UnityPoint Health Virtual Care Reviews

My husband tried to use UnityPointHealthVirtualCare for the first time tonight. He started out with 1 patient ahead of him, when it said he was next, UnityPointHealthVirtualCare shut down. We tried again and he started with 3 ahead. When he got to the point where it was his turn, it jumped back and said 1 ahead of him, then after waiting 15 minutes, UnityPointHealthVirtualCare shut off. Tried one more time and it said 7 patients ahead now, but UnityPointHealthVirtualCare shut down before he moved up. Probably won’t be using this again.

App had me wait 15 mins then said Doctor no longer available - it shouldn’t allow me in a waiting room if a shift is soon to be over- but it redirected me to another female
Who was super nice- patient and informative - she didn’t judge me like other doctors or tell me to “just stop picking” at my skin like I want to have dermatollmania:p thanks for having this option Unity point!

As a teacher and a mom of three busy kids, getting myself to the doctor is not an easy feat. When I felt the same strep sore throat I had just recently gotten over upon waking up this morning, I immediately hopped on to see if I could get another prescription. I was able to chat with a doctor and get a stronger prescription (as well as a script for possible side effects) for less than the cost of our copay, all before 7 am. The doctor was so friendly to chat with - I don’t ever leave app reviews but I was so impressed with this service that I felt I had to. We will utilize it often!

Had a tooth crack on me over the weekend and I don’t have insurance so I was trying to tough it out until Monday to see the dentist but the pain would not allow. So my wife told me about this service and I figured I’d give it a try. It was only a fraction of the excepted cost and took a mere 5-10 mins for him to diagnose the problem and prescribed the proper medication to alleviate the pain quickly. Over all very happy with UnityPointHealthVirtualCare and the provider/doctor that was provided..I might actually sleep tonight thank you.

We used the virtual app instead of going to Urgent Care on a Sunday morning, it was great! My 5 year old had pink eye and our virtual appt was so much better than waiting forever at urgent care. We waited less than 1 minute to speak to a nurse practitioner, who was so nice and got a prescription for eye drops sent to our pharmacy. It was so quick and easy, this took less than 5 minutes total time where the urgent care visit would be 2 hrs. We definitely will use again!!! Thank you

I can’t believe I didn’t know this was available! I was able to squeeze an appointment in with a nurse practitioner from the comfort of my couch snuggled next to my dogs while reading my homework, and I didn’t have to expose myself to more germs at a walk-in clinic or my PCP’s office! I was fairly sure what I had and my suspicions were confirmed, and within 10 minutes a script for meds was being zapped to my pharmacy so I could start getting better. SO cool!

While it doesn’t take too long to enter the necessary info, by the time you make the decision to call, you’re usually anxious for assistance. I’m assuming it stores your info, so you’re ready to go the next time you need it.
Dr. Was super nice, efficient and called in RX for me to pick up in 15 minutes. The last time this happened, I had to go to the ER. Wow. What a difference.

I am a mom of three young kids and would recommend this to anyone. I have experienced a handful of providers for issues ranging from rashes, sore throats and ear infections. This is way easier, more efficient and safer than trekking into a clinic with a sick child. I have also used the service for myself and been very pleased with the results!

This was a great experience! It was very quick and simple and found the Dr was pleasing. I did this while I was waiting for my oil to be change! One thing is my insurance provider was not listed but it was just barely over the cost of my copay is. No complaints and I will do this again!

I can’t believe I didn’t know Unity Point has this for 2 years, what a great service! Was able to meet with the primary care nurse and chat for 5 minutes about my symptoms and she was super helpful. Will definitely be using this again rather than wait at the clinic.

Very nice to get care at home& be able to rest on the couch until able to be seen. Was able to get transferred to another Dr more readily available & very pleased with his advice and care! Would definitely recommend this service!

I accessed virtual care through my cellphone at work! It was great and easy to do with some good advice. Will definitely do it again without having to try to find time to get to the doctor office. Thanks!

For this being my first time I am pleased to say my Dr is amazing and asked everything he could and even showed he cared a lot about well being during this time

The doctor was very nice and listened to my concerns. I was able to get a prescription for antibiotics without a visit which is great during this weird time in history. Thank you.

I will definitely use this site again. Much easier than waiting 80 minutes to see a doctor!
