I was so excited to see a mobile ordering function had been added to ScootersCoffee . I would drink Scooters every day instead of Starbucks if I could order ahead and run in and pick up my drink. Unfortunately, this new feature is useless. First of all, it doesn’t tell you until after you have placed an order, but they don’t make your drink and have it ready for you to run in and pick up. They instruct you to go to the drive thru, give them your name, and then they will make your drink. How is this different or more efficient than just ordering in drive thru? They claim it is so your drink is “fresh” but if I cared about whether or not my drink sat for 10 min I wouldn’t order ahead. The point of this feature is convenience and this adds zero convenience to the customer experience.

On top of that, they still messed up my drinks when I literally entered in exactly what I wanted. I work in product marketing and I am just dumbfounded at the poor UX of this rollout. How much user testing did they do before they launched this? Scooters—if you want to be competitive with the bigger companies like Starbucks and Dunkin then fix the digital and operational issues or you’re going to get left behind. Your drinks are better but the convenience and access is just as, if not more, critical to get right.

Hey Scooter’s Coffee! I have no idea if you’ll ever see this, but I thought I’d give it a shot. I’m a 23 yo city gal who just jumped on the coffee-bandwagon and am looking for my loyal “spot” to frequent for a quick pick-me-up before or after work shifts. I’ve tried only a couple drinks from SC, but I’m in love. They’re so creamy and yummy! However, based on most of these reviews I’m really turned away from frequenting your shops due to the lack of a user friendly app. Right now I’ve been sticking with Dunkin’ because their app allows me to order ahead (I have pretty severe social anxiety, the pandemic hasn’t helped) which is essential for me when scouting out a new favorite spot. Anyways, thanks for reading this. I hope your team is reading the critiques and working on resolving them for the future. Easily accessible and reliable websites/apps are essential for any modern day business to stay relevant and successful as the years pass.

Rewards was toggled to “on” for the “free” small coffee on National Coffee Day. I got charged for it anyway. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with their app, either. As for the loyalty, they take “smiles” away, and way too quickly at that. So much for loyalty.

Oh, and who sets up an app that uses a switch with gray and red? Depending on how you look at it, either gray or red could be on or off. If you’re going to use red, then pair it with green, not gray. Or better yet, maybe add text that says which one is on and which is off, right at the location of the slider so people will see it. This must have happened many times with this Scooters app, with many different users. Really bad design.

ScootersCoffee seems pretty easy to use. Easy to navigate through things. It’s nice that they have the full menu on there but it seems pointless if you can’t use mobile ordering. With an app like this mobile ordering makes sense. I just don’t understand why that’s not something that’s offered within ScootersCoffee .
Giving it a for because while it is a well designed app the lack of mobile ordering is a huge draw for me.

I stop almost everyday at scooters and am at carmalicious status. Their needs to be more rewards and also the smiles rewards for free drink expire too quick. You take our smiles if we don’t use them on a drink and we start over. Unlike Starbucks that let’s you build your stars and if you want to use them you can but they do give you 1 year. You should take some of what Starbucks does that makes their customers happy and adapt it to fit scooters. Cuz you have some pretty loyal customers that are dissatisfied with some of the service’s. Be better scooters cuz I love you guy’s

I hate that I’m not able to give a custom tip when I order ahead of time on ScootersCoffee . and that it only allows up to a 20% tip. I mostly pay tips of anywhere between 50-75% because I appreciate the service I get. I don’t carry cash so my tips are always paid for on ScootersCoffee when I pay at the window. Whenever I preorder it only allows up to a 20% tip which only adds up to $2.73 on my order which I consider to be a slap in the face to the people who make my order. This needs to be fixed so we are able to make custom tips when ordering ahead of time!

ScootersCoffee is easy to use and convenient. We visit a scooters everyday and for having “caramelicious” status there are barely any rewards besides a free drink every couple of weeks. A happy hour would be great or something of that sort especially for the loyal customers who visit religiously. When there are rewards it should cater to what people purchase for instance 1$ off smoothies has popped up but we have never and would never order smoothies. I’m strictly giving 3 stars because the incentives.

I can’t seem to find a way to add a beverage to my cart to order ahead, but there’s nothing telling me that it’s restricted or location based...

I also spent time this morning trying to figure out how to use my preloaded funds and rewards. ScootersCoffee is a nice idea, but it needs some work or maybe just a little love from a UX writer to adjust the copy.

