App is hit or miss, you just never know if/when you’ll be picked or how long it would take before a driver gets to you. There have been times I’ve requested a ride up to 45 minutes in advance and end up canceling the ride because the driver never appeared. There have also been a couple of times when a cart showed up before notifying me that it was on its way. Another annoyance is the fact that the cart can be just a street from you yet it’ll be “finishing a ride” and drive to the other side of Downtown when more often than not, that’s where your final destination is. I can understand if the cart is full but that is rarely the case. Small reroutes to pick up passengers would be nice if it means less wait times. RideCircuit in my opinion is very unreliable. An ETA before pick up would be huge.

As other people have already mentioned, the idea is fantastic, yet it seems that the drivers are not eager to respond/accept trips. I set up a trip and the app spends dozens of minutes searching for drivers and nothing happens, no response whatsoever, just the ever-changing messages thanking me for my passage while searching…. It is a shame that a good idea has been perverted by dubious practices, I tend to agree with others who mentioned that drivers are not interested in doing what they are paid to do.

I love the idea of a free electric ride perfect for he environment but the application is a totally nightmare to use.

Drivers are nice and pro so nothing to add for their work.

I am using RideCircuit for marina and venice :
• When i request a ride I am not able to know how long I should wait... my 2 last rides I waited more than 15mn before having a ride! Please let us know when and where is the driver. We have some plans too

• I don’t appreciate the fact that the riders or he driver can’t communicate before the previous passenger ending is ride. So you CANT share a ride and for the rider it’s very frustrating !!

So from now after a week I am very disappointed because the developers don’t seem to pay attention to our feedback!

UPDATE: after few weeks using it I definitively stop using it and won’t recommend at ALL. FREE doesn’t mean we should wait 30 mn without any contact with the driver + RideCircuit give you a false estimate arrival time. Take a lift or a uber!

I love this shuttle service. However, it has a few kinks to work out. Like time left for drop off, how many people they are picking up, accurate pick up time. Lyft and Uber pool are great examples of this. It should also alternate the pickup/drop off. I’ve sat in the shuttle for 20mins before being dropped off. It went in a circle to pick some else up as it drove past my drop off location. Again I love the idea of this but the execution needs some work.

Their app is in bad need of someone who knows what they are doing. I rarely can get a pick up notice that lets me know how much time I have to wait and when picked up spend 20+ minutes traveling around the city picking up or dropping off other riders. Coordinations is terrible. I can (& do so now) walk home faster than the drivers can get me there. And Thank God for trolleys. I don’t recommend them at all. Free and efficient are oxymoron when it comes to this business. Too bad - could be a great one.

Have used the service from other people’s phones and the rides are good and convenient. RideCircuit is still bad though. Just downloaded for myself last night. This morning my phone battery is 1/4 of what it was last night and the battery settings page says RideCircuit ran for 10.5 hrs in the background. My settings are the same for RideCircuit as other ride sharing apps I have: background app refresh is off and location services are set for “while using”. But while those apps suspend properly after pressing the home button, this one sees fit to keep running in the background somehow. Doing what exactly? Luckily swiping up stopped the bleeding.

The only reason I’m not rating RideCircuit as one star is because this really is a wonderful concept. However, I’m concerned about some security issues. Yesterday I noticed my battery draining much faster than usual (despite having a healthy/new battery) so I decided to check my battery settings. Over the last 24 hours, 53% of my battery went to RideCircuit! 27% over the past seven days! Worst part is that my phone says The Free Ride had access to my audio and background activity - honestly I don’t know why that access was necessary for an app like this. Please work on these issues for your next update but for now, I’m uninstalling.

App seems to have a lot of bugs. Sometimes the vehicle doesn’t not show up on the map Algorithm for pooled rides doesn’t seem efficient. Time estimates start at 3 minutes then jump up to 9 minutes then maybe down to 3 agin or up to 20. This makes it hard to plan when the ride will actually arrive.

Update: RideCircuit still gives extremely inaccurate time estimates. I love this service, but it would be so much easier to plan my transportation if I had an accurate estimate up front. When RideCircuit tells me the drive is 2 minutes away but doesn’t show up for 20 minutes, it causes issues.

I don’t want to complain too much since this is a free service but RideCircuit rarely shows an accurate location of the drivers. For example, at this moment I’ve been waiting for 25 minutes despite RideCircuit showing that the driver is one minute away the entire time. I can’t even gauge the vehicle’s distance as the icon isn’t even appearing on the map. In another instance I was told that the vehicle had arrived but it was no where in sight and the icon was also missing. When I cancelled the ride I was berated by the supervisor and the same vehicle was assigned again, this time showing the distance to be a mile away.

When it’s working it’s a great service but it’s too hit or miss!

Used in Pompano Beach FL service area twice during week stay. Circuit runs three cars at any one time, so wait times are shortest during off peak hours on weekdays. Weeknights and weekends if you’re using to travel to a restaurant row or nightlife area, your chances of being able to use Circuit to both arrive and depart your destination drop off dramatically. My request submitted at 7:30 still hadn’t elicited a response from the servers an hour later, after the service window had closed and we gave up and called an Uber. Drivers are super friendly and love what they’re doing, when you can get a ride.

