It does not make an already annoying task less annoying

It’s clear Wheels was not designed by people that travel for work. If it was, then it wouldn’t auto log a flight as a 700 mile drive. 🤦‍♂️

I’ve had to disable the GPS logging. Even when I wasn’t actively logging a trip, Wheels decided to log one anyway, which became obvious when it logged the miles of a recent flight. I recognize that this is a complex task for the developers, but nobody wants another app to baby sit. Fortunately, you can just turn off the GPS access and manually log your trips. And sadly, this is easier and less frustrating than trying to decipher the collective mess of trips Wheels auto logs. I just wish they would make manual trip logging easier… maybe utilize Siri or extend Wheels into Shortcuts, or make a CarPlay app.

Also, do we need to login every time? Face ID is fast, but it just adds another frustrating delay to things. Nothing in Wheels is so secure and sensitive that I should need to authenticate every time I open it. I’m already on my unlocked iPhone, even if someone swiped my unlocked iPhone out of my hands, they’re not going to find anything of value in a trip logging app. Maybe instead of making the whole app secure, they could just make viewing the log history secure?

Trash

Unpredictable and unreliable. The company that I work for requires GPS logging for mileage tracking and Wheels isn’t reliable. Therefore, my reimbursement is affected. The lack of reliability of Wheels costs me money, time and aggravation!!!! this app should either fix Wheels or stop providing the service. I’ve used it for four years now and have had the same results and get the same response from this app, “our developers are working on it.” What have they been doing for the past four years? The recent updates have done nothing to make Wheels easier to use, they just update the graphics of the logo. There are prompts on when I log in to ‘update authorization.’ When I click on it to update, I get “Unexpected Error…”. These types of errors are very common with Wheels . Again, this app provides no real answers. Do something about this, this app! Like I mentioned above, if you can’t provide the software for the service, don’t offer the service! I’m sure the company that I work for is paying good money for the service built around this barely usable app.

Trip log annoys me

Works well enough, and I’ve read plenty of reviews to know that I shouldn’t rely on the GPS logging feature, so I manually enter my mileage. Unfortunately, and without fail, every time I enter my mileage at the end of the day and reopen Wheels next day, it magically moves the mileage I previously entered to the day prior. For example, I drive 45 miles on Tuesday and put that into the trip log. When I open Wheels on Wednesday that trip is now magically on Monday. Simply clicking the trip and editing the date doesn’t stick, but if I delete it and re-enter it does. Seems to be related to entering mileage on the current day only, as entering mileage for past dates doesn’t have issues. I’ve given up on trying to fix it, and just assume since the miles are accurate my company should be ok with it.

Poor Trip Log

Everything else is fine but your trip logging is not the greatest. I drove 265 miles and it failed to track those miles. I have noticed that if the this app app is running for tracking miles it cause other apps (Internet, mail, etc) to stop responding; not sure if it has to do with the gps tracking or LTE usage.
It takes forever for it know if the vehicle has stopped moving. If I am making several stops per day it will only catch my first departure and my last arrival.
Can you guys resolve this please? Maybe have it be integrated with google maps.

Good concept poor execution

It works about 60-70% of the time. You will click start from your current location and it will register the duration and start calculating the miles but then when you go back into Wheels to click finish Wheels freezes and deletes the beginning point requiring you to manually enter the data again. Wastes time and practically makes Wheels useless since I can log the miles on my laptop thru my companies website.

The app Crashes

The only way Wheels works is if you do not use any other item on you phone at the same time, GPS, music, ect.. it will kick you out of Wheels without logging any of your miles leading you to manually inputting them. Wheels will also crash after you click “finish trip” losing all of your info in the last trip you tried to log. Also when opening Wheels it doesn’t work half the time leaving me to have to exit Wheels multiple times before finally working... I’m tired of sending complaint emails every time it has “missed a trip”

GPS mileage log is suspect.

