Allset: Food Pickup & Rewards Reviews

Last week there was a promo that states that if I ordered 3 times I’ll get a $30 credit. Well I got the credit but only up to $5 can be use on each other and that pretty much cover the fee only. On top of that Allset always has problems with the restaurants. There are many times I placed an order and the restaurant never received my order and ended up having to contact Allset customer support and then wait for my foods. Not the most ideal for wanting to just grab and go. One more thing is the default setting on Allset is no utensil. If you want utensil you have to request on the check out page. And again not ideal. When I do a take out it means I am not home and I don’t have utensils in my car so there were many instants that I have to go back to the restaurants to ask for utensils hence wasting my time. I understand it’s a startup but it is not better than any existing app like DoorDash or Postmates for pick up.

Update: the worst case is when a restaurant confirmed my order. Then I arrived at the restaurant only to find out the restaurant is closed!! All-set system has major flaws!!

Works exactly as advertised. A text is sent as to when one’s order is confirmed and what time it’s ready to be picked up. You’ve already paid via Allset , so when you arrive at the restaurant they bring it to you at the door, no muss, no fuss, a virtually contactless process, a must during the pandemic. An added bonus is when you pick up the order you can check to confirm it’s what you actually requested, unlike services that deliver it to your door, i.e. if there’s a mistake or something’s left out you can ask it be corrected then and there — so far no errors. If restaurants you like are convenient to walk or drive to, Allset is for you!

Really wanted to believe this was a good app. The food ends up being more expensive than just ordering in person, and most of the time, when I get there, the food is not even ready and I end up having to wait for restaurant to make it because this app made a mistake and didn’t send the order.

I also had spent time recommending all of my friends to use Allset. Each friend you recommend, you supposedly get $10 after they make a purchase on Allset . I spent the time and energy telling people to use it. After I recommended it to 10 different friends and waited for them to even use Allset , I eventually accumulated $100. As soon as I hit that mark, this app customer service contacted me, saying that they had to take away all my credits. According to their Terms Of Service, they apparently have the right to take away your money whenever you want, and also charge you a $10 fee, whenever they feel like it.
There goes all my time spent advertising Allset. Don’t waste your time.

After skimming, it seems like all the 5-star reviews here are literally just people describing Allset —that’s what the About section is for. TL;DR for Allset —they too often don’t know which restaurants are actually open or not for pickup orders, and have restricted their credits so much as to not actually save you much money.

On at least 5 occasions, they took my money and confirmed an order for a restaurant they didn’t know was closed. I got my money back each time, but to have that multiple times just trying to pick up a meal when other apps seemed to actually know the place was closed was ridiculous.

They don’t know how to manage the credits that they gave out and are now in over their heads, giving me just over 2 weeks’ notice that all nearly $300 credit in my account will expire at once—no rolling basis, no advance notice, just telling me to “get excited for what’s next”. Even when I can use those credits, they currently have it set to 50% off orders up to $10, but then add in their own fees so that your savings are negligible until you spend enough money on an order.

If they had a wider restaurant selection by me I’d consider them like any other food pickup app, but it’s unbelievably narrow. If they help local restaurants like they claim to, I’m not sure why more haven’t signed up over all these years.

Allset works and is straightforward - order on app, pick up in person. Similar to all the other apps of its kind, makes lunching at work very easy. One difference is that it allows you to order ahead of time and choose a pick up time, which can be useful.

Only downside is there’s been 2 instances where I showed up to the restaurant after already placing my order well in advance (one was using a pick up time a few hours after I had initially placed the order, and the other was for immediate pick up - both times arriving late for my scheduled pick up time) yet when I get there to ask for my order, they find my receipt and barely start making it at that moment. Kind of defeats the point of having your food ready and being able to just go and pick up.

Your are making great effort for each individual to utilize their valuable time. We quite commonly hear about table reservations through phone. Sometimes busy restaurants may be able to answer calls, due to this lunch or dinner plans may get cancel in many situations. No more calling to restaurants for table reservations and even for selecting menu. Table reservations, choice of delicious hot food and with most exciting promotions through this app. I have referred already my friends and I’ll do....

Wow, all I can say is WOW! this app consumer service is out of this world. I’m used to having to chase customer service people down for big things but this app reaching out to you for even the tiniest of things!

Also, I’ve discovered so many awesome food places on Allset . Also, their courtesy discounts every month make eating out more accessible! As a college student, eating out on a budget is difficult, but I’ve been able to at least enjoy simple things at low cost.

If you are lucky enough to live near restaurants that are using this app, I can’t recommend Allset enough. I use it several times per week, and it makes it so easy to just go grab my food, in and out. Allset is constantly giving you free cash to use, and restaurants frequently have deals going on through Allset . Support is VERY responsive.
I recommend Allset to everyone I know, and I’d certainly recommend checking it out to see if any restaurants in your area are on-board.

