I waited a long time to rate in hopes that Torrid would get better but I guess I better not hold my breath!!! My biggest issue with Torrid is the “manage your credit card” section, page won’t remember my login info, when I manually input my info and try to log in, I can’t, I get an unsecure connection message. Thought maybe it was my phone but spent about an hour with apple trying to figure it out they finally stated it wasn’t my phone, which I have to agree this is the only app that gives me this message. But back to my complaint, so I can’t use Torrid to check my account have to use the internet. App rewards info doesn’t match online account, VIP member but i order through Torrid I have to pay shipping, called customer service they told me I had to go online. When looking at clothes it would be nice to look at an item go back and pick up where I left off but no, you go back and it takes you all the way to the top and I then you have to scroll until you find the last item you looked at and hope you didn’t pass it. Torrid almost feels useless, if I have to go online anyways, what’s the point in having it taking up space on my phone? 🤷🏻‍♀️👎🏼

Change it back. Love the store, hate the new app

I used Torrid back in November or December of last year, and maybe at the beginning of 2020. I got on today to look around and Torrid is new (okay whatever apps change). The new app is TERRIBLE. You have a very limited path to find what you are looking for, and that makes it so much harder especially if you are browsing. It took me several minutes to realize there probably isn’t a way to look at a list of favorites, as I assumed clicking on the heart on an item would save it to a list of favorites. Nothing is clear, I had to tap on all options trying to guess where I could see my rewards, and Torrid seemed to malfunction in regards to me being signed in. First it said I was, then said I wasn’t and prompted me to log in, then after logging in successfully it prompted me again to log in... Love the store, hate this version of Torrid . Confusing, limited, missing options and features

Torrid App -Slow/Disappointing

Please fix Torrid there are a lot of issues all over Torrid .

1) Combine all the colors of the same product, I bought a dress and I wish I knew it had a different color! You already have the circles with showing the patter/color now take them and put them together showing the option there is more than one color!

2) When you put things in your chart, and then remove them, give us a option to save for later, it does not even go back to favorites list. You have find it again and save the item again. Give us options to buy what we need now and then go back to those items.

3) Loading times for shopping cart/wishlist, are super long, and watching the load takes forever!

4) In the store computers takes for ever to place on line orders, or even purchasing items in store takes a long time if the system is having a moment- you scan one item, and then have to wait for it to finish loading the information, before scanning the next item.

5) Call Center: should be able to change the order if a mistake was made on a size as it was ordered in the store, or even if the store could edit the size of the same project

You have great products but please get the systems under-control!

I think the app could be organized better

There’s no unifying organization to Torrid. No account page (that I can find... which means if it exists, it’s too hidden). I want to be able to view my points easier - I can never find them. I also can never locate my orders without just going to my email and clicking a link and going into safari. I also want better recommendations from the clothes I am currently viewing - they’re usually something totally different and not what I would like at all. I also want a “loves” page where the pieces I liked go, and a way to request an update if an item I like comes back in stock in my size. I want to be able to view the outfit on several different models, which I think I recall was possible at one point on safari, at least. I think you could also break the categories up more. Basic tops don’t need to be with fancy tops. Also, I am not allowed to wear ripped jeans to work - would like to be able to look up polished casual clothes that aren’t quite business, without scrolling endlessly.

I love Torrid but app needs work

I love this app. The are one of the rare companies that make cute and fashionable clothing for plus size women.

I got their app and hoped it would make my shopping even easier. Unfortunately that hasn’t been the case. Things that don’t work with Torrid but are fine when you use your browser:

Shopping: When you put items your cart in Torrid does not translate to the online store. If you end up buying through your browser, the clothing still appears in your shopping cart on Torrid .

Payment: If you choose to pay with PayPal, which is my preference, Torrid stops or goes so slow PayPal times me out.

Interface: Changing quantity, size, color, etc. causes Torrid to slow significantly and at times doesn’t show the change.

Checkout: The entire checkout process is very cumbersome. Slow loading, very hard to change addresses (even if it is registered as one of your addresses), and the payment part is a mess.

Receipts: I have gotten through the entire process and it doesn’t send me a confirmation email. I call this app they can’t find the order even though I have a charge on my card. Had to spend over an hour with customer service to locate my order. To this day that order has never shown up as a previous order.

I am a big proponent of this app but Torrid needs major work to be a viable option.

Fix Torrid Cash Redemption

I don’t have a lot of issues with Torrid. The one problem I’ve found, and it’s a big one for me, is when it’s time to redeem my this app cash Torrid just doesn’t work. This has happened every time I’ve tried to do it and I usually have at least $300 in this app cash, which tells you how much I spend there. The only way I’ve been able to spend it is by going into the store and having the cashiers manually enter my order into their computer. For a clothes horse like me, the last thing I should be doing is going into the store when I’ve already spent $200-$300 on my online purchase. I know, I should learn to control myself but that’s why I have Torrid . The super helpful ladies at the store also said this happens a lot. Please fix this so I can continue to buy from this app.

