myVCA is worse than useless.
When i called the vet hospital to check in for my appointment (as instructed by the sign outside the office), i was told to use myVCA to check in. Why not let me check in on the phone, since I’m here and we’re talking ON THE PHONE?
Then i spent 15 minutes trying to check in using myVCA , and failing to get the chat button to work. The best i can guess is my appointment was never added to my account? I don’t know. I called in several more times, and they finally checked me in “manually” and we got on with the appointment.
Ordinarily this wouldn’t be terrible, but a car in the sun in Texas summer, with two screaming cats, trying to use a non working app and just wanting a PHONE CALL, was freaking aggravating.
We finally just had the “appointment” over the phone, which is what i tried in the first place.
myVCA failed in the worst way. It took the place of a working service and made the whole visit terrible. myVCA shows my pets and their records, but was utterly useless for the appointment.
The vet apologized and said it was their very first day using myVCA , and they are still working out the kinks.
*** If this had been my first time at this vet, i would have changed vets and never returned to this office. ***