Toggle rewards...? What is that? If you don’t have rewards, still show the toggle but disable it from use—- add language that will educate me on how/when I can use that feature. But by hiding the toggle or not including better language, I’m left wondering where I need to toggle (on rewards screen or on payment screen?) and generally feeling frustrated about how to use ScootersCoffee .

The status screen is confusing. It should just go away and be replaced by the occasional reward in the rewards bucket. Drink names shouldn’t be statuses. Maybe silver or gold, etc?

I go to scooters almost every day. When I arrive my order is taken by very pleasant baristas. Since I started going to scooters I no longer get coffee from anywhere else!! I cannot live without coffee so scooters is my go to!!!
When I go to scooters on Mount Vernon Rd. in Cedar Rapids Iowa the customer service is the best I’ve ever seen in my entire life!!!

Once again I ordered the matcha smoothie. No changes just plain straight off the menu. I got the drink and there was over half an inch below the top of the cup to the smoothie, it was dark green, and super thick. How this does not tip the drink maker off that they left something out I can never understand. It needed more “base” /creamy stuff. It tastes super strong of matcha, not creamy as it should. Why can’t the baristas make a drink off the menu with no changes and get it right? And when you pay $6 for a drink you want it right and a full drink. They short me on the drink all the time.

Here for breakfast, enjoying a bacon ciabatta sandwich with a hazelnut latte. The teammates are welcoming & so nice for such an early morning! Would highly recommend this sandwich & of course…the coffee! Stop by to see Chad (owner/barista) and Sabrina (barista) who makes the best Lattes! And last, but not least: If you have a sweet dog in your life…be sure to get them a Scooters Pupachino!

This place is just amazing. The most professional and caring employees at these shops. They so full of energy and ready to put smiles on all the customers faces. Keep up the great work. I highly recommend this place. Great customer service! Phenomenal product. Give you a reason to come back.

ScootersCoffee is a good way to make Decisions better when or before You go to the Scooter. Location so that’s ScootersCoffee and I also am doing a Coffee Ministry at Home with no Pay just for fun. I like Almond, Skim and Oat-milk for my Dairy not just for ScootersCoffee that I’ve Been getting what I love and. Scooters makes. The Coffees I do at home so delicious and Keep it up

The Scooters at 84th st and Giles is the best. It’s 12:25….it doesn’t matter what time I go there they’re always very friendly and make my drinks perfect. Their manager is also the best… very professional. They all need a raise. Can u please fix all the pot holes around the building🙂

Only giving 4 stars because you cannot order everything on the menu when ordering ahead. You also can customize like adding a sweetener or cold foam. Please update ScootersCoffee so you can order EVERYTHING ahead and not just basic drinks! Otherwise, I like the coffee and the selection!!

I put this in my phone anticipating to use it like other apps. Unfortunately, it fails most of the time and won’t load on either my iPhone 8 or my wife’s iPhone 10. I had an extremely difficult time getting it to load enough times to spend down the $25 I put on it. I won’t put cash on the account again. This morning I tried to get ScootersCoffee up just to get my loyalty points. 5 attempts and it wouldn’t load. Absolutely worthless to me.

I made an account, when I logged out and back in it said my account was either disabled or wrong username/password. I literally just made the account. So I make another account since I wasn’t able to reset my password. I’m finally able to login. When I click on ANYTHING on the menu it says “we can’t find products matching the selection”.
It’s a waste of time. I wasn’t even able to set up my location or do anything. It’s not worth it.

I enjoy Scooters coffee and Lattes. The waffle breakfast sandwich is one of my favorites. Everything I’ve had I love and the black tea. So glad they came to Chattanooga and now they are about to open where I work in Collegedale, Tn. at McKee Foods Corporation so now I can go to Scooters in 2 minutes! 😀

I am so happy that Scooter’s chose Ardmore to bring a store to. I have enjoyed the drinks-blenders I have ordered so far.

I would like to suggest or ask if there is a way to somehow add an extra lane for those who put in mobile orders.

If I order on my way to work to save time, but still have to get in the long drive thru line and wait, it is not saving me time.

There may not be a way to fix this but I wanted to ask or suggest.

Can no longer add your gift card to ScootersCoffee . Would be so much more convenient (used to have that ability).

