Look: this game is fun at first. You invite a few friends, you ask a few questions, you unlock the Star Wars pack and get to ask some tricky questions to your non-Star Wars friends for easy points. Woohoo! Awesome! Then, something changes.

You get a pain in the back of your head with every notification. With every answer, every question, irritation builds in your chest. It’s something you can’t quite put your finger on, but you know FriendO is off. The premise is odd. The questions are strange. You feel like you can’t stop now that you’ve got friends depending on you for answers to if you think they’re germaphobes or if they’d prefer Barack Obama over Johnny Depp at a house party. You realize you don’t care about their answers. You don’t care about your own answers. You just want to stop. You want the pain to end.

After a few days, I deleted FriendO . It worked fine, and looking back, it was exactly as advertised. I’m not sure why I expected more. But I certainly didn’t know I’d spiral into such a dark abyss after playing for a few days.

Let’s bring back Candy Crush before we let FriendO go too far.

This game is fun. As a game, it would benefit from the ability to add as many new items (or delete items) to your multiple choice answers as you want.
But in my casual time playing this and getting to know my friends better, I don’t want to get questions that are as politically slanted left as I’ve seen. There have been questions about support of the gun control march, Trump, gender identity, and divisive questions about gun legislation that show the creator clearly knows nothing on any of these issues.
Honestly, it’s fine to me if they keep having the political questions. Just have balanced answers (there are at least 4 options anyway, how about 2 for, 2 against, 1 “I don’t care”?). You’ll get a lot more engagement that way.

This game is really fun and interesting to play with friends especially close ones to see how much you truly know each other! some questions are on the more uninteresting side, but they’re rare and far between. The only problem i have with FriendO is the HORRENDOUS UI. constantly works against the user to make every turn and use pure agony. the chat feature is so horrendous i’ve resorted to just texting them instead, which is confusing for both of us. Notifications often pop up for FriendO when i have no new messages or plays and until i send a message to each of my friends regardless of whether or not there were any new messages, the little red 1 or 2 will stay in the corner, which to most is not a problem, but that bothers me in the extreme. Overall FriendO can be wonderful if it wantes you to use it.

FriendO can be beyond fun! It’s a great way to draw closer to friends you already have and make new friends as well. It’s also great to use with your significant other. I love that it is a game that legitimately brings people together rather than wastes your time in isolation like most games on your phone.

BUT.

THIS IS THE GLITCHIEST/BUG FILLED APP I HAVE EVER USED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. The notifications never work, and I can hardly use the dang app because of how many times it crashes or just deletes all my friends and says “you’re the only one of your friends playing this app”. I know that’s not true because I was just playing with 5 people, 5 minutes ago! this app! You would have a great game here. Fix the bugs. Fix our friendship.

Game is fun, thoroughly enjoy the question selection, but the UI is trash. Hate to say it but it's true. I'll get notifications up to 45 minutes after the message or question has been sent. Messages don't show up. The top 4 doesn't update like it should, I still have the same person as my number 1 even though I haven't played them in 2 days. Like I said it's a fun game and concept, but half the fun is the conversation between me and the person I'm playing. "Wait you've been in a flash mob? When was that?" "Oh it was back in high school for a friend's promposal" if I'm not able to communicate properly I'm missing half the fun. Please fix

So far the game is fun and addicting. But it’s hard to add friends or search for them apparently you have to have a phone number. Can you add usernames so we can search ppl in different ways. I can’t find them thru contacts or on Facebook. Also, changing from reading messages to answering questions does not flow. I give 3 stars. But would b 5

Still hard to add and search for friends. Also I would like to delete ppl and not have to block them. Still need an easier way to search and add ppl. There’s still no way to search and find ppl who we want to play the game with. messages still does not flow. Get it together.

The game overall is really fun and I got quite a few of my friends to play; however, I unlocked one of the categories a while back and I just noticed today that it’s locked again. It’s asking me to share FriendO with three more people! I find that to be a little misleading because I already unlocked it once, why should I have to unlock it again? I asked one of my friends if that happened to theirs and it didn’t seem to be a problem for them. I don’t know if this is just a small malfunction or if there are other users who have experienced this too.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using FriendO, however I received a question for which I was surprised and offended by the options. It was “which one of these people’s grit has inspired you the most?” The options for this question were all men. I’m not saying these men do not have inspiring backstories, I am aware that they do and have worked very hard to get where they are today and deserve to be options. That being said, There are plenty of women who have accomplished just as much, worked equally as hard, and defied just as unlikely odds to get where they are today. I hope in the future All individuals will be considered regardless of their gender.

I’ve had my fun with this game, and introducing it to the right friends makes it so much better. My best friend and I play this game so much, we were on a playing streak.

However, yesterday morning, I try to play my turn and all of a sudden my profile is wiped clean. I have no friends, no games, no feed. When I tried playing a new game with my friends it doesn’t let me, and it is the same situation with my friend. We are super annoyed by this but it was fun while it lasted. We tried to redownload FriendO but it is still the same scenario. Who knows how to fix it?

I think the player should answer multiple questions and answers per turn (like trivia crack). I find it very annoying to open up FriendO , let everything finally load, then answer and ask just one question. Also, I will be on the home screen, my phone will vibrate or sound off, but nothing will show until i refresh it. There should be the option to message the person in the same place and the ‘play’ option. It’s a lot easier than clicking on their profile to get to it.

Great game, fun, but the Dirty category needs to be brought back. I don't know why you got rid of it but it was the soul of the game and without it it isn't as much fun, sad. Please bring it back soon, and with more questions, otherwise many people might stop playing-given the people I know. It's great to get to REALLY know people and especially fun with members of the opposite sex. I don't want to stop playing, and many other people don't either, but the Dirty category needs to return!

Just this evening, this app crashed. When I opened FriendO , I could not see my friends and could not add any friends to my account. Several of my friends experienced the same issue. I tried deleting FriendO and reinstalling it, but it would not allow me to sign up for FriendO . Other than this very new development, this app is a wonderful app that allows you to get to know your friends better and perhaps even learn things you would never otherwise discover. I hope they are able to fix this issue, because I would hate to have to stop playing the game

Surprisingly fun. I thought this was mostly for a younger audience when I first learned about it but they have enough topics for me that makes me think that their focused just as much on a grown audience to not make me feel like I'm playing a game meant for kids. Great after a date or for long time friends, I find myself using this more and more with every update.

Also it feels like they push updates every day because the updates make things easier and are so incremental I never feel like I'm having to relearn anything.

I’ve been using FriendO a lot lately and it is so fun. It has such a great idea and is totally addicting! After updating it today, it doesn’t even let me play anymore though. It keeps telling me to restart FriendO , and I can’t answer anyone’s questions. If this was fixed, I would give it 5 stars. I already tried restarting FriendO , deleting FriendO and downloading it again, and restarting the entire device.

Update: All fixed and perfectly fine now after a couple of minutes!

I like check what the customer support is like, and these guys/gals got it in the bag. I emailed them about what might be considered a minor problem at around 1:20 am central standard American time. I got a reply with in 30 mins, and having worked with some customer support of major corporations, like Dell and Microsoft. It may take an hour to almost a whole day, for a major issue to be addressed by email. So thanks customer support crew, keep up the good work!!!!
