Midnight Pulp Reviews

I originally had the ConTv app and subscription but was forced to change to Midnight Pulp . I signed up for a monthly subscription to Midnight Pulp back in April and SINCE APRIL have not been able to watch any content on MidnightPulp . I have been charged several months already but I still cannot watch any content. Whenever I select a tv show or film I am redirected to a choose your subscription plan screen . I already sent an email to customer support ( if you can call it that) back in May and was sent a response that there was in issue with the servers not syncing subscriptions. This was back in early May. As of July 5th I’m still not able to watch and tv shows or content of any sort. I’ve been charged every month since April for a monthly subscription but can not watch anything . MidnightPulp is incredibly frustrating .

Watch a movie for 5 minutes...4 ads play. Movie doesn’t come back, black screen...just sits there, no loading spinning circle. I have updated my appletv and still nothing. Get out of app and go back in, movie shows up for a second and then the ads...black screen. Please, please fix this! I would go premium if it worked properly. Thanks

Literally you spend more time being interrupted than watching the show, every 2 min you have to sit through 4 min of ads that take another 4 minutes to load and half of them are for MidnightPulp.

Why the actual F do you advertise an app on the same app?

Obviously I know about it and have already downloaded it, besides wasting my time what is the point?

I'm not sure why MidnightPulp doesn't change orientations correctly. Will drive you crazy by always opening in portrait mode and you have to browse shows etc in that orientation until you view, then it changes to landscape. When you exit it once again goes into portrait mode.

This will drive you mad over time.

Also the Apple TV app defaults to subtitles on and nothing you do will make it default to subtitles off. The minute you open a new show after turning off subtitles, guess what?

Subtitles are back on.

If you want to be driven crazy by a set of apps you need to pay for, download and subscribe to this one.

The new update is better looking for the menus and the live schedule for the 12.9" iPad Pro. But when you switch to full screen, the screen locks which direction the landscape mode is in and never switches. Which for my display is upside down. Wish someone would have tested this before sending it out.

For a better and more fluid experience please update the fast forward and rewind feature. When I fast forward or rewind I wish I could see the scene it’s going be. Right now you have to do it blindly and simply be guessing which scene you be on.

Navigation is my biggest issue with MidnightPulp , but it is a young app. I expect this is on a list of items to improve on whenever time or resources free up. There are a few goofy things with the UX, like movie descriptions are so far away from the selected movie. There is a playlist thing that happens. One movie ends and the next one from the menu starts to play afterwards. I actually like this. It reminds me of falling asleep to late night tv and then waking up to who knows what. App is growing. Content is good and varied.

I stream the channel from my phone to a google chromecast. When my phone goes to sleep or back to the home screen I lose the ability to control the media. Very frustrating! Especially since I upgraded to premium membership. Please tell me there’s an update on the horizon...

In response to the developer’s answer: is there a timetable for a fix on this? I want to use MidnightPulp more often, but am continually frustrated by the interface!

Great content but MidnightPulp has its problems. It’s sometimes unresponsive when you try to add a film to a playlist or back out of a section. So many films you can’t view any info because it’s “pulp premium” but you can view those movies on the TV app and only some of the premium films are actually labeled premium, so navigating can be a little irritating sometimes. But playback is good, it otherwise run well.

i LOVE MidnightPulp , it's really cool and kind of unique! but the first biggest problem i noticed is that there is NO SUBTITLES. older movies audio isnt that great, so subtitles would be super helpful. another big problem i have is there is no fast forwarding or rewinding buttons while watching something. this is bad considering you can only do so by the bar at the top which is hard to get to a specific time. i also dont like that there's no full description for the movies when you click them, at one point a sentence just trails off with periods. if you guys going to do that then maybe let there be an expand option for the rest who want to read it all. also, the menu feels a bit cramped. it's kind of overwhelming with all the covers of the movies. if you guys fix these things (albeit the menu thing maybe) then i would glady pay for Pulp+

The content on MidnightPulp is unbelievably precious- right up my alley! I'm so happy that someone decided to give the (other) people what they want. The only thing I would say that makes things difficult is that when you try to return to a movie after a few minutes outside MidnightPulp - you lose your place. Simple convenience tips for the user friendliness but other than I think it's fantastic!!

This is the Netflix for people like me. Anime, horror, cult, great selection. There were some bugs when it first launched, but it works PERFECTLY now. Going to get it on my Roku also.

How could you not love MidnightPulp? Sure, there are lots of commercials and they’re all for Korean shows, but they’re easy to endure for the awesome selection of anime, gore, and general craziness that you get with these movies.

Lots of great content on here. A reasonable library available for free too! One tiny complaint I have is that my status bar icons don’t turn white when I’m using MidnightPulp . Not a big deal though.

I love it!!! Watching all these movies that I grew up with on my phone with no subscription required. I believe that old movies that no one watches anymore should just be free stream. Especially really old movies before 2000

I haven't had a reason to upgrade to the subscription yet because of how much content there is. The ads are not bothersome and the interface is very handy. This is the first app I've ever wanted to write a review for. \m/ great app

I have never once wrote a review for this very reason. I wanted to use my one and only review on MidnightPulp that I’ve always wanted. This gives me the scifi/anime/horror I want to watch and can’t. Thank you Midnight Pulp. 🖤

I absolutely love the collection of content on this streaming service but I pay for this to have 4min of ads for every 8 mins of actual content....kinda ridiculous I will be ending my subscription

Difficult to find cult movies, movies I haven’t seen in decades, and plenty of new gems. The most fun I’ve had searching for movies since Blockbuster closed!!! Get MidnightPulp! And support the company by paying for the RX!!! But the free stuff is GREAT too!

Have not seen this genre since the 70s where I can get past first base with my wife. She loves the films!