This new app is beyond disappointing. It has flaws and has given me a sour taste about continuing to go to Scooters. It is hard to use the gift cards you have paid for and loaded, if you use another reward you can’t use your already purchased gift cards. If you have a reward in the loyalty section, you can’t override to be able to use one and not the other if you try to also earn loyalty points. It is hard to manage and figure out. There are suppose to be two bar codes one to pay and one to just use loyalty, the loyalty one has charged my card when trying to use it. Just a very disappointing app. If I can get my gift card used that is already in ScootersCoffee it will be the last of my scooters endeavors.

I am a little disappointed that I could not give a zero star rating. ScootersCoffee is absolutely horrible. You cannot reload a gift card so you either have to keep buying gift cards to add or let it charge your card every time. Make sure you do not have any rewards available when you just want to scan for points and use someone else’s pay method because it will ding you first. Free drink? Good luck trying to figure that out. Took us two trips to get it working. Why Scooters even released ScootersCoffee is a surprise. The first app was not great but much better than this version.

I got a new phone and had to login to ScootersCoffee again. Same email and account. It recognized me but I saw my rewards are now gone! What’s the point. I also clicked on contact us and send email within ScootersCoffee and it wouldn’t allow me to click it. The above paragraph said something like issues are best resolved in person. Well my issue is ScootersCoffee please fix this. Also please contact me or I’ll just go back to Starbucks. I don’t like their coffee as much but at least ScootersCoffee works.

This new app actually inhibits me from going to Scooters. It is the farthest from user-friendly.
* It's cumbersome and restrictive.
* I still to this day can't find where to load my gift cards?
* The reload option gives you inconvenient increments (starting at $25? I used to load $10 at a time)
* I can't find where to load my gift card.
* On launch day it took a 20 minute call to customer service to figure out where my credits from the previous app were.
* When I do have a reward I'd like to use the baristas even struggle with hepping me make sure I'm actually using my reward instead of paying for it outright.

ScootersCoffee needs some major help. While loyal customers trudge through using it, it definitely is contributing to loss of some sales and does not make for happy Scooters customers.

Need to be able to add gift cards. I get many Scooters gift cards as gifts, especially now during the holidays, and it is a pain to carry them with me at all times. In the past I often purchased gift cards as gifts but now I purchase gift cards from Starbucks knowing the cards are easier to manage if they can be uploaded (and merged.). Also wish there were more options to earn free drinks. Getting a $1 off a drink I don’t drink doesn’t do much for me. I do love Scooters. Just think they need to “tweak” their app.

I really hate the new version. I loved that on the old app I could upload my gift cards and not worry about losing them or having to carry them all with me. But now I am unable to do that. When ScootersCoffee updated I lost $15 credit on my gift card balance because once I uploaded them I tossed them.
The stores that I visit have seemed to have nothing but trouble with ScootersCoffee.

Sometimes, older is better, and people should leave good enough alone.

This updated version took getting used to but I think I’ve got it figured out. I would really to see an “order ahead” option. Many other food and coffee establishments have this option and I have waiting to see if Scooter’s will offer it so now I’m asking for it!

This updated app is the worst. You cannot upload new gift cards into ScootersCoffee , and you have no options for payment that do not include some type of automatic charge to your card. It is not user friendly when it comes to navigating and on top of all that they made it harder to earn rewards points. I could be okay with that part of the rest of the options in ScootersCoffee didn’t also stink.

Love ScootersCoffee ! One thing I would really like to see is the prices. Like in the menu I wish you could also see the price for items. Otherwise it’s great!

ScootersCoffee is so user friendly! It is very easy to set up and makes my Scooter’s purchases so fast and easy!! I highly recommend everyone to download this!!!

No ability to add a gift card to ScootersCoffee !!! Scooter’s needs to get with it already...

I am VERY disappointed with the new scooters app. I have given it a couple of months before writing a review and I can’t say my opinion has changed. I am extremely frustrated that you can’t add additional gift cards on to ScootersCoffee . This was the whole point of ScootersCoffee . Scooters needs to make some changes.

Beautiful new app and I like that my smiles transferred over. Scooter’s seems to run more offers which is great. I love Scooter’s and using ScootersCoffee.

I couldn’t have said it any better myself. ScootersCoffee is worthless. If I use/scan a $1 reward, I can’t use my preloaded card to pay for my drink. I am beyond frustrated and will be taking my business elsewhere if this isn’t fixed before it’s time to “reload”.

So far I love the new Scooters app, it looks really nice and modern and is super easy to use!
