Mediocre at best

So, FriendlysRestaurant could use a few improvements. For one, the ability to ask for extra things. Example: I order ice cream. There’s no option to ask for peanut butter sauce, extra hot fudge or extra whipped cream, etc.
Second, I order something for delivery. When they finish making the order, FriendlysRestaurant says order completed. Except the order isn’t complete until the food is in my hand. Once the food is made, it should show that it is on the way, preferably with an estimated delivery time.
Last, and this is more about each restaurant. I ordered ice cream. From the time it showed Order Complete until I received it was a little over 35 mins. Ice cream was mostly melted when it got to me. They should be able to put them in some kind of cooler for transport. The Friendly’s near me is maybe 10 mins away. So either they were sitting at the restaurant waiting for the driver, or the driver made other deliveries first with my ice cream sitting next to hot foods. I had to stick all our ice creams in the freezer for a few hours until the word “Ice” was appropriate again.

Not built from a customer perspective

I used FriendlysRestaurant for the first time today. Complaint #1 there’s no place to leave a tip. I would like to tip, estate because I appreciate the workers who are willing to go in despite circumstances. I felt like a jerk for not tipping. #2 I’d appreciate knowing that the order is ready. #3 it would be nice if it included info about how pickup works. You know which location I’m at, seems like it could be location specific without much trouble. I clicked check in and it gave me a number to give my server. Did clicking it alert the store that I was there? Will someone bring it out? Should I just go in? I waited a bit and did go in. I said #XX and it clearly meant nothing to the people inside who asked for my name. Why give a number with no purpose? #4 why not prop the door open?!?!?! Every customer has to touch that same door handle. And then the bag with their food in it. I asked and was told it’s district policy that they can’t. Please explain why not.

Not so bad

FriendlysRestaurant is pretty good. However I would say it could use a little love, for instance maybe adding a button or space to put additional things like adding more sauce on a sandwich or on the side for instance I love the turkey club super melts but they do not always have enough sauce so I ask for extra in FriendlysRestaurant it doesn’t have the option to request additional sauce. Also in FriendlysRestaurant it does not allow to pay cash if you are going to pick up or something it simply wants me to pay by card at all times I should have the ability to pay either way.

Makes it easy to order!

I’ve always loved going to Friendly’s since I was a kid. However, their service was always inconsistent. Thanks to FriendlysRestaurant , I’ve found it is easy to order Friendly’s to go and everything is ready when I arrive. It’s very convenient to browse through the menu and make changes if you want to substitute a side. I also love that I receive rewards through their new loyalty program and that they are automatically added to my account. Using FriendlysRestaurant is definitely the best way to order food and Ice Cream and ensure that you get it in a timely manner.

Needs some fixing...

First time I tried to use FriendlysRestaurant it force closed itself after adding half my items to the cart. After that I realized that customizing your order like you would at the restaurant is very difficult with FriendlysRestaurant. Normally at the restaurant I will ask for extra or light sauce, and you can’t do that with FriendlysRestaurant . Also, they need to broaden their options under certain foods. Burgers should be able to be more customizable in FriendlysRestaurant , just like in the restaurant. Depending on the burger you choose in FriendlysRestaurant , you can only pick certain condiments, sauces, and toppings. You should be able to put any toppings on anything, even if there’s an extra charge associated. I like that there’s an option for people with food allergies.

One small quibble

I love FriendlysRestaurant . It makes everything very easy. Except one thing; there’s no space for special requests in the ordering process. It’s not like I’m asking for anything outlandish; I just want the build your own sundae for my kid to be built already. But there’s no place to put that and so I have to call the restaurant after putting in the order.

Otherwise, I order regularly. Much more than I would if I didn’t have an app.

Terrible terrible service! Late, hungry and out $30!

FriendlysRestaurant seems to work great. The Friendly’s Restaurant in Williston Vermont does not! I placed a take out order for stir fry and a quesadilla. The order seemed like it would be fairly fast and simple. After standing in a nearly empty restaurant for 45 minutes, I requested cancellation/refund. The manager on duty said they were not able to refund right away because the order was placed online so the general manager would need to process the refund the next day. I left late for an appointment, without any food and out $30. I don’t think service gets any worse than that. Still no refund 5 days later, and the nobody answers the phone when attempting to call the general manager.

