Three years ago, it worked ok on a 5S and assumed that it would continue to monitor the vehicle and maintain a connection. In the past year my battery died regularly because I wasn’t using the car, but LoJack and hardware never notified me. I contacted customer service and they couldn’t resolve it. I even keep LoJack regularly updated on a new SE (2nd Gen). Now, I have loaned out my car and cannot locate where it is or has been. This has been a big fail, and I regret the purchase. I’ll be looking for info on removing the hardware to forever scrub this scam from my vehicle.

9 days since last update. You can not cancel service an get my paid year subscription refunded. Read more on there service, they sell your location to other companys to track you an do so. Bad customer support take days an days to respond. this app has fallen of as a company. I have had multiple of these unit every one has worked the same , or say did not work. Days to show actual location. Trips completely not recorded. LoJack an product is a complete rip off. I do not see how so many give a positive review. Multiple units a none worked properly. My Ford app is 100% better an accurate locations an logs, best of all is free.

This product doesn’t work. I’ve have this product for 3 weeks and I am having issues with it already. I’ve called the 800 number and a fake person gave me her name as GURLY and then gave me a number and stated someone may or may not call you during or after business hours. I knew she was coo coo so I said you assure me right GURLY! Yes I do. Let me start holding my breath. —- but seriously your product dos t work as advertised so I will need a refund especially if you sale this product as the end all be all piece of junk it is. Find me an email me my money. The kahu doesn’t work and your company doesn’t work past 8pm must be nice to have bankers hours.

We bought a vehicle back in December 2022 from a dealership that is 2 1/2 hrs from us. The dealership installs this this app product on all vehicles they get in so they add the cost to the vehicle. We didn’t really want it but were told it’s already on the vehicle. Well about 2 weeks ago it stopped updating on LoJack so we called the this app customer service and we were told since they did not directly install it on our vehicle it was done by the dealership we have to bring it back to the dealership which like I said is 2 1/2 hrs away to be inspected. Very frustrating that there is not somewhere closer to have it inspected.

I have yet to understand how Apple calculates the ratings. Just scrolling through the last few months of ratings there is no way LoJack gets a 4.xx. LoJack is junk their product is junk and the Terms of Service are absolutely atrocious. Make sure you read them thoroughly. Basically you pay for the system and then Kahu has unlimited and unrestricted use of the data they collect. They can use it for whatever purpose they see fit. Selling your route and habits to advertisers or giving it back to the dealer. Pretty deplorable practice for something that we are having to pay for on our new cars. I have yet to find an insurance company in Georgia that offers a discount for having this invasive product on my vehicle. Most consider this devices a passive system and categorize it much as they do an alarm system. If my vehicle was stolen, with as flakey as the system is, we have a better chance at just stumbling onto where the thieves hid the vehicle than actually locating it with this trash device.

Well, I just paid for 3 years and clearly wasted significant money. They talked up this option at the dealership and I really should have done my research prior to doing this. I live in a normal area (not somewhere that’s hard to locate or pull up on a map) and LoJack is constantly pulling my car up nearly a block away. I set up the geofence and it only has notified me twice when I’ve left and once when I arrived back home (13 hrs later). I was concerned enough that I went and checked on my car but of course it’s just this their faulty app. We have something similar on my husbands car by their competitor and have had zero issues. There is no excuse for this. I’ve tried to get this resolved too but CS has not been helpful as of yet. Super frustrating. Buyer beware, go elsewhere!

Due to the cropping of the image, buttons you need to accomplish basic tasks are barely on the screen meaning you had better already know what they do. You get a very small sliver of button to press and no words.

You use LoJack to set a geofence. It saves every fence. After you do this 3 times you can’t go anywhere else without deleting one of the prior fences— which requires scrolling around on the map to find one of your old ones to select and delete. Very time consume. Only then can you mark the area around where your car is. Seems LoJack was designed for someone that only goes 3 places!

