Great when it works

CuriousWorld would be awesome but seems to have issues. Even though I got the subscription the content remained locked for most of the day, even though it said my subscription was active. At some random point it finally opened up, what changed I’ll never know. Now for 2 days it opens and works, but there is no sound. It’s not my tablet because we can hear every other App and sound, but this one is just silent no matter what I try. And the sound REALLY matters for almost everything, especially since my 3 year old doesn’t read yet. No sound makes it basically unplayable. Like I said, the content would be awesome and when it did work for a brief amount of time he loved it. But I’m frustrated at the wasted hours I’ve spent trying to get this thing to work correctly. PS...the iPad is brand new and in perfect working order. Hope someone can help!!

Very Engaging Content

We had ABC mouse for over a year and for my kids it wasn’t that engaging. They mostly spent time on dressing up their avatar, cleaning aquarium or entertaining their hamster. Which they like it. It had a nice educational content but somehow not that interesting for kids. Mostly not for 2 years old.
From day one using Curious World my two years old son absolutely loves it, now almost three years old. He does so much with it: Stories, learning games. He even watches kids doing crafts! He enjoys learning Spanish words. It is absolutely wonderful app. My 5 year old daughter enjoys it too! Definitely worth to try and see how your child would like it.

Way too expensive for us!

My son loves Curious George. Adores him and has for years. He has special needs, so he ends up fixating on stuff for awhile. Thought this would be fun for him, but honestly, there’s too much content for it to be a Curious George app. I get that the other part of it is World. I love what is related to Curious George within CuriousWorld . BUT, we aren’t paying over 60 dollars every single year for an app. It’s just not happening. There’s enough free on the PBS website and from other apps we’ve bought for just a couple of dollars. In relation to other subscription services and streaming services, this isn’t a good deal at all.

Not Impressed- lots of bugs- not unique

I downloaded CuriousWorld to find games, videos and books. At first it looked alright, but as I sat next to my toddler exploring the different games, I came to find multiple games that have incorrect audio descriptions and glitches that make you exit the game. CuriousWorld is subscription based and doesn’t have much that I would consider worth $8/month or $65/year. Overall, CuriousWorld has waayyy too much in it, and not enough attention to detail from developers. Great concept, but needs way more work before the cost is that high

Games I can access are great

I do have a paid subscription however the game is glitchy. My nieces favorite game the pancake one freezes. I can’t access half if the George games, when I hit play the name of the game is said and nothing else. I haven’t tried all the different games yet hopefully I won’t have as many issues with the other categories I just resubscribed having been away a couple years I don’t remember the game having this many issues.

Not keeping if problems aren’t fixed

My granddaughter loves but there are issues with parts of the “dragging” where the end items won’t drag. Also, why can’t replay a game without exiting all the way out to the main menu. Very cumbersome for a child. As I read the other comments it appears that you have no interest in customer feedback in that these changes aren’t made.

No Longer Works

I’m sure the new update is great. Unfortunately, CuriousWorld no longer works on my son’s iPad mini, since installing the update. The iPad is running iOS 9.3.5 (due to it being an older model). CuriousWorld page says it requires iOS 9.0 or later. I paid for a year subscription back in May, so I’ve got 6 more months left. This obviously doesn’t make me happy and needless to say my son is pretty bummed too. Please fix this or refund me the remainder of my subscription fee.

I’ve tried closing CuriousWorld and even reinstalled it. All the usual things to try are not working.

Crashes. Doesn’t let you try anything without buying

For starters, CuriousWorld crashes every time you try to enter your email address on an iPod touch. On a newer iPhone, I was able to open an account (inconvenient silly hurdle BTW), but then found that without committing to a subscription (which includes free one-week trial, but you must remember to cancel to avoid getting charged), literally every single thing in CuriousWorld is blocked off with a padlock! What a waste of time.

CuriousWorld is deceptive in saying it is free to try.