The GPS auto mileage logging function is pretty suspect. It will log trips even when no trip is taken, when it actually logs a trip that was taken it is logs consistently lower then actual miles driven, sometimes it doesn’t even log trips that were taken. The actual mileage logging is all over the place compared to other mileage logging apps, GPS maps and actual trip odometers on multiple vehicles. I hope these issues will be addressed soon, as it defeats the purpose of using an auto logging app that has to be modified everyday.

Not a good app

Makes me log in every time despite have a biometric log in. App closes out when I go to open it. A new version is rolled out every 3 months that is NEVER better than any other previous version. Temp passwords do not work properly. App fails to track mileage randomly for no reason. And my favorite, sometimes they schedule maintenance at the exact time as the deadline for submitting mileage. Overall a trash app.

Constant app updates

I really hate Wheels. The functionality is fine and all, but there is a required update EVERY MONTH! So Instead if just logging in with my saved password to record my monthly mileage, Im required to physically enter my password every month. This wouldn’t be so bad if my passwords didn’t match most of the time. I’ve had to reset my password due to this issue several times this year.

LEAVE Wheels ALONE! It’s fine.

Less than reliable and consistently disappointing

We have deployed this to our fleet and it has been a complete failure. Drops locations consistently and does not accurately record miles. Uses out dated maps and technologies. I am forced to manually enter every trip to ensure accuracy and not be shorted on actual mileage. Would give zero stars if I could. Disappointed continuously and tired of the excuses. Fix it or leave the market, because better platforms exist.

Rarely works

Was supposed to be an upgrade from our last program. While the software may be better, most of them it doesn’t actually track. At times the trip log also doesn’t match the log where you actually submit the trips.
Wheels has potential, but it also really struggles at times.

Crash Issues

App hangs on opening screen for a few seconds then crashes. Called customer service. They asked me to delete and reinstall. App worked for a couple of days then started the same issue as before. Like most my company requires milage reporting. With a non functioning app this makes the task impossible. App is very good when it works.

Was good...

...now doesn’t even open. I have reinstalled multiple times. App hangs on the opening this app logo screen and then crashes. My company requires mileage log reporting through this app, only their app supports the logs (not an option on their website per company rep webinar) and now I can’t report my trip logs per federal regulations. Called them 2 days ago for support and was told someone would get back to me. No response from this app yet - not even to diagnose the issue.

Horrible user experience

If I could rate Wheels 0 stars I would. Wheels is super buggy. Randomly stops logging trips. Automatic features don’t work. Takes forever to sink trips….and sometimes that doesn’t work. Anytime you go from cellular to Wi-Fi Wheels stops working. Prepare to lose a lot of money because you can never be confident Wheels has recorded your full trip.

Wheels

It has worked fine so far now let’s see how the update is.

Beware

Wheels is horrible I bought a different app that doesn’t have to be refreshed every morning that cost 60$ annually my company pays for Wheels that never tracks anything unless you open it three times a day to make sure it’s still tracking. I mite as well right down my trips and track them through google maps then to use Wheels

This app is a hot mess

It is slow and prone to crashing and has very few redeeming qualities. Through my personal auto insurance I have State Farm Drive Safe and Save which works great and comes with a beacon that improves trip logging. In short I suggest you model the this app app off of more successful platforms and junk this current version. If I didn’t have to use it for work I guarantee I would not be using this application in its current state.

Very poor tracking and support

Unfortunately Wheels is very unreliable when it comes to tracking your mileage, which is in fact it’s main purpose.
Anytime you report issues to customer support it always ends up being your issue. I.e. cell service not great (Motus always worked with my cell service just fine before)

I actually use a different tracking app to track my mileage and have to spot check this app each month against it. this app is alway off or didn’t track a day because I crossed time zones.

Wheels/service seems like something that should still be in beta phase….

Wheels app

Wheels works fine however it is annoying that basically every time you have to open Wheels on iPhone, it requires updating. Stop updating your app so frequently, people just want to use Wheels .

By

App won’t open 85% of the time

I have to use this every day for work. I have to drive hoping it’s tracking. It won’t open so I can login it won’t open so I can check my trips. Today it will not open at all. Occasionally I can do it 50 times and it’ll open but not today!