Bad service, insufficient food in the order, bad taste

I ordered one veggie burger with fries side and two KitKat friend-Z for order, for first time app user they offered free medium sundae for the new guest.
I ordered online and showed to take out on 7:30 but I went there at 7:30 I had to wait for over 30 min extra and I asked after 30 min waiting , do you know when my order will be ready. They said I don’t know anything about your order. So disgusting. They gave me my food finally and it was just two bun, patty and tomato with hardly 10 fries. OMG leads than half cup for friend-Z’s . I don’t know how to upload pics here otherwise I took the pics , I want to upload here so everyone can see , what and how they treat people.

App is the way to go

Glad to see Friendly’s is super busy durning the Covid pandemic, but waiting is the worst. After talking to people walking up to the pick-up window and taking their order immediately, I asked how they were able to do this. FriendlysRestaurant over phoning in your order is the way to go - you pay for it ahead of pick-up - it saves past orders - so easy and quick - especially when the lines are so long!

Needs some detailing

While FriendlysRestaurant is easy to use, it doesn’t have any options to customize. For instance I like malt vinegar with my fish and chips; they have it but there is no option on FriendlysRestaurant . Other things I order on a regular basis are extra dips, strawberry lemonade for my kids which wasn’t a choice in the kids menu and double sides on the build your own sundae. (My child only likes m&ms but she likes to build it herself. If FriendlysRestaurant at least had a notes section you could type in your own changes but alas it does not. Remember Friendly’s is mostly a kids place and kids never like things the “normal” way. Updates are needed for FriendlysRestaurant.

Terrible!

FriendlysRestaurant created such a screw up that I have to go into the restaurant tomorrow to try to fix it. FriendlysRestaurant doesn’t give anyway to correct, cancel, or amend an order. The restaurant said they can’t fix it, it has to go through FriendlysRestaurant . FriendlysRestaurant has a phone number to call that goes to some woman’s voice mail, one particular person. If she’s not in, your stuck. Plus FriendlysRestaurant itself choked and restarted 3 times trying to put in one simple order. Hopeless! The point of ordering delivery was that I wanted to avoid a restaurant during a pandemic- now that’s the only way to get my money back. I wish I could give it negative stars :(

Terrible! Never again!

1. Burger was cold, French fries were cold, mozzarella sticks were not even cooked, soup looked like it was a week old and only filled a cup half way.
2. The sodas were filled to the top with ice 3 sips and nothing left.
3. No spoons for soup or ice cream, girl explained to me that you have to ask for one! Really!

This is why Friendly’s are all going out of business. The people that work here don’t even care. How they could serve our food this way is a disgrace!!! My 10 year old daughter loves Friendly’s so we did a father daughter date. Total disappointment. We picked up our order 7 minutes early so it wasn’t because our food sat.

Great food and service!

This was my first time coming here and it was an amazing experience! The food was great and my kids loved it there. They have a variety of different ice cream options and food choices so there’s plenty to choose from. Not to mention, their service was amazing! The servers were very kind and patient when we were ordering our food.

No option to opt out of having bread

I have a gluten sensitivity and there’s no option on FriendlysRestaurant to opt out of having bread with my order. There’s an option to choose “I have an allergy”, but the stores never call to find out what that allergy is. So you have to call them to tell them. It would be nice to have a notes section to put no bun/roll/bread when ordering. It would make things soooo much easier for everyone. Other than this issue, everything seems to be ok.

More about the Service than the App

I placed a fairly large family order $80+ on FriendlysRestaurant . To the best of my knowledge, FriendlysRestaurant was easy to navigate, select & modify orders and pay....

Door Dash app was down (??) so we settled on ordering from Friendly's app for pick up. Ordered placed at 6.46p... Stated pickup time was 7.05p... I arrived at 7.11p... order was given to me at 7.20p...

I noticed a chicken tender order was made incorrectly per FriendlysRestaurant and receipt and asked to have it remade. No apology given for the mistake. While waiting, I noticed FIVE orders of broccoli were missing and brought to the employee's attention. Again, not an app issue. Again, no apology, no acknowledgment of wrong doing.

And then noticed a drink was missing from a kid's meal, which I had to show the employee because they insisted no drink was ordered.

I finally received my complete order and left at 7.46p...

I expect more from the few remaining stores still operating...

Lantana Friendly’s

While there was an app delivery order snafu, the staff were very professional and apologetic. Even with the almost 2 hour delay, their response and willingness to rectify an issue that was out of their control was so satisfactory that we weren’t bothered with picking up our food. We neglected to leave a tip reflective of our appreciation so I hope this review makes up for that.

