This is app is your one-stop shop for everything solid waste in your community. Admittedly, I live in Tucson, so I’ve only tested it there, but it works quite well. In fact, a Tucson city pamphlet was how I found about it. I can see the entire garbage collection schedule on a monthly calendar. I can also find out what to do with every type of trash. It’s never been this convenient to recycle properly. I don’t know of any other apps like it.
Life is busy and with all the things I’m responsible to remember sometimes I can’t recall when recycles/yard waste were last picked up. This app doesn’t waste your time with ads and other nonsense. It’s quick to tell you what week you’re in. I wish all apps were straight to the point like this one. No more problems keeping the garbage/recycle/yard waste schedule straight. Recycle Coach is a free app. You’d be silly not to try it.
I’ve never seen so much crying about an app not reminding someone about a recycling pickup date or not being able to find their street. Big freaking deal. Commit it to memory or put it as a reminder in your phone. Or write it down. People are obnoxious anymore. How hard is it to remember when your recycling is picked up???? Can’t win with the masses. Everyone’s a lame critic. Boohoo.
Thank you so much for this! When it comes to recycling I always try to do the right thing, but it’s not always easy. I’ve struggled many times wondering if something should be recycled or not. But no more! I absolutely love that I can look up an item and find out whether to put it in recycling or trash. I never thought I’d get excited over a recycling app, but…YAY!!!
Too bad many folks don’t pay attention! I see many people putting items in their bucket that don’t belong and also don’t break their cardboard down. They are either too lazy, not informed, or just don’t care. These citizens need to be responsible. An education campaign may be necessary. Also the county should pass laws and enforce fines for violations. Maybe a recycling enforcement officer is needed!