Hard to use

I’ve ordered an obscene amount of clothes from this app in the last six months or so (thanks, medicine-induced weight flux), so I finally broke down and downloaded Torrid . Three stars because it is technically functional, so I didn’t feel right giving less... but it’s so hard to find anything. Why can’t the menu mimic the website? I can’t manage to just find “dresses”, for example, without seventy-five clicks. The menu is useless... I don’t need a separate top level option for the credit card, I need to be able to shop for clothes!

Last straw was tonight when I discovered that opening Torrid makes my music stop. Why?! What on earth does it need sound for? Finally had enough and deleted it... it’s not worth being able to check order status ten seconds faster given that everything else is much more difficult to navigate. Crazy that an app expressly for shopping is so ineffective at allowing the consumer to shop!

Torrid always seems to have an issue. I can be browsing and it will sit and spin or take me back to the top of the page.
And the customer service is not good. Shipping takes FOREVER!! I shopped to the store and they can’t tell me when it’s going to arrive! It’s been almost two weeks and I have no clue when it will get here. Even shopping to home is a long wait. Why is it other online retailers can get your items to you quickly or within a few days but this app just can’t get their act together??
Also, some of the clothing quality is not good. So many t shirts I’ve purchased have piling on them in no time. I wash everything on gentle cycle and hang to dry. A $35 shirt should not look like it came from Walmart. Honestly some of my walmart shirts last longer and have better quality! Two pair of panties ripped at the seam the first time I wore them. I’m really loving the clothing designs but not happy with the quality and shipping times.

Yes!!! An app!!!

Hooray! Finally an official this app app!! It's super user friendly from what I can tell and pretty fast. I like the transition of the screen when you click the menu. Like others have said I tried adding something from my wish list that I knew was out of stock and it just removed it from my list. It would be nice if Torrid was a bit more like the website and didn't allow you to "add to bag" sold out items. I like keeping things on my list just in case they're restocked. Also, it would be awesome if I could manage my this app credit card from Torrid (make payments, check balance, etc.). Otherwise it looks pretty amazing! Looks like there'll be more work for my this app card in the very near future! Thank you this app!!!

I’m a this app frequent flyer who just used Torrid for the first time. MUCH easier than navigating the website from my phone!

The only thing I found to be a little confusing was checkout. I couldn’t figure out where to add my credit card info. There is a blank field beneath “Gift Card” to enter a number of you’re using one, but nothing under “Payment” to Enter a credit card. (I was logged into my account... not sure if that makes a difference.) I finally tried tapping on the the word Payment and got a pop up where I was able to select my saved CC or enter a new one... Smooth sailing from there.

If you’re a plus size woman and haven’t yet shopped this app, be sure to check them out. I have a closet full of their clothes that look like they were tailored to fit me! For the most part, clothes are true to size, so once you know your size, you can easily shop online. If something doesn’t work, the return process is very easy. (However, note that you get your money back immediately if you return to a store, but it takes about 3-4 weeks if you return using their enclosed, pre-paid shipping labels.)

Lately I’ve had trouble getting items that are initially charged to my card for a purchase. Several things I have had not show up with an order, and some of which I WAITED and checked daily to order… but somehow weren’t “in stock” problem for me is that this is something happening the last few months for years before that I have never had a problem and not only that the shipping has taken up to a month! I’m sad. this app is my favorite place and I spend thousands of dollars a year there. Also my app used to open from the browser or my email and doesn’t any more not a big deal but I kinda liked that feature while it worked. this app, keep making amazing clothing that are high quality for chubby women. You will forever have my business, just less so online. It’s become a hassle and Inconvenient.

Very disappointing

Die hard this app fan girl here. Shopped here for years and years, spent god knows how much. Believe me when I say Torrid is the most frustrating thing ever. If you are the type of person who clicks on the pictures to see them full screen Torrid isn’t for you. It refuses to load them and it white screens and there is no back button or anything to get out of the loading screen so you have to close he entire app and do your search all over again. Even when I tell myself not to click on the pictures I sometimes hit it while I’m scrolling and have to close Torrid again. Smh. Also, in the orders tab, if you wanted to look up one of the things you bought, it’s just a list with words. No link to the listing, no picture to indicate which black tee you bought just will say the price and numbers and what not. Dumb that it wouldn’t link to the item listing like every other site. Also, this isn’t a requirement but it would be nice if you could filter down to the exact styles like you can on the this app website, for example they let you filter down to 3/4 sleeve or sleeveless or whatever you want. Gave 2 stars because I like this app but it’s just really frustrating when you have to start your search all over when you click on a picture.

