External Accounts

This is the worst banking app I have used. I was able to transfer money from an external account to my car loan the first time with much research and frustration. There is no guided step on how to pay from an external account since there are many steps. The verification process is the only listed guide. I had to call customer service to walk me through the transfer process wasting my time. So I made my second payment and yet again problem arise. I pressed the make a payment button with an external account and screen takes me to a list of my accounts. I just want to make a freaking payment !! You would think everything would go smoothly since I made my first payment . This does not need to be complicated.. !! It is supposed to be user friendly and IT IS NOT. Very disappointed.

SO. SLOW.

I cannot believe PSECU was actually released with the amount of issues it has. PSECU is SO SLOW. When logging in, I can actually walk away from my phone to make a pot of coffee before PSECU actually loads my accounts. Depositing checks is also a pain! Not only is it slow to load the photos I take, it takes FOREVER to accept the deposit. PSECU also crashes several times before accepting a deposit—so it takes me up to 15 minutes to deposit even one check! I’m glad there’s another credit union down the street from me—at least I can bank through them if this isn’t corrected in the near future. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Now, since I don’t like to be super negative about everything—I will actually commend you on the “Account Insights” feature. For a graduate student with very little cash flow, it’s nice to see how my accounts stack up monthly. I just hope you can get all of these bugs figured out so PSECU can actually perform the way it needs to.

Edit: thanks for the generic reply, I guess? I’m not excited about the new features you plan to release—I just want a functional app.

Arghhh. Just read reviews

I recd notice on old app it was no longer functional after August 8. So downloaded new one. Holy cannoli people. I’ll continue to use old one until you boot me off. This is what happens when the user is 60 plus and the developer isn’t. I don’t use many apps. I used to tell people how great the this app app was. It was ahead of its time. Best banking app ever. No more. New one is clunky. Hard to move through. Takes freaking forever to change screens. I’m on an updated 6s. Maybe by August it will improve. Doubt it. Really disappointing.

Ok. So I recd a lame, template response. Honestly with an average of 2.2 rating GET A CLUE. PSECU is so unuser friendly it has me looking for other financial institutions. Seriously. I will move. PSECU is clunky. Difficult to see. Challenging to navigate. And I get the security thing. I actually TEACH cyber security to small businesses. But there is no excuse for such an inept execution on the front end. You can do better. I’m not happy about moving to a PNC or Citizens mega bank but for me it’s important PSECU is user friendly. This mess is not.

PSECU going downhill fast

The new app layout blows. So much wasted space and can’t see the needed information in the summaries list so you have to click on most everything to see what it says. Then go back to the list and repeat. Absolutely terrible. I’ve recommended this app to many people, but obviously they are now growing too big for themselves. 2 years in a row of eliminating the member rewards to “reinvest” in themselves. I’d really like to see where that money goes. As a “member owned” bank, it should be provided upfront if you’re using our reward money for something else.

You open PSECU . Then stare at your screen for 10 seconds waiting for the facial recognition to load. It does and then you wait 10 more seconds for the accounts to load. It does. Then you click on which account you want to view and wait 5 seconds to even know if it registered your click/tap. Worst banking app I’ve ever dealt with, and I have several.

Don’t fix what isn’t broken

Sept 14th. PSECU was great, perfect in my personal opinion it did everything I needed to do when I wanted to do it. I’ve finally decided to update it and I completely regret it. The widget is bugged. The old app I could choose which account I want to see the new app no. My main problem is trying to access the widget. I’m constantly being told the balances aren’t available when my screen is locked. I have an IPhone X when I look at the phone it unlocks . Not to mention I’ve made sure to unlock the phone. The old app allowed me to view balances when the screen was locked... please fix this.

Update. 11/21 PSECU got worse. I was able to view checking or savings for a while but it automatically defaults back to savings after some time, on the widget . The widget now is never available. It’s constantly telling me my phone had to be unlocked which again iPhone X. It’s unlocked simply by looking at it. Thinking about just deleting PSECU .

Formerly a great app, terrible in today’s world.

