I absolutely love this app

I got DayCountHabitTracker to use to keep track of a date I was really looking forward to, but it has since become so much more than that. Now it is my reminder calendar, the only one that has ever worked for me. With any previous reminder calendar, I’d either forget to put in the date altogether or forget to look at it, and any notifications blend in with all my others and get overlooked. This is different. It’s more visual, which is so much more fun and easier to keep in mind. It’s so much easier to remember a date as how soon until you reach it rather than a fixed number on a calendar. The themes help a lot! There is so much variety, and the fact I can make my hair appointment look like a salon in the background and pay day have money in the background is fun both to create and to look at. lol

DayCountHabitTracker is very reliable, easy to use, and beautiful.

Widget Does Not Work

I really like DayCountHabitTracker, I really really do, but I have to say, the iOS widget is so buggy and does not work properly. It is meant to show your closest upcoming event, but wow it takes some work to get it to do that. It should smoothly update when I update the date of the event, or when I add a new event that comes sooner, it should update to that one, but no, to get to update you have to remove the widget from the home screen, then you have to reboot your device, and then add the widget again. That’s just preposterous. And that when the widget does not just only a gray empty square. This should be fixed right away.
Also, after the time of an event has passed, it starts to count up “x days since event”, why? It’d be better that once the event has passed, the next upcoming event shows automatically in the widget. The events should be automatically deleted once they pass, or at least be archived somehow like in a “past events” section if we want to do something else with them. The widget should only show the closest upcoming event, not having to change that ourselves.
Fix the widget functionality ASAP!

Works Great

I use this to track all kinds of things, such as the last time I changed my air filter, got a hair cut, watered my plants, etc. Almost anything that needs to be repeated on some kind of interval. I like that you can create alerts to let you know when a certain amount of time has passed but they could be improved in two ways: 1. The alerts get deleted after they are triggered. I would like to be able to add alerts that are persistent. For example, I always want to be alerted one week after I water my plants. After I hit “Reset” I currently have to re-add the alert as well. I would like it to just reset along with the item that is being tracked. 2. The alerts only show up on my phone notifications and sometimes I miss what it was for. It would be nice if DayCountHabitTracker also had a place that allows me to see the recent alerts. Thank you for a great app! I hope this feedback helps!

A week sober! ☀️

That hours setting! I quit smoking weed during self-quarantine, and I was really nervous about it. I quit smoking cigarettes several years ago, so I added that quit date and my weed one and switched both to hours. Seeing the enormous number for cigarettes helped encourage me and gave me confidence at the very beginning of this process. Seeing the hours ticking by while that number kept growing helped me more than I can even describe. I have about 15 games that I set aside to fidget with when I get antsy in my pantsy, but I usually open DayCount first to remind myself what I’ve achieved so far. 💗 Thanks so much for DayCountHabitTracker!

(Feature request: I’d love an Apple Watch app. I don’t need to add anything, just view it. Thanks again!)

Not good.

So Ive been looking for an app that I can put my birtday and my friends birthdays just so I can keep track of them and other things. Now when I saw DayCountHabitTracker I was like Oh cool! An app that also shows how long after an event AND before! So I downloaded it cause it was rated 5 stars it was worth a try. As soon as I got on to DayCountHabitTracker It took me to a blank screen so I then had to swipe out DayCountHabitTracker and open it again. Then It worked and I spent like 10 minutes adding some birthdays, Then when I try to add a 6th one, It takes me to a screen that just looks like stars, at least I could go back from that screen. But I wasnt able to make a 6th countdown! Now Im guessing that screen was supposed to offer like a package you buy for perks but I didnt know that you were only allowed to make 5 free ones. Anyways I just deleted DayCountHabitTracker and will continue my search. Please dont get DayCountHabitTracker is you were looking for one to put lots of countdowns on, try a different one. Have a good day! :)

Schedule Deleted After closing App, no sync between iPad and iPhone.