There was an issue with an exchange and Celine almost completely fixed it. However we were disconnected and I got ahold of Brooke; However it started off ugly where I was almost charged full price for an exchange for the same jean different size. I had to explain the policy as I originally did not pay full price for the jeans the sz was too small and I was exchanging it for a bigger sz. It stares we can do the esxchange via phone and pay just the shipping. It didn’t happen at first and to fix it I was almost accused of lying. I invested too much in a this app to give up and I worked in CS for almost 30 years and I have a Masters in business that allows me to train this type of service. So when I had to give a solution and be told I was wrong Tortid almost lost a loyalist VIP customer. Brooke was able to spk to someone and fix the issue.
Thank you Brooke for believing me and seeing my order. And Celine for trying. this app give your representatives empowerment so they can do their jobs better and not leave orders open ended for confusion. Change policies and go by your word. Thank you

Love Hate Relationship

I’ve been shopping at this app for over 7 years now. I know that I can usually rely on them for finding an outfit that fits me way better than other stores. With that being said, the prices can be super ridiculous some times! Like for the most basic of dusters or cardigans, you can easily pay over $60. All so you could cover your arms when you’re feeling self conscious, or for cold offices during the summer…it’s pretty ridic.

Some of the clothing can be hit or miss sometimes, and their definitely is way too much floral print for my taste! I love all the fan girl stuff, but it is also pretty pricey.

I recommend waiting for the sales to buy bras or shoes, unless you have the extra scratch to spend, which you will.

Here’s a hint, pay attention to reviews and any mentions of specific sizing for an item you’re interested in! Personal reviews have helped me with sizing issues before I take the plunge.

Love it or hate it, this app is pretty reliable as your emergency stop for a last minute needed dress or cute outfit. Prices can be a little better, but beggars can’t be choosers.

Last week we went to the Rochester store to look for an outfit for an interview. I’ve never heard of the store before seen anything about it. I’m very much a plus size woman and it’s very discouraging when you can’t find clothes that are decent looking and the right fit. We went in and the ladies were so friendly and everybody was so helpful. It made my sister and I‘s shopping experience so fun and you guys have just won two new customers. Hopefully this review gets to the right people so that those ladies can get the credit that is due to them. They were amazing

App functional, could be better

So I love shopping and app is functional with the basic needs. But I would like the ability to actually see prior orders in app in detail. If I click on it I cannot see full description or full name of item. I shop for my girlfriend on here so not being able to shop based on prior orders myself or being able to be taken to the item itself in prior purchase is a little disappointing. I like surprising her. Or if you save undergarment sizes on profile so when shopping it can give you option of “is this for you or gift for someone else, it would be easier. But like I said I like shopping and I enjoy convienience, other that that great job!

Being plus size I have always struggled to find clothes that not only look good, but FIT!!! Shopping in regular department stores has always made me feel limited in options. I’ve always felt like I had to settle when buying clothes because, well it’s the only one that’s fit so what else could I do? Shopping at this app has changed my life! I can walk in and know that I don’t have to stress over whether or not something is going to fit. I love that most of the customer representatives at my local Torrids are relatable and do not make me feel intimidated. I feel like this app genuinely strives to provide their customers with a vast collection from which to choose from, and doesn’t limit us to ugly spandex prints. Thank you for having us in mind!

Not only do I now have A place to get nice stylish clothes that make me feel human and pretty, It is the only place that don’t makes plus clothes look that look like you either had squeeze into a outfit or wear something so big that you look hideous and frumpy.
It also is a place that not only welcomes you as you walk in the door but will be with you each step of the way if needed. They help find the best size for you. I walked into Store Crying because I hated shopping for myself, nothing ever fit right to walking out with a big smile and actual clothes I couldn’t wait to wear. They even took off the tags of a outfit so I could pay for it but wear it out the door too!
I won’t lie they are expensive but sometimes there are things worth paying that extra money on. This is that time. I and my closet thank you! :)

I’ve been waiting years for this. It’s easy to use, no need to log in to my account every single time I want to shop or check my rewards points balance. My only qualms with it are pretty big...in Torrid , my wishlist shows 0 items, but when I log in on a browser I have over 50 wishlist items. Also, Torrid doesn’t always update or recognize 40%, 30%, etc coupons; the price of an item in Torrid is not the same as the price in a browser. I have to switch between the two to make sure I’m getting the better price. Also I have used coupon codes in the checkout window of Torrid that will not go away no matter how many times I hit “remove” so I’m not able to checkout using Torrid , because it’s constantly reminding me I need to remove the expired coupon codes. I’ve just been sticking to a browser window.