Since 2006 I have been banking with this app with great pleasure… up until about three years ago. As a bank, they’re great! Anytime I’ve ever had to call during business hours and speak to someone they were incredibly helpful. PSECU, however, is a complete mess and makes banking difficult and frustrating. I frequently have issues logging in, transferring money between accounts and paying my credit card bill. Thankfully the only thing that I have not had issues with lately have been depositing checks. Considering that I exclusively bank from my mobile device, it is becoming increasingly difficult to justify using this app as my bank.

I read another review from three years ago stating similar issues and the developer responded by saying that a new version would be releasing within weeks. Three years later, these issues have not been addressed, and it is clear that they are not being prioritized. I would proceed with caution if you need access to your account from a mobile device within a timely manner, or if you intend to exclusively bank from your mobile device like I do.

This app needs to be updated

I love this app. Maybe this isn’t the apps fault maybe it’s more the banking part itself, however it’s very frustrating that I’ll have money pending from previous transaction and then in a few days the pending is gone and I have more money in my account than I should. Then in a few days I’ll log back on and the money will be pulled days after I purchased my items. It’s very very frustrating because I never know if what’s in my account is accurate so I have to go back and double check every purchase to ensure they did come out, and if not I have to keep a mental note so I know what will be coming out. I’m annoyed because this wasn’t always like this. I noticed this happening more and more the last few months and I’m sick of it. Honestly thinking of switching banks at this point.

Get Real Users To Test App

I was able to log into PSECU . I found out the reason why I could not sign in and it was because my internet security was blocking a request that it through was malware. After allowing the request I was able to login to PSECU . For me this issue had to do with my iPhone X. However, this does not happen for the iPhone 7 which, is how I found out about my issue. When I added PSECU on the iPhone 7 to see if it would work it did.

I’m giving PSECU 3 stars for now until I check out the options in PSECU .

The new addition/fixes still do not work. I still cannot log in however, I have no problems logging in on the previous app. I think based on the ratings for PSECU that you need to start all over and go through PSECU step by step because it is not working. I will continue to use the previous app. Good luck with PSECU.

My issue with PSECU is does it work? I try a number of times to get into PSECU but it has not happen. You are supposed to sign in with your User ID and password. It does not work. I know my User ID and I called Customer Service to reset password because PSECU locked my out. So, with a new password and User ID it still does not work. I will until to use the old app and will not be using PSECU until it is fix.

iPhone 14 Pro UI bugs

It seems like it’s hard for my fingers to tap on some of the menu options at the top of the screen because they are hidden behind the status bar and the dynamic island at the top. I am noticing that PSECU takes a lot longer than usual, compared to my other banking apps to load up. While everything appears to function as intended, it takes longer than it should to work. But yes, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 promax need to be made compatible because it looks like part of the interface is always hidden behind the status bar and my fingers cannot always touch the buttons in the upper left corner or the upper right corner like for logging out or tapping on the main menu with my iPhone 14 Pro

Agitated

this app. You all have to do something with PSECU. Every time that I attempt to use my cellular data to log in and conduct banking I receive a message indicating I have a connection error and don’t have internet connectivity to use PSECU . I know I don’t have internet connectivity, (WiFi) I understand that but I should still be able to conduct banking though PSECU . and I can’t. I have contacted you guys via phone and explained the issue and was advised it would be looked into however it still is not working. I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no fix to this issue. How about we fix this issue the only time I can use PSECU is while I’m on wifi. I’ve even logged on with wifi turned off wifi and attempted to use that app and then gotten the error message. I have been next to friends that have been able to log on via cell data but I can’t, what gives.

Love the app upgrade!

I liked PSECU before but now it is so much easier to use- especially to switch accounts. Love it!!! Good job! this app is very consumer focused- they keep their fees low and very responsive anytime I have had a question. We have been a customer for years and have no regretted them being our main bank. The only issue that could be a problem is we are not close to any branches. However, we can change our daily limit for 24 hours to get cash out when we need it. Plus they reimburse you if you have to use an ATM out of network.!!

Slow? Delete & Reinstall!

I love the functionality and was getting so frustrated with the slowness. I’d wait to login, for the summary screen to load, to view the account details.
While adding this comment I saw a developer response to another comment about slowness where they recommended deleting PSECU and reinstalling. Thank You for responding! That solved my issue, it isn’t slow and the face login is enabled.
Recommendation to add this kind of note to the top of the login page (like when notifying outages) or send email when this kind of issue is known to impact user experience.

