PhonePe: Secure Payments App Reviews

I have a dual sim iPhone with an international physical SIM card and Indian esim. This combination of sims in iPhone XR does not allow me to verify bank to add upi. It picks up correct number when I start adding a new bank account but after that when I click on continue to proceed and verify the phone number by sending SMS, it throws an exception that I am using an international Sim card or Turbo SIM card. which means that it is falling back to physical SIM card.

I could pay (1) Airtel Recharge (2) Jio Recharge And (3) Pharmacy Bill

But not -all the bills I desired to pay. Like (1)Credit Card bills(2) ElectricityBills (3) Mahanagar Gas Bill or any payments to Third Party for the services/value received.

Hence not advisable to block more funds in this app wallet also because this app does not pay any interest like Banks on saving bank accounts.

I am fan of this app from the day they launched it. Easy, convenient and smooth user interface makes it my go to app for almost all UPI transactions I make. Electric bills and other utility bills payment is a bonus.I hope it stays this way.

I loved the ease with which one could use PhonePe. The only problem I see with all such apps in India including this often have utility services of a few cities or states. Many do not have utility services state wise especially from the south and northeast. The southern states incidentally have more 4G penetration than many states in the north. If PhonePe can cover all the states, PhonePe can easily beat other apps. Wishing the very best!

Don’t put too much money in the this app wallet. It will be stuck there. You pay from wallet only bills like water, phone etc. I couldn’t even pay my Electricity bill using funds in the this app wallet. It won’t even show in the “Debit from” list. Help line says “that’s it. That’s how this app works.

Got an esim while visiting India and PhonePe doesn't allow me to verify my mobile number even though it's linked to my Indian Bank accounts since it's an eSim. Very inconvenient!

No scratch card offer was given after first electricity bill payment. This is inspite of the offer being displayed on PhonePe as well as the electricity bill. The customer service is very poor as no response to ticket raised. If you call them they mention the offer is not valid if payment done through this app since it’s an “external payment”!! If it’s external then why is this app storing my transaction details?? Privacy issue for app. Be careful.

Transaction is showing completed since last 4-5 days but still not credited to my account. Not supporting on call if you are not calling from your registered number.. why? Even after contacting to this app 4-5 times they are telling same thing, created to receivers account. Not even checking what is issue is. This issue is not only with me, its with many users. I request everyone not to use this. Use TEZ .. its google app and far better than this.

When I can handle all the bill payments from my bank account and through other UPI apps, what is that left to use PhonePe. Initially atleast they used to give rewards and now the rewards are useless. If you say that I can use my credit card for payments, you are charging 2% as usual..... so why should I use PhonePe ??

Really it is easy to add bank accounts and transfer to any other bank accounts. Easy to transact to family and friends bank accounts.

Looks like some trainee developed PhonePe UI. I have downloaded app and added card. Now how to add money using this card? There is no easy way to find wallet and add money using credit card. It keeps asking for debit card or bank account. Then why did you ask to add credit card at first place.

Within one minutes I transferred money from one bank to another bank. Formerly I was afraid of sending money from one bank to another bank but now its easier

They do NOT give any support when you need it. Look for other reputable payment Apps like google pay or PayPal. this app company do not have any support team nor they understand problems with transactions. This is total garbage company and DO Not subscribe to PhonePe. If you already have account delete it like I did. Totally useless company deserves to close their doors.

Your rewards like play rummy or any games is absolutely any of your rewards like play rummy are uselessness & we may not like to do pp paymentsuseless.
May not use phone pay if such rewards continue as I don’t use at all

GUI interface not asking whether you deduct from balance

Just installed. Linked to my bank account. Working perfectly. Test transferred. Found fast and easy . More input in a week .

Today is my first day with this app App. It’s really amazing and easy to use. I hope I will enjoy PhonePe in the future transitions.

I have received hundreds of rewards from this app and I’m using these this app since from a long time & still I didn’t receive a any worthy reward, the rewards which I received from this app is waste ….Anyways this app WALE make some changes if it is possible

With the new update, we are not able to proceed with the normal transaction setup. Somehow we don’t get to checkout/send/transfer money to a designated account.

Fortunately, we were able to do money transfer by changing the transaction workflow by clicking on help at the transfer screen menu and then clicking back option. The send button appeared once we did the above procedure. Can anyone please fix this issue.

This is the best payments app in India and gives you good cash back. I really appreciate the UI team, great job developers. It is most intuitive and clean UI for payments.

I pay my electricity bill it take two days to clear please fix these kinds of problems
