App freezes and reboots everytime

I have enjoyed your product since I received it 2 weeks ago, and I have cooked 5 times using it. However, everytime, the BBQ GO (V 1.7.9) application is failing on my iPhone. (I have iPhoneX, iOS 12.1.2) It works for a few hours, but when I move between apps on my phone, the BBQ GO app freezes-up and reboots. Then all my previous temp data is erased! This is a problem for me since when cooking a beef brisket, I am making decisions about the temperature performance over-time to decide when in “the stall” and when to wrap my brisket for finishing. I like the convenience of this product, but if you depend on the app for performing the products key functions, then the app needs to be more stable to deserve any better rating than 1-star. Other comments: POSITIVES: Battery life was great. Started at 76% charge and finished at 50% after a 12hr cook! I like the red digital LED display. Easy to read. NEGATIVES Alarm needs to change. We need the following changes: 1. Should be able to mute the alarm on the main unit. (I can set my phone to vibrate, but the alarm outside still sounds—- not good for a 5am cook and waking up my neighbors and family!) 2. We should be able to choose a pleasant iPhone alarm sound, instead we are forced to only hear your loud beeping -it sounds like a smoke detector! (And I can’t choose any other options on my phone besides vibrate. )

Great device but app needs work

I've used this for a handful of cooks and over all it works great but the app has issues. There is no option to alter temp alarms with out clearing all the temp data. The app will also randomly wipe the temp data clean if it glitches which is a couple times over the course of an 8 hour cook. The unit should just record data nonstop and let the user clear as they please. Also, an alarm will keep alarming even after the acknowledge. This is a problem if you set an alarm to know when a mid point temp is reached because you have to deactivate the alarm and clear your temp history or keep acknowledging the alarm until you are done. Again, a poorly thought out app with limited use.

It’s better than what I had.

The good:The temperature monitoring is perfect. I can use my phone or the transmitter to see real time temp data. The Bad: the graphing appears to randomly select the range, high and low temp, for the graph and it appears to select the time frame at random, sometimes 45 min other times and hour but not 12 hours. After reading some of the other reviews it sounds like if you modify a set point or alarm range the trend restarts. Or if you loose connection the trend restarts. I would prefer that the trending started when the device is turned on and stops when the device is turned off. Have the ability in the app to review the data or possibly export a CSV file? Every time the transmitter is turned on it starts a new trend data entry. I would understand gaps in data when your device was out of range because I assume there is limited on board memory for the transmitter. It would also be nice to be able to overlay the trend data, overlay the 4 or 6 channels on one trend. To sum it up, it is better than what I had but could use a few tweaks to make it awesome.