Worst version of the app thus far

Every time I log into PSECU it takes at least 30 seconds to load my accounts or move to different trans actions and to make a transaction! I made a transfer this morning and it actually shut PSECU down on me. It completed the transaction but I had to log in again and waited longer than 30 seconds for the accounts to load this time. I also get the message that something wrong happened frequently when logged into PSECU , even switching views. Please work on this. It’s very annoying.

New update billpayer issues

Trying to use billpayer with the ‘new rebranded’ update...I can go into the billpayer and enter the amount and then it takes me to the next screen to select a date and once I select the date the bottom of the screen is cutoff to where you would hit schedule or whatever it says down there. I cannot scroll up or anything, all I can see is the top sliver of the green box but I can get it to touch register and like I said I cant scroll it up. Im on a iphone 8+. I always loved the this app app and this is a small issue that can easily be fixed

PSECU Member

I have been a member of the credit union for many years and over those years have used Checking, Savings, Money Market, Founders Card, Custodial accounts for our kids and multiple car and RV loans over the years and have never had regrets that we left using regular banks. With PSECU you can pay bills, transfer money, make deposits, open accounts, change limits on both atm and founders card instantly and message the credit union with any questions. Also if you need to call the credit union, as long as you have your account information and can verify they can do almost anything with a single call.

Had no problems til today

I’ve always been pleased with the accessibility and ease of using the this app app on my iPhone. Never had problems with accessing my records of transactions, moving money, or depositing checks mobily. Today, however, I kept getting a pop up that stated “for security reasons, PSECU cannot be used on this device.” 🤷🤷 why? Yesterday, it worked just great! Today, not so much. I wanted to easily transfer money between checking and savings accounts, but now can’t do so, with ease. I was able to access the web version on my phone, but managing my funds is not as easy there.

First rate

In a matter of minutes, I downloaded, installed and navigated PSECU . Granted, I haven’t actually used it, but it was easy to get around for everything I do. Only downside is print is smaller than I prefer but i will check my phone settings to see if I can bump it up a tad

I give it 5 stars because of extreme ease of the process and checking everything out. Maybe I got a newer version than what the naysayers have but I do not recommend waiting to the last minute to get it.

Edit: I have now used it extensively and my 5 stars stand. Depositing checks was even easier. Those that give the latest version a low rating cannot possibly be using the same app or maybe they are trolling.

Much better than the reviews indicate

I almost didn’t download PSECU because of all of the negative reviews. But because I was able to keep the old version, I went ahead and downloaded the new app. Maybe all of the kinks have been worked out, but I have had none of the problems described by other reviewers. PSECU is responsive, intuitive and it has some nice upgrades, like the ability to login with a fingerprint. I have not yet deleted the old app, but I haven’t used it once since downloading the latest version. I think this is a solid app, and I wouldn’t let all of the poor reviews keep you from trying it out. Don’t forget that you can still use the old app - just don’t delete it until you’re sold on the new version.

New App doesn’t mean better...

I understand the new app was built to allow more security, and a platform for future advances, but there shouldn’t be a security check with every viewing action. Moving between page panels is painful when all I want to do is view recent transaction and activity. The security should be when getting into an account (which already takes too long), not with every movement within PSECU . I can get faster response time through a web browser or phone call than PSECU... sometimes a new app doesn’t mean a better app. The last app was fast, functional, and customer friendly. I would actually use the old app as a talking point of why I liked banking with this app. This new app isn’t doing this app any favors in customer retention or word of mouth.

Best online bank

I have been with this app since I was 16 years old.. I am now 39 in those 23 years I have been very pleased with them. Since I started doing the online banking it’s been a breeze for a dinosaur like me. Heck I didn’t even know what a smart phone was until last year when they stole my nokia phone. Man I loved that phone it would make a call from the moon! Speaking of moon did anyone see the space x launch? The one where the mouse runs across the ship in the background? While the the astronaut is doing a space walk. Wild stuff ep stream didn’t kill himself!!!
