It might be useful for some, but I can’t see how to enlarge the pictures on the lists. When I’m in store I’m not reading all the descriptions for the items on my list, I’m glancing at the photos of the items I need. If I was writing a list I would use one word (oranges), not “cara cara oranges from California”. It’s like reading a book instead of grocery shopping. Larger item photos!
I was looking to switch to an app that had larger pantry space. I ONLY use an app grocery shopping in-store. The lists move the items to the pantry after “purchasing”, and my preferred app only holds 200 before you have to upgrade. I might be okay with a one time purchase but these developers want you to subscribe so they have ongoing income. IF I’m gonna upgrade, KitchenPal better be perfect. I know what I want in a pantry app. I could tell pretty quickly this wasn’t the one for me.

I have used KitchenPal for only a few days, but I LOVE it! My husband found it after I spent about an hour writing down everything we had in our kitchen to make a shopping and meal list (we have 6 children so we have A LOT of food!). I have had so much fun scanning in our kitchen AND bathroom items. I find it super neat that you can scan in not only food BUT vitamins, shampoo, detergent, etc. It will really help me keep track of what is in our kitchen so I don't have to keep manually doing inventory.

I’ve just begun scanning and inputting my pantry. So far it’s great. And.. Already seeing some recipes come up with just a few basics from pantry and spices. Looking forward to continue to learn to use and keep up with food expiration dates. Also, stop getting double items in pantry and going bad. Love KitchenPal so far!!!

I just downloaded and I’m already frustrated. I found a few items that have incorrect pictures but the correct title of the item, and a few that the item that comes up is completely different. I also have a bunch of everyday items that can’t be found. I can’t figure out how to manually enter a new item. Also, is there a way that we can correct the incorrect descriptions?

Absolutely love KitchenPal! It’s so easy to add everything from your refrigerator and cabinets into KitchenPal , which then helps you to find recipes. Love the fact that it helps you to save money by telling you when things are going to expire. A must have for EVERYONE!

Hi
I am impressed with KitchenPal and its performance. However, the shopping list is not shown on the other devices connected to my account, and trying to get technical support is impossible because the message has not activated the send command. If you try to attach a picture, you lose the message because it closes automatically.
I copied the technical support address on my email and sent a message to communicate those failures, but after three days, I didn't get any answer.
How can I solve those problems?
I hope to get some answers through this review.

Kitchen Pal is exactly what I’ve been needing. It is a great tool for inventorying your pantry. The best thing is that it’s free. Also, it comes with amazing support from the developers. They really care about their product.

It’s a great app! I love that i can add all the items I have in my kitchen and gives me the expiration date and the option to decrease the amount so I know if I need to repurchase when I’m at the store. BUT I’m having an issue where KitchenPal always closes on me! Frustrating!!

I am scanning barcodes and only 1/3 of my products are found. What was supposed to be a time saver is time consuming since I have to add most things myself. I am using normal name brand products as well. Frustrating

Edited review thank you to the support team for reaching out. I had concerns about KitchenPal but was contacted by them on how to navigate KitchenPal . I am once again hopeful it will be worth the 24.99 for lifetime. It would be nice in further updates if we could delete items which we do not use in our house. But I understand it is still in beta.
