This is the worst banking app I've ever used. SC is the sole reason why I am thinking of changing the bank. It’s slow, ui is a mess. You need to logout manually, if you don’t log out and close SC , it keeps the session and if you keep doing this the id gets blocked.
The ui doesn’t make any sense, styling is non existance, any 12 yo with 6 months internship training can build a better app than this.
The security is a joke, you can read inbox messages without even logging in.
take inspiration from other standard Chartered banking apps, look at their Pakistan version.
Whoever is in charge of developing SC should rethink his or her career.

Hi, Please update the ASAP, looking too much odd. A international Bank’s UI and other function should be unique but SC is looking too much ugly and not usable at all. If you guys can’t provide a better UI and other functions then please remove SC , also SC doesn’t suit with IPhone XS Max, need to be full screen view . After get review I will change my star ratings.

All other banking apps in Bangladesh are changing to a simplified user friendly app layout, while SCB mobile app seems very sluggish and behind the competition compared to local banks. I hope SCB bangladesh invests into a better user friendly banking app.

Even B graded local banks have better app. No functions at all.
The current app lacks functionality and is not user-friendly. The landing page is poorly designed, displaying balances in oversized block letters. It would be beneficial to draw inspiration from banks such as MTBL, NRBC, City, or others.

In the beneficiary screen the action button disappear after entering the amount. Menu comes in the middle of the screen when scrolling. Completely unusable app. Shame on SCB for not fixing this after complains of other reviews about this issue.

I don’t understand how they call themselves a multinational bank yet offer such a low-quality app that completely lacks user-friendliness. It’s clear they didn’t even conduct a proper competitor analysis before launching. The interface is outdated, navigation is frustrating, and essential features are either missing or poorly designed.

If you don’t already have a connection with SCB in Bangladesh, don’t bother opening an account here—you’ll face unnecessary hurdles. A bank of this scale should prioritize digital experience, but unfortunately, SC fails to meet even basic expectations.

App has useful features, but without any reason, user id/password gets locked every few weeks. Need to contact call center to unlock. Very cumbersome. May stop using SC and go to web version.

It was bad enough earlier, until the last update. The top menu bar come to the center of the screen in some pages.
Just redesign SC and web portal(yes that is horrible too). Collaborate with a good Developer team and UX designers. I would give minus rating if I could.

I cannot transfer my money to any other local bank, every time after all the procedures it takes to me login page and I’ve to login all again, still it doesn’t work out. NPSB transfer is just impossible, beftn has hassle. Called few times but they fail to solve the issue.
Not recommended their services.

After updating to ios 16.4 whenever i am scrolling and trying to confirm a transaction, the options get vanished
But when i click on the empty space where the confirm button was situated before, it works. The options to select cancel or confirm doesn’t show up but if i click where it was suppose to be it works. Please fix it

Please make SC more lighter. It’s taking too long time to load. You don’t need to show Animated videos before and after login and logout. It’s not a video streaming OTT App.

Please make SC more user friendly. Try to keep it simple and please add checking and downloading monthly statements option. Functions and features are very complicated.

Please make SC as simple as possible like other banking app.

The Standard Chartered Bank mobile application is a complete disappointment. The user interface is clunky and unintuitive, making it difficult to navigate through the different functions. SC is also slow, which can be frustrating when you're trying to make a transaction or check your account balance. The customer service is not helpful, and it takes forever to get a response from them. Overall, I would not recommend using the Standard Chartered Bank app. It's a waste of time and can cause unnecessary stress.

SC functions perfectly except when i enable face ID or fingerprint unlocking feature. When you log out and confirm, app displays a re login pop up for Face Id or fingerprint. If you’re starring at your phone you will be logged in automatically through face ID detection or if you place your fingers on the fingerprint scanner it does the same.

Biometric Login is not working in current update.
It worked very well in previous version. I tried many times but there is no option pop up in login page.
Can you consider and review this issues?

Keeps asking to register to inbox feature when already registered. Slows down everything as a result.

SC is pretty useful; the downside is when it says “continue to log out” logs in again in a continuos loop if face ID is active. The phone must be placed away from your face in order to log out successfully. Please fix it.

SC is good and useful but since two or three months the face unlock isn’t working. So each & every time I need yo manually enter the id password. Which is tiresome. The devs should solve issue ASAP.

This is a very useful and easy to use app. Please keep updating SC every week for performance improvement and bring new features.

I’ve been using SC for a while. All features are user friendly.

I forgot, when I visited bank last time? SCB apps makes the banking so easy.
