My Mom was an RN from ‘67, an EdD, and she was Dean of Nusing at Lewis University until she retired in her late ‘60s. My Daughter is an MA with three courses to go for her RN. I started working for Civil Defense in ‘67, today I work for TINLEY Park EMA, and do consulting for several Federal Agencies and DOD.

We all find ReliefCentral and it’s content incredibly invaluable.

This is a great resource for the most accurate information for the Novel COVID-19 virus as well as other global and local societal concerns. ReliefCentral brings many sources together in a concise format.

Two stars (vs Zero) because there is some decent content here - basically “how to”. I installed ReliefCentral to keep up-to-date with the topic, but ReliefCentral gets zero stars in this area. The Covid 19 news is old and is not useful. I’m going to uninstall and keep looking.

Please update. ReliefCentral fails to include psychologists as a profession, but has mental health counselors and psychiatrists. Seems like an oversight considering Psychological First Aid. Might turn some providers off.

Has useable info, nothing about current problems. Basically old textbook .

I cannot tell where the latest info is. The Pres and staff came out yesterday morning with guidelines that all should follow. As far as I can find none of these are on ReliefCentral. Please advise.

I’d rather see news for the latest.

As is the norm for Unbound Medicine, they know exactly what medical personnel and patients need right at their fingertips, and provide it.
The often updated app covers everything one needs in an emergency situation, how to work in that situation, and what protocols should be followed. The RSS feed, of magazine articles concerning everything from EMS to studies on particular disasters and what is learned from their outcomes, is great abstract reading. As we see the Haitian disaster still unfolding, this makes looking at what was learned in past events even easier. More importantly, ReliefCentral brings forth many relevant areas that tie together when a disaster strikes.

These are the tools and updated info needed to prepare for training and response missions, anywhere. With offline access, it works wherever you are.

Love ReliefCentral - great collection of resources, though they are a bit outdated. The yellow book one version out of date and the CIA Facebook appears to be VERY out of date.

Just having the Worldfactbook at my fingertips makes this worth while!

Love it. Update a humanitarian relief app to remove Ebola, but don't add iPhone 6+ support.

Ebola may have decreased cases, but it is still active. If you're going to update an app, at least update ReliefCentral .

Having the USAID FOG is indispensable. A huge plus. The articles are also good, but should encompass non-HADR publications that also cover HADR stories (Newsweek, Time, etc.). Also, when. I try to open ReliefWeb articles (or any links under it) it crashes ReliefCentral . This does not happen with other articles.
