UPoint Mobile HR Reviews

This is not an app. I wish I read the reviews before I downloaded. It is simply a link to your HR’s sign on screen. But by being this “portal” to your HR site, it creates huge issues when navigating UPoint . It’s super slow, sometimes won’t load. The aspect ratio is off since the “portal” changes the sizing of the page you clicked to. This is not an intuitive app because it is truly not an app. It’s a joke.

You’ll save yourself a headache (migraine) by simply bookmarking the actual HR site. This “app” has a terrible UI, not friendly to use, takes forever to load, and is cumbersome to use. It’s actually worse than using Safari or Chrome on your phone since it tries to condense the original layout into a phone’s tiny screen. Makes it really hard to read and press the links properly.

I see the developer responded and said they’ll roll out an update later this year. Until then, don’t bother downloading this. It’s a colossal waste of time and huge disappointment. Just bookmark your HR site or “add to home screen.” You’ll need to enter your credentials each time, but that’s the same process as this “app.” But the bookmark will save you tons of time, I promise.

I love that I can see information right up front on the first page without having to go any further if I don’t want to. I usually just want to go into UPoint to see some particular information and it is right on the first page. I don’t have to login all the way like I used to have to AND when I do, the menu is so much easier and clearer. I love this new app!

Took them a long time to get in to the 21st century and this is what they come up with. Every time you click the few things on UPoint it takes you to the web browser to open it. So what’s the point? You might as well use the web browser and forget about UPoint. I feel like I wasted my time trying to set it up and to get the password working, because it kept saying wrong password even tho it was copied from the keychain. I wish I could say this is a good start but it’s just a start.

Last update broke things. When you open UPoint it just brings up a white screen. Was this thing tested before release?

As for when it works...

Just a browser to the web version. Lame. Plus you have to search for your company every time you log in even though it prefills the box. I hate Alight or whatever the name of the day is for these people. Hewitt Aon.... just taking a bad reputation and trying to cover it up. UPoint is par for the course with them.
Latest update doesn’t even have the items advertised. UPoint is so pointless. So is Alight.
Can I please go back to the old 401(k) provider? They had an actual app that allowed you to manage your contributions, allocations, well...everything!!!! Such a step backwards. Welcome to 1995.

Update: they said last June that the “app” experience would be released during the summer. It is now February. Typical Alight not living up to promises made. (Almost two years now!!!!)

Good idea but the retirement calculator is BROKEN! I’ve called 3 times and explain the issue of a wheel spinning when trying to project retirement dates, it saying almost done and never moves from there. They promise an email from support within 24 hours and I get NOTHING! This is happening on the website as well. They say it works for them and I tell them I’ve had 2 other coworkers try to project retirement dates and it doesn’t work for them either!

Awful. It took 40 minutes to reset passwords and get security codes all so that it can tell me there is a technical error and to try again later. All I’m trying to do is access a w2. Oh and the idea of emailing hr to update your email and hope it’s taken care of in a WEEK?! The employee should own this data!! Seriously FirstAmerican needs Paycom it’s what my company uses and so so soooo much easier plus all in a single database. Wish this was that easy!

I find UPoint very basic. I like to do a lot of research regarding my investments and UPoint is not able to provide that. I also find it a little difficult to navigate to where I need to go but that could possibly be user error. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement.

UPoint along with the company website is impossible to logon to. The neither UPoint of the alight website work with Lasspass. The user logon keeps filling in and displaying the password. If I reset the password on the website UPoint will not accept the password. If I reset the password through UPoint the the website will not accept the password. I can’t a strong password because I have to manually enter it each time. This company needs to be pulled out of the 1800’s and into today security requirements.

The only advantage is that you can set up face id on iphone to skip the madness of logging into the website with a saved password. (Every time I try to log into the website my iphone offers to create TWO new passwords). After some pain setting up UPoint , at least now I can do face id but virtually All the functions in UPoint are shortcuts to the website. A complete waste of storage space almost.

I found it to be very useful and well designed for quick references to and calculations within in the Thrift Plan.

However, it is not as well designed for probes into beneficiary information and choices made upon retirement. I found it rather clumsy. Of course, it could be poor navigation skills on my part.

Does a good job providing very basic info. such as current balance, cumulative contribution, and portfolio composition, but lacks many other nice-to-have features: account market value & cumulative contribution vs. time graph, ability to sell/purchase securities or change where future contributions go, etc.

Great updates to functionality and UI. Simple and clear graphics and easy to find important things quickly. Looking forward to more updates, but great progress and usability.

I agree with the earlier comments that it is a useless app. Can basically only check your total balance after logging in. Any other selections take you to the online website. After latest OS update it keeps wanting to login over and over again after logging out. Just use the website and that can only be on Google Chrome. The website does not work well on other browsers.

Very thorough, efficient, and intuitive to use! Very simplified explanations and details galore! I’ve been waiting for years for a simplified and comprehensive way to review actual benefits and projected benefits!
Way to go Alight and J&J!

Downloaded UPoint . It forwards me back to the normal this app website. Why? This should provide all functionality of the website does. Not sure what the point of this is. Also the basic information for a retiree should not require a work email address. I am constantly being asked for work email address when I don’t physically go to an office location. Please improve UPoint.

You should advertise UPoint on the desktop page more! I had no idea this existed, so convenient with FaceID to manage investments and to access health info quickly.

Anything else you want to know or do to you retirement benefit you will have to call the costumer office and they never answer the call. They also have the call back system that also doesn’t work because in the 13 time I called and spend hour waiting an answer theirs sistant cuts the call and never return the call

Love that I can quickly see my 401k balance and health spending account balance as well as my last paycheck. Great to see the developers improve UPoint and bring new features.

The best aspect of this is that I can scan the insurance cards so I have one place to access health, dental, vision, and prescription insurance cards in one place. I had my spouse and kids download UPoint and was disappointed when I saw my scanned cards didn’t automatically upload to UPoint on their smart phones even though they used the same log in information!

UPoint doesn’t contain any of my benefit information. What a waste! But, you have the option of taking pictures of your insurance cards and adding them each individually. Or UPoint will open a web page for you so you can go through another login process. So, deleting UPoint a second time.

UPoint is helpful. Commenting because so many are saying it’s not a try app. That was an older version. But it’s been refreshed, is easy to use and gives you the basics you need right upfront

UPoint has improved a lot as compared to previous.

This is simply a link to my company's own HR benefits site via Safari. I can't even choose to open it up in another browser, like Chrome or Opera.
What's the point? I still have to enter my password so I might as well log on directly in Chrome without an app icon taking up space on my home screen.

Maybe in the next version? Is it a feature?
This “app” is just a series of links to other sites that really have the information you are looking for. Which is not the expectation given that it is SO DIFFICULT to find your way in.

User friendly interface

I like the quick responsive text if I forget my password. The graphs and charts are simple.

Love it! I can check my accounts anywhere at any time! Easy to use and navigate.

This is just web portal access to employers benefits. There is no functionality within UPoint . Developer claims it is my employer that does not offer this functionality - but why not? Isn’t it standard and work across across all companies? If not it should be - should not be on the employer to set this up.