Love this app and the this app style - this store has changed so much for the better over the last decade. And Torrid is very nice. The look and feel, user experience are all top notch. I love too that I can manage my credit account within Torrid - most stores don’t have that app integration with their credit card and it makes it much more of a hassle. Torrid is generally easy to use and reliable. Only issue I’ve ever had is with favoriting items, sometimes the little ♥️ button won’t stay clicked or something, and I have to keep pressing it to make it register my favorite. And sometimes it won’t register it no matter how many times I click it. A bit irritating but I just end up adding those items to my cart and then save them for later on my desktop computer when I log in there. Would make it pretty perfect to fix that bug, but overall an awesome app for an awesome store.

I love your clothing and the accuracy in descriptions, measurements, and fit really makes online shopping low risk. I was hoping Torrid would help as i could take a few miniutes at a time to put together a purchase around a hectic life as a working mom and cant always get to a computer with internet access. Torrid on iphone has a few things that are more than frustrating and waste a lot of time and sadly has now reached the point that the convenience isnt worth it, which translates to fewer purchases.

1- BIG ONE! shopping cart randomly empties itself, just now was in the cart reviewing what i planned to purchase and it went to no items in cart.
2- the prices dont always show the total with all discounts applied.
3-search engine needs improvement, shape it more like website. I dont want to look at 100s of panties to find good clearance deals in other things.
4-unavailable products show up when filtering by size.
5- swiping to look closer sometimes crashes Torrid
6-have a save for later feature in the shopping cart.
7- selecting an item in the occassionally cart crashes Torrid . And then empties the cart.

Your store is great- please put more resources into making your app great too.

I love this app!!!! But the last three times I’ve ordered something. Something had gone wrong. Once my item got returned to sender and then the next time i went into the store to order it bc I was already there and they women went and looked up the item and said they didn’t have my size but I got on my phone and looked it up and it was available in my size and then the last time I ordered something I got it in the mail I thought but once I opened the package it was someone else’s order and she lives in California and I live in Florida. So I called customer service and they was gonna help me and that’s fine but when I went to reorder the dress they didn’t have in a size I could wear. So now I’m out of a dress I really wanted. But I had if the people at the warehouse could get things right. I got a refund for my purchase and I’m grateful for that but I wanted that dress!!!!!

They never processed my order. The system cancelled it

I placed my order using the online app and after almost a week I never received shipping confirmation. I called to check on my order a week later and my order was cancelled?! No reason as to why!!!
After I placed my order AGAIN via phone which took over an hour, they wanted to charge me extra because some of my items were out of stock now and I couldn’t use my hautecash. They updated the billing and the order was placed or so I thought!
A week later I called to check on my order which was in processing status! No one could give me a reason as to why after waiting over the phone for an hour my order wasn’t processed! They blamed it on bank verification which is absurd because I verified and allowed the payment to be processed the second time I placed the order.
I finally asked them to cancel the order. The customer service was awful and the “supervisor” Douglass was as terrible at his job as Torrids customer service.
I will NEVER purchase from here again and will be sure to tell everyone about the awful experiences I’ve had.
AND, I have been a platinum reward member for a long time. NOT ONCE did I expect this from this app. Now I see what everyone’s talking about.

I love shopping at this app Stores, but recently I’ve placed 2 orders online and both times have received a order number and I think my order has gone thru only to call and find out my order never went thru. The first time it happened the rep was super helpful and resolved the issue within 5-10 mins. The second time it happened the rep was rude and unwilling to help and then came back and said she was able to do it (but only when she realized I was going to complain and speak to supervisor)! I was on hold for over an hour to speak with a supervisor and she made it seem as tho she was going to make sure I received my order, she offered Free 2 days shipping and to issue me a $10 reward towards a feature purchase and here I am a week later with none of thee above!! Super frustrating!!!

I like the simplicity of Torrid and if I sit down and order everything in the same sitting then I am good. My biggest issue comes when I lock my phone, come back 20 minutes later and my cart is empty. I can’t just sit for an hour straight to go through every item of clothing. I don’t log out, I don’t close Torrid , I literally just lock my phone. This has been an issue since I downloaded Torrid and I’m sad it hasn’t been fixed.

My easier to deal with issues: same items showing repeatedly when I scroll, weird loading issues and a search feature that isn’t wonderful.

As of today I am officially done with Torrid , deleting it off my phone and will stick to ordering on the computer or going in to the store.

I just want to start off my review by saying that I have never had a negative experience with Torrid. I’ve read a lot of the other customers reviews and I haven’t had any of the issues that they mentioned. Torrid is so easy and convenient to use. I’ve placed well over 10 orders on the mobile app and every time I’ve gotten a confirmation email with a tracking number. It’s always signed into my account, and it’s never removed things from my cart even after I’ve been off Torrid for a few days. I love the conveniency of it and will definitely continue to use it!

The only problem I have with the app is that it wont let me save items to my wishlist. It just wont. Theres so much I want to save but cant. Whenever I click on the heart, it basically undoes it in front of me.
