Orbit - Find lost keys & phone Reviews

I downloaded Orbit and it worked. I tested finding my phone and my keys several times that evening. Seemed fine. The next morning neither the this app itself nor Orbit would find the phone or the this app. I tried to open Orbit and it would crash. I restarted my phone and Orbit still didn't work. I deleted and reinstalled Orbit . It worked. 20 minutes later, nothing. Orbit can't locate the this app and it does nothing when I push the button to find my phone. Worthless piece of junk. Im so sorry I bought three of these for Christmas gifts. What a waste of money.
Don't buy this product, buy one that actually works.
Edit- I changed the battery and competed yet another set up. It worked! Tried it the next morning and once again it did not work. I'm contracting the company today to return all three for a refund. This was so disappointing. I'm actually not happy that GMA even allowed this junk on their deals and steals. this app definitely stole my money but I sure didn't get a deal. DO NOT BUY
Edit again - ZERO response from the developer. I guess they know this product is garbage and aren't even going to make it right. Now the second battery doesn't work! Pretty poor battery life for a product that worked all of 20 minutes total. Both * free* batteries are dead. I hope the lack of response is because the company is working so hard to fix this POS but I bet it's because they don't have any intention of actually making a working product.

I was looking for a solution to me constantly losing items around my house. I temporarily lost my wallet and that was the last straw. Went off to the web finding the best possible solution and came across a few different options, decided to go with this one.

It honestly does exactly what it says it does. It finds your items and records where they are as long as they are within range. Once your phone gets too far from the item, it records the last location which is super useful.

My phone connects every time it’s near the this app device. Setup was easy and it took me a few seconds.

I just received keys this app as a gift. After downloading the findorbit app for iOS neither the phone nor orbitz key would ring. Orbit download indicator circle locked up about 3/4 thru the download but icon appeared on my phone and appeared to be functioning. Read web help site and said to make sure app was up to date. App Store did not indicate an update was available. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling app with same result. Did more research on web and read where it mentioned holding button on this app key for 5 seconds for a beep. I did this but did not hear beep. After a 30 to 60 second delay I heard a beep. A brief time later I received a notification there was an available app update. Downloaded the update and now phone and this app key are ringing one another as designed. Recommend developer improve step by step step up instructions to eliminate set up issues/frustrations. Too early to provide feedback on battery and separation alert issues mentioned by other users.

Probably one of the worst products on the market regarding key finders. this app utilizes a ton of battery to the point where if you have your this app and phone linked for an hour or so the phone battery completely depletes trying to stay connected the whole time. Also you have to be within 10 feet to even find the this app, it tells you a general area of a location but doesn’t show you the actual location of the keys. This is a complete waste of money and they will absolutely not refund this product at all, it is false advertising to say they refund because they will only take it back if you have never even opened/used/experienced the this app. How does anyone know they will not like the product if they can’t even open it?! That is not a refundable product. I had many emails that were responded to and I had to email them again saying “Hi I still haven’t heard back from anyone regarding my email” this experience has been terrible from a customer service level especially.

The Sunglasses tracker is awesome when trying to locate my misplaced glasses. Fortunately I have yet to forget my glasses at a place far from home, work or myself so I haven’t had to utilize the tracking features to the fullest. Only issue that I’ve had was with the device randomly going off even though I did not initiate a search. I will literally be wearing my glasses when the device starts the alert chime. Luckily I have not been in a place where that would have been super embarrassing to have gone off but I feel that will be inevitable if this single glitch isn’t fixed soon. Aside from that I still really love the product. The peace of mind it gives is worth the price especially when your hoping not to lose another pair of $200 sunglasses :(.

I bought the wallet card from this app because I don’t think Tile had one at the time. The card was nice because it is rechargeable but my issue was with Orbit . Roughly 20% of the time Orbit wouldn’t start or it would crash and that’s an issue because when I’m using Orbit it’s to find my wallet. I reached out to customer service at the time and their fix was to delete and re-download Orbit . That worked but it was since happened two more times, and that is after a couple of updates so it appears the problem still is not fixed. I went ahead and bought Tile Slim, I have never had an issue with tile for my keys and now do not expect to have one with my wallet. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but my hands were tied on this one, I tried numerous times to like it but kept falling short of what it was advertised to do.

Well i got this as a Christmas gift and the same thing happened to me like another user on here posted in their review. It wasn't working until i swapped the battery and then it worked for a little while. So i swapped the battery again and now it seems to be working.

Sometimes the this app will start beeping though I don’t know if this is normal for it to do that randomly. Or maybe it was just the separation alarm but if it was I just turned it off so I will come back in a couple of days to update my review and let you all know if it’s working properly.

Im running it on iPhone X on the latest firmware as of Dec. 26 so I'm not sure what rating to give this just yet. Hopefully the developers will update Orbit soon because I really want to keep this.

Love products. But something is happening today. It keep trying to find all in my house. Saying all battery not showing. Also said one battery was empty when about hour ago was full. After changing battery with new one said it was empty again, so I change back to old battery then said it was full. Yipes. It’s crazy right know hoping all my batteries don’t run down. It’s crazy. Otherwise I would recommend these key finder

Update - it’s working now. I end up turning off phone. Later turn phone back on. Thank you for fixing.

