Worth all the wealth in the world!
I have suffered from anxiety since I was a small child. At times it has been horrific. I’ve lost jobs, lost my home, and my car because of anxiety literally crippling me! I downloaded this app yesterday, as well as the audiobook by the same name (completely free with an audible 30 day free trial) and I cannot begin to tell you the impact they have already had on my life. These tools are worth all the wealth in the world, and I’m only using the free version thus far! As soon as I’m able to afford it I will be subscribing. I see a therapist regularly and will continue to do so as should you. As mentioned repeatedly in this app and book neither of these tools take the place of a therapist. As I said, I have suffered with anxiety from an early age. The thing that made me get this app is the fact that I’m 45 years old and having total hip replacement surgery in less than a week and I’m terrified! This app and book don’t only help with irrational fears but totally REAL ones as well! I highly recommend this app and book. As a matter of fact I shared it with a friend hours after I discovered it! If you’re reading this and skeptical, use it and see for yourself!
Brought me out of a spiral
I decided to download a bunch of self help anxiety apps when I had my first real panic attack and then another panic attack each day afterwards. After not eating and throwing up and being miserable every night and scared during the day, this app was the best at helping me with being alone with my thoughts. I’m still working out of this anxious state and this app has been so helpful at diffusing my anxiety spiral thoughts. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for an instant help to manage this constant feeling of dread that you might have another panic attack. The SOS feature is so nice but the actual lessons on working to deal with your anxiety is even more helpful (which is why I would recommend buying the addition stuff-it’s only monthly and you cancel at any time which is nice.)I think the reason I had a panic attack was because I was living with my anxiety unchecked for so long! So far it’s been nice working through these lessons and using this app! Hopefully it works for you the way it’s been a relief for me. ✨
The DARE App is life changing
I’m still in recovery mode but am seeing significant improvements in my general anxiety and panic attacks. I was having panic attacks in the comfort of my own home due to COVID anxiety. I always had an issue with anxiety and driving in particular but recently got to the point where I couldn’t even drive down the street to my parents house. I was taking several anxiety meds just to feel safe. Then I found the DARE book and app. I’ve read the book once, and listened to the audio book 4 times in just a month & just want to continue listening to it over & over until I have it memorized. I had a set back while stuck in traffic, but this time I didn’t dwell on it or get extremely upset over it. I’m able to accept it and keep reminding myself that it’s ok to be uncomfortable. “Get comfortable with being uncomfortable “. This quote from the app sticks out to me. I love you Barry. Thank you!
This app is helpful for a variety of factors. 1, logging your progress daily can help you look at your issue from a different perspective. If you log triggers, you may be able to focus on those and reinforce avoidance or try and combat the behavior. Psychoanalysis (uncovering the roots of your anxiety) is an amazing tool and although it is just you and the app, logging your episodes can help you uncover what is making you react in such a way. 2, that breathing technique used is a great relaxation tool. The app says to breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, and release. There are a variety of other techniques such as the 4-4-4-4, the 4-7-8, 4-2-6, and many more. The point if to help you relax and it definitely did that. I also love that it coaches you when you are having an episode and can help you cool down. Overall I would say this is a great app to help anyone who is struggling with anxiety.
Best app ever
This so far has helped me come out of a bad panic attack I just had a few minutes ago. I am truly shocked at how much this app helped. I had an attack so bad that I couldn’t walk without feeling dizzy, I couldn’t breathe, I felt hot & cold at the same time ... I was just absolutely freaking out. I was so desperate I downloaded anxiety games it didn’t work at all... I finally came across this app & subscribed to it desperate for my attack to go away. Now I can honestly say I will forever keep this subscription, my panic attack was resolved using the many videos they offer. I am now working on the health anxiety section as that is what my anxiety focuses around, & so far that section has been amazing as well.. I would seriously recommend this app to anyone suffering from anxiety or in a panic attack.
I have struggled with a severe anxiety disorder/agoraphobia/panic attacks/hypochondria for 12 years. Barry has helped me tremendously. I use this app daily. He has the most soothing voice too that really calms me. I love his approach to anxiety and have found much success with the DARE program. One of my favorites on the app is the End Insomnia “deeper sleep” where his soothing voice repeating sleeping affirmations truly helps me to sleep. If you struggle with anxiety then buy this! But remember! You have to actually apply what he says...which is the hard part. To anyone reading this who is struggling: I completely understand and I’m so sorry you have to deal with this...but there is help! And things can get better. Buy the app and start to make the needed changes in your life. Hang in there!