A lot of educational content but has issues on iPhone X

Tons of great educational content, but a lot of the games don’t work well on the iPhone X. Some of the drag-able content falls too low on the screen and due to the way the IPhone X interface works with the lack of home screen button, my son ends up closing out CuriousWorld A LOT.

Hope this will get resolved soon, so we can keep our subscription.

Works great until you buy the full version

We loved the trial so I went ahead a bought the full year. Once I bought it CuriousWorld never worked, it wouldn’t let us log in to CuriousWorld . They had horrible customer service. Nobody could help us get our app open. Sad part is my kiddo really loved it. I believe I paid like over $60 for this and we couldn’t use it. And then they want you to ask apple for a refund. And apple redirects you to the curious world customer service. Never got to enjoy CuriousWorld and I never received a refund either. Very disappointed.

Collects data from your kids!!

According to Wall Street Journal, CuriousWorld is sending information such as your child’s age and name to Facebook, and does not have a better explanation for this other than “it wasn’t by design”. Please be careful and make sure to research the apps you let your children use before you download them. Many apps nowadays don’t disclose full privacy information or let you opt out of sharing your child’s data. Not only is collecting children’s data without consent morally wrong, it is also prohibited by Apple and Facebook standards.

Mostly Good

It’s great but some of the games won’t work.

From day one

Purchased this for my grandchild and the first day of the purchase I could not log in. I requested a new password. Message read reset link sent 30 minutes later... NOTHING. Tried again...NOTHING. And yes, I looked in all my folders. Then went to the website to contact someone and guess what? There is no way to contact this company!!!!! Guess I’ll request a refund. Too bad my little guy actually liked the games during the free trial period.

Educational entertainment

My son is 6 now and he has been loving Curious World since he was 4. There is so much for him to explore on CuriousWorld - it is endless. The all combines fun and education. He loves listening to stories. I couldn’t recommend CuriousWorld more.

Good when it works

My child is constantly frustrated that some of the videos don’t play. There is one fireman Sam video he has been trying to watch for days and gets very discouraged it won’t play. We’ve tried it on multiple devices but nothing. Happens with others too

Won’t let me log in after purchase

Purchased through my iTunes account yet CuriousWorld has no idea I am a subscriber. Still locked out. Gives me trial account status which means most of CuriousWorld is locked. What’s up with that? Contacted support and all they said was looks like you only signed in for the trial. Funny, I paid for the year already. Not a good start.

Don’t waste your money

Payed for a subscription and it worked well for 6months. The last three months I keep getting the “whoops you entered an incorrect email or password.” I’ve contacted the company through their company email several times with no response. There is no other way to contact them and any attempts through emails is fruitless…..

DO NOT PURCHASE!

App hasn’t worked in 3 months. We want our money back for the months it hasn’t worked, but we haven’t heard back. Support tried to fix the issue to no avail. There is no way to talk to a person. You have to email and wait for someone to get back with you.

Still waiting on a refund!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Purchased Subscription but doesn’t work

We signed up for the free trail and my kids loved CuriousWorld so much so once it ran out I decided I was going to buy the monthly subscription. After purchasing the subscription I have still been unable to use the content that I paid for on CuriousWorld .

By

Meh

App comes up blank as if there is not any content 75% of the time despite being updated to the most current version and a perfectly fine internet connection.

By

Good content but not stable

Great content, but CuriousWorld itself is unstable. Crashes often. Suddenly just shuts down and constantly have to login the credentials all over again. More time wasted on crashing and restarting than actually playing CuriousWorld !3 year olds have no patience for such waiting, so this Mama’s done.

Doesn’t work and hard to cancel

I tried to sign up for the free trial but received an error that I was unable to do so. Today, I was charged the monthly subscription rate even though I don’t have access to the content. I am also unable to cancel because my account says I don’t have a subscription!

By

Excited

So much fun I love it so much this is for kids. I hope you like it.

By

Subscribed and everything is locked

I got the 30 day trial and it says my subscription is active but everything is still locked.