Thanks for updating it was a bit annoying with no rewards what so ever but if you keep the rewards changing and checking in for it I’ll keep it if not I’m deleting also it keeps crashing and I have to restart my phone or reset it to get FriendlysRestaurant to work so annoying

Notes section needed

Overall, FriendlysRestaurant is easy to use, but I agree with others’ comments about wishing there was functionality to remove toppings from sundaes and I would love a Notes section. I prefer my ice cream toppings on the side rather than added all at once but there’s no place to request that.

Overall Experience

Because I don't drive I had to take an Uber because they don't offer breakfast on UberEats or Door Dash which I'm hoping they will change soon but I ordered on FriendlysRestaurant and they don't offer many options like they do when you call. Also, when I get up there I had to wait despite getting there about 5 minutes after they said to arrive. They forgot an item and the food wasn't all that hot but the friendz was good

What I see isn’t what the restaurant sees

I ordered burgers with special toppings. The restaurant showed me the receipt and nothing was on there. I paid about 4 dollars for extras and they hadn’t given me any of that. Also I ordered a large Sunday and that wasn’t even on the receipt, but was on the order on my phone. They did show me the order before I left, thank God and happily fixed it. But basically, I had to wait an extra 15 minutes for them to completely remake my entire order.
I liked the Friendly’s but not FriendlysRestaurant . Will be calling or ordering in person from now on.

More options

I think FriendlysRestaurant is great and I’m really glad that they have advance so far. The downside is that I can’t take off the toppings of the Sundaes there’s no way to take them off so I had to choose something which I am going to take off now while I’m eating it. They don’t have the option to add extra fries to my order and there’s no option to add it from the starters list either. I wrote yes I have an allergy but there’s nowhere to write with the allergy is before they cook the food they asked me when I got to the restaurant, but the food was already made and what if they cross contaminated it they would have to throw it out and make it all over again. Those of the only downside to have other than that the food is great and I was very happy.

Almost a good app

I’m glad they developed an app for ordering. It was easy to navigate and place an order. The issue is that when you add or remove toppings they don’t show on the order so the order is incorrect when you pick it up. Updates need to be made so those selections transfer properly.

Terrible company and zero responsibility for their mistakes

I have used DoorDash on four separate occasions, three of them resulted in a phone call from door dash, cancelling the order 20 minutes after it was placed and expected to be receiving it any minute. Each time I am given a different excuse, whether it is friendly’s fault or they did not have a driver, or the store is closed when I know it was not because I went there afterwards and picked up the order myself. They are unreliable and take zero responsibility for their errors. I will not be using again.

Poor service

First thing first, my issue with FriendlysRestaurant is you can’t ask for anything extra or on the side. There needs to be a section for comments. My other issue is with Friendly’s themselves. Every single time I order from them they mess up my order. My food is always freezing cold by time I get it and sometimes I don’t get all of my order. It is not hard to make sure you have everything for an order let alone the correct items for that order. I will not be ordering from them ever again.

Menu options

I was so excited to see that there was an offer for 50% off your first app order....until I downloaded FriendlysRestaurant ...to see that the offer given was for 25% off (love25off). But was still going to order until I found that all of the menu options weren’t available. None of the salads were listed under soups/salads. The restaurant wasn’t willing to honor the coupon by ordering in person. No one knew anything about FriendlysRestaurant . I walked out after 20 min of disappointment. Never again.

Needs Improvement

Does not give as many customizable options as it should. Especially with ice cream sundaes.
Take a note from the Panera app and have it all laid out where you can add and subtract as much or as littler as you'd like. But Friendlys is definitely moving in the right direction !

App doesn’t add coupons

The email said the discount would automatically would be added at check out and of course I didn’t check before I hit send and the discount wasn’t taken off of the bill🤦‍♀️

Very pretty but impractical

App was just remodeled to look very nice but it’s just as basic and standardized as it was before. You can’t customize anything beyond removing what comes standard; I.e can’t add extra cheese, can’t add chicken to something that doesn’t normally have chicken, etc. Should leave a fillable text box and upcharge any request.

Order all wrong!

I ordered 2 sundaes and they were all wrong- wrong ice creams with the wrong toppings. We were very disappointed. Not sure if I’ll do online ordering anymore. At least when i go to the store i can see them making it.

Used the app and never got my food

I used FriendlysRestaurant to usually pick up my food but when I went there they took forever and never gave me my food. I cancelled the order but never received my refund for it.