Real breakthrough for me
Ok I was very skeptical about this app and I also hate writing reviews, but I decided to give it a go. I did not think my anxiety can be treated with anything but meds. I was on Zoloft for 5 years. A year ago I decided to ditch the meds and give CBDs a try. The point is , Zoloft and CBDs are just crutches to treat the symptoms and not the root cause. This app is really drilling into the root cause and teach you how you how to deal with your anxiety by yourself without any crutches. Almost within days I was able to manage my panic attacks and not let it escalate to full blown panic. This app really teaches you how to deal with those anxious feelings that manifest. Please get this app if you are struggling, you will not be disappointed.
A sigh of relief
I have been struggling with anxiety and panic attacks for months. My doctor started me on a low dose medication but medications take time. To wait for the medication to work, it was driving me crazy. My anxiety and panic attacks were worse and more frequent. Then I found this app. It’s hard enough to explain to anyone what I’ve been going through. Then there’s this app. It knows exactly what I’m going through. Barry’s voice is calming and reassuring, it helped give me a sigh of relief. This is something I hadn’t been able to do for months. This app challenges me to fight and become my own warrior. His guided lessons help me through my thoughts. I cannot think Barry and his team enough for this!

If you want to build an effective arsenal, as opposed to medicating, or as opposed to managing or avoiding. If you want relief or respite over the persistent dread, every minute, every hour, every day... give this app a chance. The DARE Workbook is another part of that arsenal for me. Imagine that, nothing to be medicated away. Nothing to fear. Barry will help you understand your own power of influence. Barry and his team know what they are doing. These folks will teach you how to self-correct by observing what's actually going on. Breath again, and breath deeply, push the fear out. Make room for the breath. Get familiar with what is actually going on for yourself.
This app has been very helpful in my journey getting through Anxiety. I have been doing great for the last few years with minimal Anxiety. Lately my symptoms have been really strong. Getting on this app has thought me so many great techniques and has educated me so much more on what my body and mind are going through. This in combination of lots of prayer has been so helpful and I’m grateful for this app. I received a news letter today from Barry Mcdogahg and it hit home and actually made me very emotional because it felt good to know that there are people who completely get you and your not alone! Great app to help me everyday
The best part about this app is the “Daily Dare”. It’s a daily message that helps me through the day with dealing with my issues. I listen to it everyday when I wake up or whenever I feel like I’m dying. The only recommendation I would suggest is to have an Apple Watch companion app that would go hand in hand with the app wherein you can play daily dare, meditations and SOS recording. Furthermore, I would also think that the mood logging can greatly improve wherein you can customize parameters and see graphs of your improvement and not just a calendar. Thank you Dare app developers. I truly wish this gets heard as I love your app very much. Thanks!
Changed my life
I used to get up to 7 full blown panic attacks each day, I was in a crisis, the Dare Response book was my last ditch effort before admitting myself. Shortly after finishing the book I also downloaded the app. The book introduces you to the in-depth concepts, the app has audios they guide you in applying it in various situations and progressing forward. I haven’t had a panic attack in 4 months, and when I last did I was able to pull myself out. This method has done more for me than any medication. It is really rooted closely to CBT therapy. If you have anxiety, this tool can change your life.
I started having panic attacks last Summer after a horrible case of pneumonia a few months earlier. I had never been scared of anything really before. I was pretty carefree and suddenly became a person scared of everything. The Dare book helped me a lot but this app was the piece that really started getting me to recovery. It’s so worth the money, I promise! It’s better than any therapist. I tried one once who terrified me even more. Even though I feel pretty much recovered now, I will probably keep this app until I feel I don’t need it anymore. Thanks so much for creating this app.
I love this app
I have used the Dare method in the past and it helped me. I stopped using it because my anxiety improved and I felt like I didn’t need it anymore. Well, I am struggling again after being anxiety free for two years. So I downloaded this app and paid for a year subscription and I am feeling more positive again. You have to make yourself uncomfortable at times to get through anxiety and this method teaches you how to do that. When your anxiety improves continue to use this app. That’s what I should have done. There is nothing wrong with using this app everyday.
The key to my recovery! Therapy, meds, yoga, meditation, books, etc. were helping, but if I hadn’t stumbled upon this app in the middle of the night during a panic attack, I don’t think I would be as far along in my healing journey as I am right now. The tools are so accessible, helpful and practical. Especially when you’re alone and struggling with yet another panic attack. Kept me out of the ER several times. I am so very grateful to Barry and his team, and I continue to recommend this app/book/Facebook group to everyone I know who is struggling with anxiety.
