour. The call automatically cuts off. Also when I am placed on hold for more than ten minutes my call gets cut off.

I had this app on my phone for a week before deleting it. It was hard to figure out how to use it and that my calls had to be forwarded. When I figured it out, I used it but was disconnected three times during my call. Also, was never notified of a call and voicemail received. The captioning had a very long delay time, was inaccurate, and very confusing, impossible to use on a real phone call. I would be waiting forever to read what the other person said.
Also, when I called customer service on the day I downloaded it, they were impossible to understand. They don’t know how to communicate with hearing impaired people! Very disappointing.

Captions are displayed too slowly to where the caller will disconnect because there is no response. I find explaining I am deaf and using a captioned service and ask the person on the other end to please be patient as I respond works well enough. I only use this when I have no other option. Makes me feel like CaptionCall is doing the bare minimum to qualify for the free federal reimbursement. I doubt they would have much business if this service was paid directly by the consumer and not from taxes. Might want to invest in a Captel phone if you rely on captioned calls.