So I purchased the one time forever subscription and spent about 2 hours scheduling significant events for 2020 on my iPad using DayCountHabitTracker . I was so happy that I had my full year schedule loaded into DayCountHabitTracker that I decided to also download DayCountHabitTracker on my iPhone. When I opened DayCountHabitTracker , none of what I had done for the past two hours synced to my iPhone. No problem, I will just close the apps on each device and reopen, hopefully, it will sync now. WRONG! Not only did it not sync but the entire schedule that spent hours inputting on my iPad all erased. Very Frustrating! Please tell me that DayCountHabitTracker actually deletes your count down schedule if you close DayCountHabitTracker ??? I’m hoping this is a glitch, if not, I Sir would like a refund.

Update: After an email to support, app started synching. My events are still lost so 3 stars for the loss of data on the first try.

Wonderful Interface

Very easy to use and really nice design. Keep in mind that the free version is there for you to evaluate it so some features are restricted. If you want the full version it is subscription based which a lot of developers are going to so they can continue to provide updates. Honestly if you can’t afford $8 a year to support people that provide useful tools than you have bigger issues than keeping track of some dates. Giving a negative review because it’s not free is like not going to the gas station because they charge for gas. Try this ap, you will love it

Good but confused

I’ve used DayCountHabitTracker for about two weeks now to track when I water plants, mostly. It’s pretty good, and I love the look, but I can’t seem to make more than ten events? I’ve purchased the yearly subscription, but every time I try to make an eleventh it takes me to a screen to subscribe for Yearly or Forever. When I select one and click confirm, I just get a loading symbol and it never progresses.

There seems to be a DayCount Premium or Pro or whatever according to the page here on DayCountHabitTracker store, but I can’t find anything about it in app.

Otherwise I love it, but it’d be nice to have enough slots to have more than plants since I was promised “unlimited events.” 8.99 a year isn’t terrible, so I still plan to use DayCountHabitTracker. It’s just frustrating.

AMAZING APP

I love DayCountHabitTracker it is amazing. It doesn’t cost money or anything. When you chose something that you want to count the days to you can pick your pictures that they provide and the pictures are amazing they got one for everyone. It counts the seconds the hours and the days. It has a amazing setting panel and it has the reset button that you can use. For example if your trying to lose weight it counts the days and everything and if you break it you can reset the days and start over. I’m telling DayCountHabitTracker is awesome it has everything.

Intuitive and Fun Themes!

I’m genuinely enjoying it there is a bug for countdowns that forces you to delete it. For instance my use case is — I had a count down for when rent is due and after that due date I tried to reset the date then edit the date and time but after clicking save it didn’t exit the screen. So I had to cancel because after changing every field I still didn’t get the done button at the bottom nor did save function as expected. Maybe after clicking save change button to a close button or take us the the main list?

Great app

Calendars can be so cumbersome when you just want to track events one at a time without having to go back and do all the math yourself. DayCountHabitTracker has helped me organize my life and stay sober, of all things. It’s great for tracking big events, like holidays and birthdays, and is even useful for little things, like remembering how long it’s been since you’ve gotten a haircut or cleaned out your pets food bowl. Opening up the service with a one time purchase point (vs a subscription) was what really convinced to buy DayCountHabitTracker. I highly recommend this one.

By

Pretty good

This is a great app, especially because the only ad there is is the ‘get a premium account’ ad, but there are a few setbacks. Firstly, I can’t buy the premium version, so I can’t get all the bonuses of premium. One thing I am glad of, though, is that I can still use DayCountHabitTracker without buying it, but I wish there wasn’t a “premium version”.

One thing I am wondering is what is a streak? I haven’t been able to use this feature yet, because, well, I don’t know what it is. So, all in all, I would recommend it to a friend, but I wish there was more.

