Dockwa works well, but it has a huge problem. When you make a reservation, it never populates your calendar. Therefore, I, and several other people have believe they’ve had made reservations because they manually put the reservations in their own calendar, but for some reason, it was never confirmed with this app. When it comes to marinas, you might often have to make many many reservations at once, and I saw a family yesterday they had to leave our marina because they thought they had a reservation made through your app, but they didn’t.

I’ve used this app for a number of years. I am finding the utility of Dockwa has diminished over time. The principal problem is that the reservation system is only good for finding a marina, not booking a marina. You submit a request through this app and then wait 12-24 hours to hear back on whether the reservation is accepted. Most times, you are just better off calling the marina to book directly. Active Captain or other guides will provide all the contact info and this app only list a portion of the marinas, not all that are potentially available. There are a few marinas that use this app exclusively, but even with those you are still better calling for availability than using Dockwa .

What’s the point of a marina showing they ha e availability bit after going through the process of booking it tells me the reservation is only pending and will take them 24 hours to respond? It is the year 2924 and this is an app and things tend to be automated. So t understand that is so less has a marina on their now monopolistic website then why can’t I plan a trip and count on a reservation.

Dockwa does nothing to make the reservation process easier, by using Dockwa they have added a step. This product serves Dockwa developer not the customer. If the marinas did not insist on using it I would delete it and never look back. Gone are the days of talking to the Dock master and knowing you have a slip, knowing you can get your boat in the marina, knowing that you don’t have to wait 24 hrs to have a confirmation. It’s too bad because it has also made the marina less likely to pick up the phone and talk to the clients who pay a premium for dock space. Total garbage and bad for the marine industry.

The price of a mooring there was $75 and did not include launch service. Launch service was only for members. At 5 o’clock in the morning a boat came speeding down the river and I swear it must been going at least 30 miles an hour on its way out to sea. It was soon followed by several others not quite so fast – only 15 to 20 miles an hour. But in my mind I could picture some kid in a kayak trying to cross over to the beach as one of these boaters was coming along. No sign of the harbormaster.

The system has worked great for reservations at marinas and moorings around our bay. We are looking forward the new addition of the Safe Harbor membership component, however the system is popping an error when submitting our membership information “Error Verifying Safe Harbor Membership could not verify Safe Harbor Membership id (404)”. We had someone else try their info on their app and the same error occurred.

We are weekend sailors on the Great Lakes. We rarely book slips ahead of time. We base it final destination on the wind direction and what this app tells us is available! We love Dockwa . Easy to use. And we don’t need to bother staff at the Marina’s, who are busy during the short season making sure everyone is safe! They like Dockwa also.

We have use this app for four years and have always been happy with the ease of use of Dockwa as well as the prompt responses from both this app & the associated marinas/mooring. Even when our request couldn’t be fulfilled the prompt resonse has allowed us to find alternatives.

I love the ability to filter by an entity, store my boat and cc info so I don’t have to keep repeating it, and I love that this works at so many marinas. Mom & pop, municipal, as well as Suntex, Brewer, SafeHarbor, etc. LOVE the ability to chat with staff rather than play phone-tag or have to search through emails to find our last communication. All in one place. Really great.

Just have app for the avid boater. Some local knowledge is helpful but most of the major marinas are members. Book your trips and go it doesn’t get any easier. It’s the only way I make a slip assignment now. No more calling and leaving messages and waiting for someone to call back. Been using it for over a year and never have had an problem. Highly recommend.

I hate using this thing . Always a hassle. Wouldn’t take my password so I asked for a new one from you and wouldn’t take it either and of course no way of talking to anyone . I finally started a new one using my wife’s email . This is awful and I have wasted way too much time . Do you think people out on the water have time for this vs just calling the marina. Terrible terrible.

We were not pleased with this experience. By far the most we have spent for a berth at a marina and felt that it was a push you in and push you out machine. We arrived and were made to hold in the channel for over 45 minutes while staff handled other boats only to learn when we arrived that the marina was understaffed. I ended up loosing my bow thruster for the docking procedure due to using it so long in the wind in the channel. Then when we asked to delay our departure by an hour or two were made to feel like this was a major ask. I was told that they had a reservation for our berth. We left to take a mooring right in front of the dock that we had and saw that no one ever used it when we left. We left with a very bad taste in our mouth.

Dockwa has made research for available moorings and transient slips a reasonable task as a cruiser. Gone are the hours of pouring over guides books and internet searches. Only to miss some great options when looking for the latest info on a destination or the places in between should foul weather or some other mishap befall a trip. Keep in mind this is NOT an end all to good research via other means it does however simplify the research that needs to be addressed. One thing I see so far that would make Dockwa really great is including anchorage’s to Dockwa with a rating system on its location, bottom features and anchor holding characteristics.

We love Dockwa when we sail and need a place to stay overnight. It is a go-to app!

The only downside is we need the depth of the water at the slip for our six foot keel draft. We ended up calling and hoping they answer. If that can be added in the near future, we would be ever so grateful.

My wife and I come to Atlantique during the week and Briana is always there to help me dock the boat. She also helps us carry our chairs to the beach. She is outstanding! Always extremely helpful and courteous. She should be promoted to with more responsibility and with more pay. Last week it was particularly windy and I had some trouble docking. Briana was extremely helpful ensuring everything was safe and secure. So a big thank you to Briana.

Growing up as a dockmaster and spending every summer on the water since then, Dockwa has been a great addition to our trip planning. It makes it easy to manage trips, communicate with marinas, and have a documentation trail especially for those smaller or harder to communicate with marinas. It’s easy to use and notifications are almost instantaneous whenever there are updates to a reservation. Thanks for developing!

this app is much easier to manage my marina relationships than the old way. Insurance, registration and contracts are all kept tidy and secure in the this app app. Scheduling is easier too—just choose the marina you want, check slip availability and click! My home marina even uses it for routine purchases, so there’s no need to hunt down my credit card when buying fuel—my boat registration enables my purchase at the fuel dock! It’s hard to imagine going back to the old way of doing things. It’s this app for me!

The a Great Loop just got easier! Dockwa is brilliantly designed. I’m a planner and he’s the captain so with his help I was able to answer the detail questions- but I only have to do that part once- Dockwa keeps those details for future bookings. I booked the marina easily and the falling confetti at the end of my booking let me know I did it correctly. Then I changed my mind, canceled the first marina with one click (no penalty -our status was pending), and easily booked the marina closer to where I needed it be. The map tool looks like a google map- clean and clutter free. LOVIN’ IT!

Are very helping I’ve never had any problem their always willing to help with any questions or concerns and their customer service that I’ve been have over the last two months since I purchased my boat been outstanding and above and beyond thank you everyone over at diversey harbor for you continuous and outstanding customer service we’ll definitely continue to use diversey harbor to rent a slip or just lunching out boat thank you for your outstanding services and keep up the great work that you do

Everything works perfect with Dockwa! I did have one problem and sent in a support email. So often you feel you will never hear back. They replied, fixed the problem and then followed up to be sure all was working for me.