For me and at least 2 other people (iphone X) the version 4.3.0 Build 1 is no longer working at all. It used to work great but since updating to this version it says the service is closed. I used to love RideCircuit and use it almost every day, recommending it to new people whenever I could. Now it just says: « Location Closed, FRED service is closed » I live in San diego and it seems RideCircuit is no longer working for this area. If I switch the location to Santa Monica or something I could order a ride but for San Diego it doesn’t even give me the option anymore.

I think this is such a wonderful idea to help reduce traffic within the areas of downtown San Diego. I’ve had trouble catching a ride using RideCircuit and it’s very hit or miss for me. When I catch a ride in a timely manner and I have a pleasant driver it’s the most wonderful thing. However, I have been left with a very bad feeling ever since one of the drivers made an off-the-cuff comment about how local San Diegans are cheap and never tip whereas tourists always do tip. I have to be honest, I didn’t realize tipping was a part of the experience and I awkwardly fumbled for some some dollars in my wallet only to find that I didn’t have any, which made the remainder of my ride incredibly awkward for me. I didn’t want to tell her I was local nor did I want to tell her I was a tourist because either way I would be judged. Quite frankly I haven’t taken a ride since and I used to use it all the time; that is, when I could catch a ride. That experience just made me feel very awkward and awful and I haven’t quite been able to shake it.

The Circuit app developers listened! I’ve been using Circuit for 2 years in Marina del Rey and had been very frustrated when they went from texts to RideCircuit .
I wrote to the management team and left a review here as well with the issues that I was experiencing. I stopped using this service for about a month or two and in that time they fixed nearly all of the issues. It is much easier to use RideCircuit now and I generally use it at least once or twice a week. It’s still not perfect and there are some times where no drivers are available, but for the most part I am now really enjoying using this service and recommend it in Marina Del Rey!

I can’t understand why the drivers cancel the request after they accept them. It’s unprofessional...is it because the ride is free.
Other times you request a ride and you see them but no one accept the ride. They need more drivers so it can run smoothly. Their was a time when a driver cancels the rides and just be sitting and not moving. Or say they don’t have enough power to pick me up. 😞
Maybe you need better reliable drivers in Hollywood Florida because all the drivers be busy or they pick up who they want. Circuit drivers will park until it’s time to get off the cancel the ride request 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

We were in San Diego visiting family and used this service. The wait time was less than 7 minutes for our pick ups and the drivers were so pleasant! Will use again and recommend to friends!

Let me start with the fact that their app is very clunky and is completely in accurate when it comes to wait times sometimes the Apple tell me the cart will be there in two minutes and then magically it becomes 17 minutes or 11 minutes. It is not accurate at all and waste a lot of my time.

RideCircuit has other problems, like it freezes and doesn’t let me cancel the ride or doesn’t show where on the map the cart is.

The drivers are also horrendous, they don’t know where they’re going and I’ve been on a couple rides where they just blow through stop signs. Another time I close the door, and it opened on a turn and I almost fell out, I don’t think this is an isolated incident as when I told a co rider that it happened, she said it happened to her five year old son last week

The service is good, but it needs to be improved the lack of reliability, weight times and safety concerns are a big problem

randomly seen the free ride vehicle a couple of times while standing outside at work. i flagged one down and asked all about it! got great info about it from the driver. i’ve used it to get home from work, two days in a row! it’s great, very convenient and RideCircuit is easy to use. this is going to be great for our city of long beach! thank you Free Ride.

Pompano Beach ride circuit is so awesome! Drivers are safe, efficient and friendly😊 it’s nice to be able to get around without having to drive or having a vehicle and they get you where you need to go! Such a convenience because here in soflo it can be too hot to walk! I value this service 🤩

Marlena also explained how to get RideCircuit and the area Circuit Service covered. I appreciated the time she took answering my questions. Surpassed when or hotel told us about RideCircuit and service. It had exceeded or expectations because it's literally 'pick you up wherever you are' and 'drop you off at any place within the service range.' we waited longer for 1 pickup, perhaps because it was lunchtime and we were down at Seaport village. Even so, RideCircuit tells you the driver's name and ETA and keeps you updated with alerts as well as on the map.

This service alone has made our downtown SD stay pretty seamless, very efficient, and so pleasant without parking or traffic hassles.

Update: someone I know just communicated with the Driver. I wasn’t even in the drivers Que even though it clearly states he is one minute away.

I work on the same block as the vehicles charging station. RideCircuit is hit or miss. Since I downloaded it 10 days ago, my first ride took 20 minutes to show up, there is no communication, and if you happen to see the little car icon on your screen, you wonder why they never move.

Every other time, RideCircuit says no cars available.

It’s clear somewhere the system is being gamed: either RideCircuit claims the car is on its way “in two minutes”, which in reality is 20 minutes. This disables the car service from saying its available.

I just now have been waiting for 15 minutes, when it first said the car would be here in two minutes..... right. Denzel the driver IS NOT ONE MINUTE AWAY!

Always great drivers and on time. People need to use RideCircuit vs trying to flag them down. When you use RideCircuit it’s a schedule pick up, it they have 5 pick ups they can’t just stop and pick you up. So people writing bad reviews, use RideCircuit and schedule. Love it thank you all
