This is an utter disappointment. Based on the website and reviews, I purchased an Apple Watch for my grandmother. I tried to create an account…it asks you the standard questions to creat an account…when you click “create account” it shows an error that says “No email associated with this account.” Duh. That’s why I’m trying to create one.
The website touts the ability to access LivelyHealthSafetyService (clearly available from the Apple App Store) on your phone, your Apple Watch, and Alexa devices.
I called customer service and was disconnected the first time; the second woman was extremely dismissive and rude; the third was trying to be helpful but clearly had no idea what is on the website.
Both reps informed me that they could not assist me with creating an account and I needed to call Apple. I explained what I was trying to do to no avail.
Please be warned that the website is not accurate. Apparently you need to have a Lively device to create an account…in order to have LivelyHealthSafetyService , etc (which you still pay for). As soon as you say the word Apple, the rep will clam up like you just said Voldemort.
If their urgent response team is anything like dealing with customer service, I wouldn’t rely on it to save someone’s life.
