After a failed attempt to checkout, which for whatever reason crashed the app, my next attempt was met with the error: “card number already exists”. I do not have an account made, there was only one payment attempt and it did not charge, yet the app still claims to recognize my card number. Why this is a reason to not let me process my order is another question, but I am concerned by the specific dialogue’s implication. Why and how it would inform me that my card information is on file and no longer usable as a result is baffling. Probably overreacting, but this is only one of ten problems I had on this app within minutes. To receive nothing in return, but give so much information away- I am reporting for sure.

The manager at my local Smashburger recommended that I get the app because I go there 3-4 times a week. I finally decided to download the app, even though the reviews are bad. I can’t concur more. When I try to place an order on the app, it finds my store and I proceed to put together my order. When I’m done and want to check out, it asks me to log in, even though I’m already logged in! I haven’t been able to place an order on the app and now I just call it in and they scan the app so I get the points. Whoever designed this app should be in a different department, as they obviously don’t know how to put together an app that works. Maybe Smashburger should pay Starbucks to use their app developer, as that’s an app that works great.

After you take your time crafting the ultimate double smash experience (x2) the app often crashes when you get to checkout phase of your order. Oh and when you order online it gets better! The location services autocorrected my address (twice) after I correctly imputed my address so $40 worth of food was delivered to the South version of my address. Which hey happens and gifting someone with delicious burgers would be pretty epic pay it forward gesture. But we in a pandemic and my heart can’t accept the idea that someone just left those burgers uneaten. Afraid that instead of smash sauce they might have some rona in them. RIP those burgers. Tl:dr App is trash because it often won’t accept your order. Namaste.
