LOVE the new app!!! Hooters actually LISTENED!
The new App that came out last week is TONS better than the old one. I have been really harsh in prior reviews because the old app constantly glitched and really didn’t have much functionality. The new app is MUCH more user friendly and it actually works really well and posts points and awards fast. Plus now the app lets you order food and get points on those orders...BONUS! I still wish more of their restaurants were using the app for ordering because I travel a lot. I did see some new locations accepting orders recently so hope that continues so all can get covered...gotta get my wings!
The new app is far better than what Hooters used to have. When using the new app with a reward your points are automatically added to your balance. Only drawback is to the rewards program itself. When migrating from the old app to the new one, rewards that previously had a years lifetime were reduced to 30 days. All new rewards are only good for 30 days. It o ly has three levels that can be reached qui kly if you visit regularly. After tat you get a reward every 8 visits. Allowing users to keep rewards for 6 months at least would make Hooters competitive with other sports establishments
This new app is greatly improved over the last one. What I like: - New app is much easier to use!! - I can enter ticket immediately instead of having to wait a day or more to enter them. - Much more reliable rewards so far. A few recommended changes though: - I always have to manually enter tickets. The scan feature just doesn’t work that well. Should probably test with bar codes that are printed with ribbons that are light because they have been used. - I was at Orange level in the old app... I was bumped back down to the silver level again when I signed into the new app. That was disappointing. Don’t penalize existing, faithful customers when you roll out something new. - I tried to log in from another device that I use (iPhone and iPad) but doesn’t just let me log in... I have seem to have to go through the sign up process all over again on the second device. Still needs some work, but greatly improved
Hooters in Gateway Blvd
Excellent. We went to Hooters on Monday for the football and all you can eat wings. New kitchen staff and the smoked wings, fried pickles, and naked wings were fresh and served hot. The food was as ordered with know send backs or complaints. I appreciated that our orders were fixed fresh on every reorder. The pickles are to die for. Large pickles that are fried and not greasy served with ranch dressing. Yum!!! Our server, Ms. Antoinette made us feel at home and went over the menu and made helpful suggestions for our food orders. Thanks for being so kind to all of us Ms. Antoinette.
things to add to this app
I love the idea of earning points from purchases but I feel like for the app itself it should have more ordering options. for example a lot of people get wings half and half and split it into 2 different sauces I feel like that should be a option and another option should be combined sauces some people want more then one... most times they get dry rub mixed with a wet one. We should have those options like we have in the restaurant itself. I love hooters wings they are my favorite but if I’m lazy at home and want some wings I would wanna have it delivered like I was to order it at the restaurant.
Conversion to New App
I enjoy the new app and it is easy to work. It includes more features. The conversion was easy but very disappointing. On the old app, I had about 13 $10 off rewards spread out to June 2020 to use (reward issue gave you one year to use reward). All rewards converted over but had to use them within 30 days. Meaning, I had to use the rewards within 30 days or lose them. I could use one reward once a day. Thus I ended up losing 9 rewards. Very disappointing.
Like the new app!
Love the wings and the atmosphere already, the new app is easy to use, especially to order takeout. The rewards seem a little harder to achieve. Warning if you are switching from the old app to this new app or you earn rewards...you have a limited time to use them (30 days?). Maybe not for switching to new app, I think if you earn the reward it should never expire. I lost some because I was traveling and wasn’t able to get to a restaurant to use them.
Don’t get what I order
Two times ago I app ordered I was shorted three bacon wrapped wings. I complained, spoke to a manager who said he would load replacement wings on my account to redeem. Never happen. Last week I ordered sauce on side and the sauce was on the wings. Tonight paid extra for Daytona sauce for bacon wrapped. The wings were correct but NO sauce on the side that I paid for. For $45 it shouldn’t be that hard to do simple things correctly. Three for three. If I call they will tell me to come back. If I had that kind of time I wouldn’t be app ordering on the way home for pick up. ... be warned, your order is just a suggestion but you’ll still be charged
App needs fixed
I visit Hooters multiple times a week with my friends. We had a competition to see who can have the most points just as bragging rights. Here lately we have noticed the app isn’t taking our receipts. It keeps saying it’s taking longer than expected to find my receipt. I’ve even went in a couple days later and it’s still looking. So why should we go in and spend over $100 foot three points if we’re not going to get credit. We have emailed the maker in the app and no response. Just like this review will get no response.
Completely NEW app is fantastic
Previous versions of this app had some bugs. Hooters also used to have two different apps and now has combined them into one. Free loyalty rewards, I can use coupons on to-go orders, ordering is super easy. Trying to find something to leave a “con” about, but so far, my only complaint is that this didn’t come out years ago.
Bland and cold order - disappointed again!
Our order was from the Round Rock location. The boneless wings were very cold when we received the order and we were missing one of the fried pickles. The rest of the bone-in wings were very bland and missing flavor. The curly fries were also cold even though we waited over 45 minutes past the time the order was supposed to be ready, sadly the majority of the food was not good. We were extremely disappointed in this order of wings. There’s a reason we haven’t eaten Hooters in years, and this order just confirmed and reminded us of the disappointing flavor.
I tried to merge my old account in to this new app. I’m not sure why they needed a new app but what I do know is that I selected the option to merge my old account in to this app. I had forgotten what email address that I used for the old app. Instead of alerting me to my mistake it created me a new account and I lost all my previous points and free coupons I had built up. When I tried to merge again it basically said that I already had an account on this device. I wrote them for assistance and got nothing back so far and it’s been a week. A fail as far as I am concerned.
Missing Hooters location
New Hooters location in Oklahoma City at Penn & Memorial. Does not show up on the app. You’ve missed lots of orders because of this. Location also missing from the Hoot Club app which doesn’t recognize receipts from this location. Everyday I check to see if the location has been added & when I see it’s still missing, I open the Potbelly Sandwich app & order from your Next door neighbor. Their ordering & Rewards app works flawlessly. Seriously, you should consider going back to the Hoot club punch cards...at least they used to work.
They almost got the order right
I ordered from Sanford, FL Towne center location. A chicken Caesar salad and 10 hot boneless chicken bits. There was no chicken on the salad, and the hot sauce on the chicken was somewhere between a mild and medium sauce. I will admit, it was super busy at the restaurant as they had a car show. But I put the order in 3 hours prior to pick up. I had received a groupon deal of $10 off for a $20 order. So basically after their mistake I didn’t get such a discount at all. Not worth it!
My account migrated OK... But for some reason when I go to scan or enter barcode from receipts it says that the receipt has already been scanned. Hopefully this gets straightened out. Also... If you "log out" of the app you are prompted to migrate your account... If you click "current user" you will be told your account already exists. The correct path to log back in is to click "New User" and then "Log In". This was kind of confusing. Aside from these things it's a good app that just needs a little work / updating to get it 100% right. I accept free beer and chicken wings for my reviews. Just saying 😜