I live on one coast of the US, the dealership LoJack has decided is the closest dealership is on the opposite coast and opposite corner of the US. It would be very difficult to find a dealership farther away from where I live and where the vehicle is with me. I can’t find a way to help LoJack and tell it where I am so it can suggest a dealership a bit closer.
On the plus side, LoJack does correctly show where my vehicle is parked. So, ultimately, I guess the dealership thing doesn’t matter, as long as LoJack does it’s job of helping to recover my vehicle, if it is ever stolen. I don’t have a lot of faith in this …… hopefully I never have to find out if it works.

My device has not worked correctly since I got it. It was replaced and new device also does not work. Speed alerts are faulty I have called for 6 weeks straight once a week because I get told each time it’s been to the second level support and I will get a call in 24-48 business hours. I have yet to ever receive a call back. No solutions. They state it’s a known issue but don’t do anything about it. They tried to convince me that speed alerts were not meant to be able to track real time speed. Extremely frustrated and waste of money so far.

First, LoJack functions as intended as long as the GPS unit is installed correctly. Many dealer installers do bad installs. Secondly, LoJack is seriously in need of a way to change dealers. If you move you are now stuck with a dealer page in LoJack when the dealer is now 500 miles distant. I suspect the absence of this ability to change dealers is related to annuity payments the dealer likely gets from installing these devices and making buyers pay for them. this app now posting identical responses en masse to all negative reviews. DO NOT BUY OR ALLOW A DEALER TO INSTALL A this app ON YOUR VEHICLE. They are just dealer sales gimmicks.

I tried using LoJack when I could not find my vehicle in an airport parking garage. LoJack never opened. Called Tech Support and he wasn’t able to get things working. He told me it showed on his end that the vehicle was moved at around 12:05 PM leading me to believe the vehicle is stolen since I had been gone for five days and submit a police report. After 45 minutes with Tech Support and searching for my vehicle in a hot garage. I finally found it on the next level up. Later, I called Tech Support back to express my displeasure and frustration. They told me the product is not always accurate and usually doesn’t work in a location like a parking garage. So totally worthless! I had no choice, but to spend nearly $400 on a worthless product that the Lexus dealership made me buy. They said I had no choice if I wanted the vehicle because it came with it.

LoJack and company are not reliable!
I bought a new car and the this app system is unable to locate my vehicle and place it on the map. It’s been weeks since I sent in a service request and it’s still not showing on their app.
I paid for three years of service and this is month 2 and they keep failing to rectify the situation. Recommend all dealers and potential customers (consumers) consider a competitor as this is like a scam!
Update: Approximately two weeks later after posting this review my car started populating on LoJack again. To this day, I still have not been notified for the reason why my car was not detected or tracked at all times.

Had it for 10 days and the trips and dashboard features have yet to work. Called support and was told they are working on fixing them. It records stops, but all stops, even traffic lights. Again support told me this is how it is supposed to work. They need to allow user to set stop time minimum or raise it. Also, stops are color coded, but they seem arbitrary. I guess if your car is stolen they could locate it, but my confidence is low. I guess they still have a year of my free trial to convince me that the service is actually worth paying for.

Is there an update available? When I check my cars location, it’s giving me location from 12am and it’s now 9:46am. It’s been doing this for a while now and It’s making me nervous cause I can think my car is outside when it’s really not. My daughter has the car and it’s pinning here at my house when I’m fact she’s not even home. Can you fix that asap please. If my car were to be stolen I wouldn’t know cause it would show it’s parked outside my house!!!

I only gave LoJack/subscription 3 stars because the one report I need, it doesn’t give! On LoJack , you can see your daily miles, which is great, but there’s no way of emailing or printing them out. I called customer service and explained how I needed my miles for the year for taxes. The woman said sure that she can help. She generated the whole year 2023 then emailed to me. I opened and it’s a bunch of information that I don’t need! No miles at all. I explained that it didn’t have in there what I needed and then she said “oh no, ma’am, we don’t have that information”🤦🏽‍♀️ It would be huge if this app somehow were able to send us the miles report since it records it and I can see it on LoJack ! In the past I’ve paid for other apps to track my miles for work and since I’m paying for this app, I feel that option should be in there!

