I used SmoodtheSwissDeliveryApp for the first time because Uber Eats was not available in my area. I placed an order with a restaurant and waited for delivery. SmoodtheSwissDeliveryApp notified me that the driver was at my door, but was not. Five minutes later SmoodtheSwissDeliveryApp marked my order as delivered. NOTHING was delivered and I never saw a driver, or any vehicle moving on my street for that matter. I tried to call the restaurant, but they said it was out of their hands and to call the delivery company. I called Smood customer service and was told the the call would cost me CHF 0.99 per minute and to use chat for as a free contact method. ANYTHING I typed into chat was replied with, ‘sorry, I did not understand that. Can you please try again.’ I called customer service and was on hold for 5 minutes before I spoke to a person. Again, I was placed on hold while they called the driver to investigate. They came back and said the driver called me 3 times. I never received ANY calls form ANYONE during the time the driver supposedly called. I asked for proof. They sent me an email with a screenshot of the supposed calls. Nothing showing it was my number called. First alleged call showed 0 seconds, second alleged call was 3 seconds, and the last was 5 seconds. Smood refused to do anything further saying the the order shows it was delivered. So now I’m out CHF 80 thanks to a dishonest driver and customer service representative.
Don’t use Smood. If there’s a delivery issue, they probably won’t help. And…they’ll charge you for their ‘service’.