I received the this app as a Christmas gift in 2017. It has worked primarily extremely well ever since. I notice that when the battery needs changing, even if it’s not fully expanded, the this app tends to be a little sluggish. I have also noticed that when I do not use it for a long time, it does not find my phone at all. After I have pressed it off and on for some minutes, then it works fine again. It’s like it goes to sleep and you just have to wake it up. This item does exactly what it is supposed to do and I love it!

I got the this app for Glasses, thinking it would be a godsend as I’m constantly losing my eyeglasses. It worked fine for a few weeks. I charged it every week as the battery only lasted that long, so I never let it run down. Unfortunately I signed out and back into my phone’s Apple ID and the this app tracker and app haven’t worked properly since. When I try to ring it Orbit says I don’t have one set up, but when I try to set it up again it tells me it’s already connected, and that I have to disconnect the “old” device to reconnect with the “new” device (there is only one device). I downloaded Orbit again but I don’t see a way to reflash it. This thing’s a headache.

Overall I have to say that I love making my missing glasses ring. I usually know which room they are in, but they match too much of my decor. Nearly impossible to see without my glasses on. The only complaint I have is that my frames are only wide enough to support the this app at the bottom of the leg. It’s always catching my hair where the sticky goes past the sides of the leg just a bit. My next glasses will have wider legs so I can place the this app closer to the lenses. Other than that, I am so happy. I haven’t had to look for my glasses more than a moment or two and that beats hours of searching.

Love the this app glasses finder! (I bought this after I lost my new glasses, and didn’t find them till a week later.) Since having the this app attached to my glasses, it takes no time at all to find my glasses when I realize I don’t have them. I love that the attachment to my glasses stays charged a long time, and Orbit is very easy to use. One adaptation I did make is to cut a very thin small piece of electrical tape to wrap around the this app so I’d be sure it never falls off. Maybe it wouldn’t anyway- but I just thought it’s worth the peace of mind. Thanks this app!

My daughter bought me the Orbi tracker for glasses after my almost daily “hey have you seen my glasses” I have slim Porsche Design glasses and the tracker is invisible and comfortable, I can’t feel it. Set up was simple and I can’t believe how well it works. It’s alarm tunes are loud and the location on iPhone is great. I am sold 100%. It has already found them 3 times, and once saved me a trip back to the office as I swore I had left them on my desk. Great execution.

I have mom brain and keep losing my phone and my new reading glasses (thanks 40’s). I felt like I spent hours a day searching for both. This device sits discretely on my fairly thin frame. I set it right by the glass, so it never catches my hair and can’t be seen. It doesn’t touch my face. Just brilliant! I can hear it from pretty far. Need to see if I can adjust the volume. Soooo worth it if you are losing your mind and your things like I do.

I not only have bought two or three for myself but I have actually used them as Christmas gift stock stuffers for people very dear to me.

Having said that here are the good features and the drawbacks.

On the positive side they are tiny they fit well they work well. The battery duration lives up to promise!

Orbit software is very clever👍 and once you figure out how it works, serve you very.

On the downside, for no apparent reason I just had one of my early purchases (Approximately six or seven months) fail after only a few month’s.I charged it and it failed, I’m not sure why.

But I love and need them so much, that I just purchased another one! @ $39 it’s a bargain. 👍😎

Orbit is a little confusing to me. I wish there was a button to refresh, because it never gives me the location when I open Orbit . It gives me the last location it was spotted which is always yesterday. I also wish it gave me the status of my this app’a battery life and prompted me on when to charge it. Lastly, there’s a button that lets you say your this app is lost, but how do I say “it’s not lost anymore, I found it”. There’s no button for it. Also, the this app app itself told me my wallet was lost but I had it in my pocket. It gave me the location of where I was yesterday, but again it was in my pocket.

I love my this app ..... now that the issues have been resolved and it actually works because I lose my keys all the time ! I also lose my phone when nobody is around to call me so this is really handy!! I love it actually! The only problem and it’s actually a major problem is that ever since I downloaded Orbit my batty on my phone drains remarkably fast! I’m use to going all day on 1 charge and now I cannot go anywhere without plugging up my phone! Not at all pleased about that!!! What’s up with that? If it’s not on it can’t find my phone.... leave it on and I have no battery!!! I can’t win!

This product has made my life so easy, I’ve lost my last 2 pairs of glasses and REALLY didn’t want to lose these since they are expensive. Even though it is a bit larger than where I wanted to put it on my glasses, I didn’t notice it much. What I do think it could use work on is the glue that holds the product on my glasses. It stuck to my hair a pulled a lot out but it started to fall off after about a week or two. However, this product works SO WELL and I don’t regret buying it for one minute.

This little gadget does what the advertisement says it does. I had some problems getting it to perform all the functions but the support staff came through with the solution. It took a few emails so don’t stop telling them about the results and it will work. I think the problem was that the owner’s manual didn’t indicate how long to press the this app to get it to find the phone. A half second is all it takes.

Bought this app card to locate my wallet when i leave it in the car or around the house or work. Worked fine first 1-2 month. Then i noticed that full charge of battery was gone within a week or so and app said last seen 3 weeks ago(card was sitting with dead battery for 3 weeks in my wallet). Today, while at work I opened an app to check in, after waiting for some time app still says my wallet is 20 miles away at my house while it is sitting next phone, so syncing is the issue. I want some reliability in this product in so i can recover my item after loosing it.
