The If Found Lock Screen app for the
iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch allows you to add messages to your Lock Screen
wallpaper. Most people use it to add their contact information to the Lock
Screen, so that if their iOS device is ever lost, whoever finds it can easily

I've been using IfFoundLockScreen2 for a couple years and while people might want to play around with it, it certainly is not difficult to use. There are a lot of ways to edit your lock screen and so people will need to explore this but the user interface is easy for people with a modicum of tech experience. It does crash from time to time but that's nothing I haven't experienced with any other app on my mobile devices. Overall, it's a great app.

Set up is unintuitive and prone to error since the instructions are inadequate. For example:
IfFoundLockScreen2 allows you to set several text boxes. Sounds good, but once set they are inalterable. In fact, if you use the side menu as instructed, and you attempt to edit a text box once set, it adds another instead.
When editing the size of the message font, the edit box covers the font being edited so you cannot see if the size fits the window. Close the edit box and, voila, an inalterable text box.
Once I got a photo in and text applied I noticed that I had two text boxes, one with the instructions, now frozen into my lock screen. I could find no way to edit it. I deleted the photo of the set screen and it remained as my lock screen. I had to delete IfFoundLockScreen2 to make changes.
Upon deleting IfFoundLockScreen2 and reloading it I no longer had the option of choosing a photo to start with in creating a new lock screen. Dead in the water.
Execution of IfFoundLockScreen2 is poor.

In summary, IfFoundLockScreen2 lets you quickly edit an image of your choice by adding text and saving it to your photos. Then you use iPhone settings to select the new image for your lock screen. It’s way faster than using another photo editor. It’s also very easy to edit if you don’t like your first try. (An old reviewer was either using an old version of IfFoundLockScreen2 or didn’t follow instructions, but I had no problems.)

There are no clear instructions accompanying IfFoundLockScreen2. You can figure out how to use IfFoundLockScreen2 (it’s not brain surgery), but you’ll be wondering all the while if there is a simpler way to do what you’re doing.

I use IfFoundLockScreen2 once and loved it but I haven’t been able to open it again. It crashes every time. Super disappointing for an ap you pay for.

I’ve setup my screen, text and a background photo, but it never comes up on my phone! Never, worthless.
And don’t expect any tech support, they don’t have any! Worthless, waste of money!

IfFoundLockScreen2 replaced my favorite "If Found" app, which created my fabulous lock-screen image a few years ago. I was skeptical of getting this new app, and I wished the developers had simply upgraded the other app. I reluctantly bought this... mostly because I was curious to see if it was adequate. Now, after playing with this new app, I am happy to say that it is a worthy replacement. It's quick to learn, easy to use, and creates a high-quality lock-screen image, which saves to your iDevice. Definitely a buck well-spent. Five stars.

The instructions and double tap on the photo they give you. Then you can edit and allow access to your photo library. Loved the old version. This one is much easier!!!

App would be great if you could use any of your own pictures for a lock screen wallpaper and then add customized text. Unfortunately in its current form, you can only use one stock photo as the background.
