Reset my 2-FA without backing it up. Contacted them. Verified my kyc and all that. There was multiple times of communication saying they reset it. But I still need my 2-FA to log in, and now I've had 2 weeks of silence. I created another ticket. From a different IP address. Got one reply from them. Now I no longer have access to the chat function. I think my email is flagged and just diverts to an automated "our servers are busy bla bla bla" Tried calling phone numbers I've found online. Nothing Repeated emails asking what else I can do to gain access again. Nothing Finally, I've turned off my miners now. I'm not giving them an ounce of business till they let me back in. I really wanted to get onto this exchange because they seem to have all sorts of good coins! I have spent a month trying to create an account! In the past week I have spent eight hours with their in app "customer service!" They would tell me that they couldn't connect me to have a person and then finally after getting connected the person would tell me they need screenshots and this that and the other when you cannot take screenshots in the app it says not allowed for security reasons! On top of that after you get done explaining all this to them and it takes an hour to explain because they're completely inapt they'll tell you to go use another computer or another phone or they'll say take a screenshot and then they'll promise you that you won't get cut off from customer service and you immediately get cut off from customer service and have to go through all of this over and over again! I went through it five times in a row in one day! Same questions I even started copying and pasting the description of the problem which is when they send the authentication code for your email or phone number half the time it doesn't come the other half the time it comes and you type it in only to have it be erased and you're back in the same spot as you were before! Finally after talking to their representatives after all these questions and everything they'll tell you that they have no power to do anything that you have to create a ticket with their Tech Team and their Tech team will get back to you... They'll tell you that they're going to put and emergency or a rush tag on your ticket and they will get back to you within a few hours... well it's been over 3 weeks now and I've gotten two pre-written automated messages from their Tech team that how are you they're sorry for your issue how can we help you! Well you filled out a ticket describing your issue with all of your information why the hell are they sending you a pre-made answer asking you what your issue is again and then after that they don't answer you again I've opened over six tickets! I've said there's no way that I'm the only one who's had this problem and now I stumble across this and it seems like everybody and their cousin has the exact same problem! It's like they do not want your business and make it extremely clear by the way they treat you! Well the lack of treating you any way whatsoever considering they don't ever talk to you and there in app customer service is apparently people who don't even work for them I have absolutely no idea what they're doing and have no power to do anything to actually help you in any way! It's a real shame that they have all of these great tokens and what looks to be a awesome interface in their app and then they turn around and treat like this! I wish I could find somewhere else I could buy the coins that I want to purchase!! I have opened up a trust wallet and coinbase wallet and I go to buy like $100 worth of a token that I want and they want to charge me another $50 to $80 in order to make the transaction and it doesn't even work on coinbase wallet even though they say and advertise with a link that they work with uniswap but when you go to look it up apparently since before May it hasn't worked! I can't believe there's no way to buy the the small and micro-cap tokens that I want to buy without paying ridiculous and I mean ridiculous gas fees! Ethereum just sucks!! Any way back to GATE.IO... A couple times I got a standard email response requesting additional information to confirm my identity. When I send that there is no response. It has been a very frustrating experience. Horrible - KYC is a headache

I am so frustrated with this service that I had to express it in a review.

This app and service is horrible. Let me point out the many reasons …

1. KYC is a long and drawn out process with little things added as you progress. Seems like an endless maze of information input and photos.

2. You need to do the KYC on a browser, as the app does not have all nations in its database via the app, which make little sense to me. Just another means to confuse and lose customers.

3. One KYC is done, you are also given a 24 hour withdrawal ban, as to make sure no one is stealing my funds?? Idk weird.

4. After 24 hours, you then are asked to out in information for a a withdraw, but oh wait! They need your phone number, better register that in the system as well … and another 24 hour ban due to security information changes.

5. Support is very subpar, and the chat robot just put in circles and redirects you until you can finally get the option to speak to a human. Which usually just brushes you off to find the answers yourself.

Overall worst experience with a crypto trading app that I’ve ever experienced. The KYC is also very obnoxious, messy and complicated. I wish I never deposited money. Thankfully it was only a small amount. I am going to do what I need to so I can get my money back and then putting this service in my rear view mirror.

I don’t know how this app/service is even around.

No transaction record after debiting USDT from my account

I placed a limit order to purchase a coin when/if the price falls to x.The available amount of USDT I was using for the trade was immediately deducted from my account as usual, however the record of the trade is nowhere (it should appear in “my orders” as usual). I am not a beginner and have used many exchanges.

It’s not in “my trades”, “trade history”, just gone with no record. Clearly an issue of the mobile app not syncing with desktop. I put in a support ticket only to get a response explaining to me as if I was a beginner, how the limit order system works, when in fact what I need is an explanation as to why there is no record for my transaction yet my account was debited the amount for the transaction. When your crypto literally just disappears and support tells you the ticket is “settled”, it doesn’t give much confidence to continue trading on the platform.

Before this experience I would have recommended trying out their platform due to availability of so many coins. Issues like this are never really acceptable, but if their support was able to understand my complaint and actually look at the account, it would be less egregious. At this point this is the only crypto exchange I have used that has actually lost a transaction, can’t provide me with an answer, and at the same time won’t verify my account.

Please resolve my issue.

Pro: lots of options

Con: pretty much everything. But the one thing that made me quit this exchange is the fact that the spot trades are never quick or smooth. In several trades I have lost thousands of dollars trying to sell a crypto share, but the transaction stalls or never gets filled. In one case I was up 15k, tried frantically to sell all of my shares, but kept rebuffing me until I was eventually down 10k. I sold at a loss and only by painstakingly underselling my stock repeatedly (I mean by 10% less and like 20 times). Worst experience ever. I have extra funds, I’m not starving, but what about others using their life savings for Gods sakes. Also, never buy a crypto that is only traded by this company, I strongly suspect price manipulation.