Get it

It forces you to think and plan ahead when it comes to coping. I'm still trying to figure out a way to get myself and clients to actuator remember to open and use DayCountHabitTracker when in distress. Reminders are annoying so I don't know that those are the answer. I love the simplicity and don't want to convolute DayCountHabitTracker at all but I wonder if creating some sort of streak feature for opening DayCountHabitTracker and doing an action would cue memory. Even if nothing chamges, get DayCountHabitTracker because it is so helpful and worth it.

Great but missing watch app

DayCountHabitTracker is perfect, helps me keep track of my daily habits and make sure I challenge myself to maintain the longest streak possible for multiple habits. 4 stars for a clean and easy to use user interface and functionality. I would give 5 stars if there was a simple watch app that let me see my streak counts and have reminders or something of the like to notify me on my watch to keep my streak going, some kind of encouragement feature or something. That would make DayCountHabitTracker an absolute perfect 5 star app. Hope the developers add the feature some day. In general though, really it’s a great app.

Pretty good, could be better

So, I cry, a whole mother-fricken lot. I have a lot of emotional problems, but I haven’t cried in at least 3 months and I’m actually kinda proud of myself. So, I decided, “Let’s put it in the streaks!” And I go to click the streaks button, and it’s telling me I have premium. What the heck? I don’t wanna have to pay for a stupid premium membership, but I can’t have streaks?? Dang, I’m counting til my birthday, til my sister goes to college, and til Christmas on this thing. But, I wanted to feel proud of myself, but DayCountHabitTracker won’t let that happen. Y’all can do much better, may delete and get a different app.

By

Exactly what it should be!

All these reviews about what it’s missing are not actual reviews! DayCountHabitTracker was made to count your days, if that’s what you want, this is it for you.

Ever since I got it, it’s been amazing. I never had issues, and I was able to track my events accordingly.

If you think having to pay to change pictures for each count is extra, then don’t pay. Don’t go and rate anything lower than a five start just because you think it’s extra?

By

Great but missing one feature

It's great for what it provides. There's not too much that is needed for DayCountHabitTracker. I wish I could customize the widget and add in my streaks. Streaks are more important to me that long count downs.

Update: for the developer: when using the streaks widget on the Home Screen after a while (feels like about 30 days) it will stop updating your streaks. A simple tap to open fixes it. I would also love to put a custom background on a streak. Unless I'm missing something you can only put backgrounds on events.

All my data gone after updating....

Wow, I had a few day counters that were about 2 years in the work and very meaningful to me. Today I go to check the widget and get a prompt to sign in to view my info. I think to myself “strange, I don’t recall ever signing in/creating sign info” and I’m a premium member so so you’d think I’d be aware if o ever signed in/created a sign in but no, idk what sign in info they’re talking about. I press skip and see all my counters there with there days reset....this hurts because I had some very meaningful days, I am very thankful I had some dates in my calendar but still lost a lot of other important dates and info. I am seriously considering canceling my premium membership.....

Needs work but good!

I’ve had DayCountHabitTracker for a few months now and never had a problem, even purchased the upgraded version, but recently have run into the problem of DayCountHabitTracker crashing when I try to open DayCountHabitTracker . I am constantly having to re-download DayCountHabitTracker . If this would be fixed I would give it 5/5 as it is a beautiful app and does everything else right. But won’t refer until it is fixed.

By

Too buggy

I had DayCountHabitTracker for one day and at first able to make a countdown and widget for one event. I like the look and simplicity. However, the night after I went into DayCountHabitTracker to make more events but I couldn’t access any part of DayCountHabitTracker was frozen and couldn’t see the countdown I had made. I would have to force close DayCountHabitTracker every time. I was in my 7-day free trial but also set to subscribe for a year via Apple Pay after the 7 days. I’m not sure why I couldn’t access any part of DayCountHabitTracker . If an app is this buggy, I don’t have the patience and I’m certainly not subscribing.

Pretty good for tracking days, but...

I’m enjoying the fully paid version to track multiple events in the past (last addiction indulges) and events coming up in the future. It works great for that!

