Dangle carrots in front of hungry horses. Nice program although the software industry needs to get the hell out of my face. I pay for my operating systems and I’m sick and tired of the marketing gimmicks that theses competing companies bomb and clutter our daily use of our devices. Thus company related to this great application in the way they choose to deliver it they are guilty of false advertisement and should be held accountable for wasting people’s time along with all the other companies cramming thus stuff in our faces. Because of it I will never pay them a penny for this application , great application but crummy business ethics:! I hope this helped

This app really works! I keep track of which satellites I’ve seen by taking a screenshot of the projected path when I’ve spotted it, as well as the “satellite’s view” of my location as it passes over. Note that sometimes satellites are in the earth’s shadow and can’t be seen, or may be too dim to view if you have a lot of light pollution in your area as I do. For the latter situation I find a bright star or planet near the projected path and then scan the area with binoculars as the satellite is supposed to be passing by. My favorites so far are ISS and Hubble which can both be quite bright!

Had an app like this years ago and really was not impressed. But on a recent camping trip with the kids , I thought it might be worth another shot. Worth every penny!!! (It was free.) The first night we spent at least an hour playing with the app, handing it around to everyone, and generally enjoying it. I thought the fun would have worn off the second night, but it didn’t. Looking forward to the next time I’m somewhere at night and can pull this out to see and learn more about the night sky.

Problem is that the app does not give the order of passes by satellites. It makes you click on each followed satellite to see the next pass. That is a pain in the neck. Another problem is that this app gives alerts about the next satellite pass but when you click into other satellites in the list you find one that is passing sooner and at a better viewing time - like when it is dark and easier to spot and observe the pass.

This app lets you see the positions of stars in the sky at night and during the day. All you have to do is hold your phone up in the direction you want to see and planets, stars, and satellites all appear there before your eyes! It is so cool to find a certain planet or constellation on the virtual map and look up and be able to find it in the night sky. If you or your kids have an interest in astronomy, this app is totally worth a download!