I love that LoJack easily shows me my vehicles location and you can easily report your car stolen if need be. The only thing that is cumbersome is the service alerts that show up after I already received service however you can turn those off in the notifications. Overall its a pretty good app to see vehicle location and gives you a sense of security.

Since I bought (2021) my vehicle and not had this app before. I’m glad it was installed before I got vehicle. I know how this app works from working in Law Enforcement.
In the season we’re in now it’s nice to know can have information to make sure your Vehicle is operating good and if someone tries to take Vehicle I’ve got a safe guard to a point. One never knows. I’ve even added my own extra safety guards also. Do make me feel somewhat safer..

To me it’s worth it so far.

I was carjacked a few months after purchasing my vehicle. I called the police and showed them my vehicles location using this app. The police announced the location of my vehicle over their radio and another officer spotted it within a few minutes. They chased the crook and arrested him. I was taken to my vehicle moments later. I am so thankful to be safe and my vehicle was found.

I wrote a review recently and expressed my disappointment when LoJack stopped working for me. I feel it’s really important to give positive feedback as well when things start working again. I actually work at a car dealership and sell this product.. I also have it on my own personal vehicle, a 2018 Kia Optima LX.. If I’m being honest, I wouldn’t pay full price for it like the every day consumer.. But since I only had to pay cost for it, and since it was already installed on the car, I went ahead and got it.. I don’t see me needing it for anything except in the event it gets stolen.. That and the 15% discount I get through Liberty Mutual..

Today was one I would never want to live again. My beloved scatpack was stolen. After discovering it was gone this morning I opened LoJack and was able to alert the authorities of its exact location. Within 45 minutes of reporting my car stolen the police had located it and I had it back!
Worth the purchase would recommend to anyone!

Protected for vehicles that you want to secure and reliable when you can park your car! I can’t believe I don’t have to worry and look out for for my vehicle every second. When I use it I can relieve the stress and rely on LoJack for anything that happens to my beauty. (I still look out for my car) For real recommended for insurance purposes and adjust your services schedule for your vehicle

Worth every penny! I’ve had this for a few months the locations are spot on! Much better than the this app I had in my last car I couldn’t use it! The dealer gave me a discount to install a second one on my son’s vehicle allows me to know when he leaves the house and get’s home using the geofence feature. LoJack actually allows up to 5 vehicles too I didn’t know that. Nice knowing where my cars are at all times! I use the trip feature to download my mileage and expense off my business trips. LoJack also let’s me know when I’m due for service. Great product a no brainer thank you!

If it wasn’t for this product my 2021 Jeep SRT would’ve been gone. Highly recommend. The operator work diligently with the police operator to inform them am constantly about my vehicle location during the time it was stolen. I just wish it the ability to shut the car during a time it was idol. But it kept me in the authority’s informed the entire time the thieves had my car. The cars thrives were not able to easily remove the tracking device neither. Awesome thank !

At 245am today our truck was stolen. Did not realize gone till mid morning. Found it on this app gave info to officer taking my report and within 45mims we were at the truck with 6 patrols and they arrested 2 suspects and the gun we keep inside. I’m adding it to my other 4 vehicles for family asap!!

I was never comfortable with the idea of being tracked by GPS at all times, but I let my mom push me into paying for this app when I got my new car this year. I ended up eating my words when my car was stolen in the early hours of the morning yesterday. I’d never signed into this app before but I was able to get LoJack configured even though my car was gone! I was able to see exactly where the thieves had taken my car, and with law enforcement’s help we were able to track them down. The whole ordeal took around two hours. Before I told dispatch about the this app tracker, they basically told me to kick rocks and to call them back in a few hours. Anything can happen in a few hours, but thanks to this app I was able to get my baby back safe and sound. Cannot recommend this system enough!!!

This might be the most sophisticated tracker I’ve ever seen. It tells you what stops you’ve made down to the exact address, tracks your speed and gives an accurate location for your vehicle at all times. 10/10 would highly recommend to anyone who values their vehicle😁👍