BUT...the Streak feature is pretty unintuitive. I’ve enabled Streaks for certain events, but whenever I reset the days counter it seems like I need to manually reset the streak as well. If I don’t, the streak just continues counting like nothing happened. But if I have to manually reset, the streak just goes back to zero. So how do I know my longest streak? For such a vital tool for tracking addiction-breaking progress, I have no earthly idea how to use it...and I’m an engineer!

Update to previous review

I had a problem where my app wasn’t updating if I deleted or added an event. Talked with the developer and we determined it was because I didn’t have iCloud enabled. Not sure if it will be fixed in the future so I don’t have to have iCloud enabled... either way it works great now! Love DayCountHabitTracker . First countdown app I’ve kept longer than a month.

By

To Expensive

This is a good app it works really well however you can only have 3 countdowns at a time unless you want to pay 7.99 per year. I’m not going to spend my money on that when I have a calendar so it seems a bit much. It would be better if they would cost less per year. DayCountHabitTracker also won’t let you edit a count down with out paying for it I have to delete the count down and then add it back so I can make a edit. For example I went to change a date in my count down because it was wrong but I couldn’t edit it without paying the 7.99 a year so I had to delete the count down and then remake it.

By

Would have been 5 stars

I used this to keep track of lots of things that needed to be done periodically. DayCountHabitTracker broke with the new iOS update, and instead of fixing it (even though the developer said it was fixed), they recommended reinstalling DayCountHabitTracker .

That sounds fine and dandy, except I lost all of the dates I was tracking by doing so and had no way to see them to back them up beforehand.

I won’t be using DayCountHabitTracker any longer if the developer can’t fix their own app after an Apple update. That’s especially true since DayCountHabitTracker is intended to track dates you need to know. What a waste...

Simple, functional, inspirational.

I like DayCountHabitTracker because it has a clean and simple interface that is easy to use and loads quickly. I don’t want frills when it comes to tracking my time. I just want to check in and gain inspiration from the slow increase of days and of different items I’m tracking. DayCount provides that. Thank you!

By

If I bought it why take it away.

I had DayCountHabitTracker on my old iPhone and could keep track of more than 3 events. When I got my new iPhone now I’m limited to 3 events. You took away what I already paid for. Isn’t that stealing? That’s what I’d call it. Of course I can upgrade for what I already paid for. Who polices this stuff? How can you get away with it?

By

Pretty good

I like the layout, and the versatility of DayCountHabitTracker . It doesn't sent nonsense notifications, which is always a plus. The only thing I don't like is that the iPhone widget only shows counters, but not streaks. Please please please integrate that! The streak counter and design is one of the main reasons I chose DayCountHabitTracker over others, and would love to be able to see my progress without having to open DayCountHabitTracker every time.

By

Limitations

I did not get DayCountHabitTracker for the large range of functions that it offers for pay, but if I needed to I could easily just go to a variety of websites/apps in order to fulfill these tasks for free. What DayCountHabitTracker should be is a day counter as described and nothing more, I don’t believe that the bundle is useful, and paying for backgrounds? I don’t think I ever will.
Other than that, it does what it’s supposed to. It counts down the days from a point for me, and helps me with yearly anniversaries.

By

Good countdown

DayCountHabitTracker has been really helpful with counting down to major life events. It even shows hours, minutes, and seconds. My only complaints are that you can't have more than three events at a time and that ads keep popping up, but both of those could change if I were to upgrade to the paid version. Otherwise, DayCountHabitTracker works really well!

By

Looks like a great app, IF YOU PAY FOR IT

DayCountHabitTracker itself looks nice and seems like it has a lot of features for someone who feels like paying for the full version, but with the free version, you have access to almost NOTHING. You can’t even edit a date that you enter wrong without purchasing the upgrade. You have to delete the event and make a new one. Keeping track of how many days until/since an event is not only free to google search, but also not important enough that I feel I should have to pay for it, when other apps will work without a purchase.