Major pro: I was able to get $15 off a meal. But as I and others have noticed, there are some issues. First, make sure you talk to the restaurant directly. Otherwise, you may find out they can’t squeeze you in or they can’t complete your order in the time this app says. Second, the amount of places on it is still fairly limited. Third, I couldn’t customize meal options at the place I ordered my meal from even though you can through Seamless/Grubhub, can only write a note. That said, it’s still pretty new so I expect it will get better.

I love that there’s always a discount and there’s many good restaurants to choose from that I either wanted to go to or went to before having Allset. The major issue I have with Allset is that when I get to the restaurant I do not feel comfortable like I should. The 5 times that I did use Allset either the service wasn’t great and/or I wait long because they didn’t know about Allset or it wasn’t put in the system which defeats the purpose of Allset .

this app is great because it’s the only app I know that lets you order food for a sit-down meal ahead of time! Allset makes going out to eat so much easier and quicker and is perfect for people who do not like to wait for their food. this app also recently began offering pickup as an option as well so you can now use Allset to order takeout too! Lastly, this app Support has always been very responsive and helpful whenever I need support on Allset.

If you have one hour lunch breaks, this app will make them much more enjoyable! Some places I’ve been prepare nice seats (ex. window) when I dine alone. I can be in and out in half an hour and take a pleasant walk back to work for proper digestion. Con is limited menu, but... it saves you time anyway?! Haha. May not afford to do it all the time but it’s a useful service, and can really help with group lunches. Nice that they added some dinner spots since I do work across evening hours.

From all the food delivery apps out there this is the ONLY app that makes sense for supporting the restaurants while not breaking the bank. I love their incredible promotions. You should use Allset ASAP. They don’t have the silly service fees that other apps have (such as UberEats). Not only that but right now they are running a $4 promotion off of each of your orders. No other app offers the value that they do! Incredible!

I came across Allset a few months back and this is outstanding in terms of the price and incentives offered for the restaurants available. Hopefully in the future more restaurants will partner up with this app.

Pros: for the consumer this is the best because you don’t get hit with all the fees and taxes like the others. Plus if you go pick up you can use coupons to lower the bill.

this app works great! I’m able to schedule and order my lunch from a local restaurant. This enables me to support local establishments, and gives me enough time to leave work and pick up my food. They’ve also been employing deals and discounts that allows some of my coworkers that normal wouldn’t eat out to join the group because their meal is within their budget.

1. The menu price on Allset is at this app’s discretionary. You are paying more than what you should at the restaurant.
2. They will restrict your account after you used their promotion several time. They will call it abusing their policy which is ridiculous. Then your credit card will be charged more and they will claiming still following their policy.
3. The customer representative is rule and is unwilling to solve the problem. Talking to them is a waste of ur time!
Avoid using Allset for all reasons!

The representative is trying to disguise the truth by saying it is a misunderstanding. But I do have proofs that the menu price at this app is more than 20% more expensive then the menu in store. So what is misunderstanding?
Also be cautious regarding their so called promotions. As long as u used several times, they will take a closer look, and guess what, ur account will be banned permanently.
Replying to all the critics using almost the same template is not going to help at all!

I’ve been eating using All Set for my regular work day lunches for the last two weeks! They’ve been great! And the one time there was a glitch with my order, I was able to reach All Set by phone quickly (and got an actual person!) and they immediately contacted the restaurant to verify the order! Easy to use, has great deals to offer, and promptly answers!!

Allset is incredible. Among all of the food/restaurant apps, this one truly thinks of its customers. My first experience felt very transparent and a relaxed tone was set immediately as I arrived. It is a treasure to not have to pay a bill after a meal...quite a novelty and it is a hidden treasure. I will absolutely continue to use Allset. It is a blessing.

Very convenient when dining alone and just trying to eat and not twiddle my thumbs for 20 minuets. Sometimes I don’t feel like eating at the many fast-service restaurants in NYC. Allset truly gives you the best of both worlds.

Things to be desired:
I’d like to see is fuller menus from the restaurants. Also, I’m vegan so I tend to cross reference Yelp and then check to see if it’s on this app. Cross compatibility would be amazing!

I’ve been using Allset for a while. It works exactly as advertised. I order, I walk in at the time I tell them. I’m out the door. But some restaurants you need to dine in. I’ve had great experiences at all of them. The cool thing is if there is ever an issue you can message this app customer service from Allset or they will call you. It’s a huge time saver.

It would be helpful to know what areas this serves. I download Allset to find out it will not work for the location I live. Can’t wait until more members in other states and tons of restaurants can get on board with this.
After further looking into Allset it did say the locations but I just clicked the link to download right off the front page and didn’t take me to the full information page before downloading.
