BEWARE SCAM

The most horrible experience imaginable I booked these guys and paid with a credit card in advance telling them that we needed two people to move small couch/love seat to 2 nd fl bonus room it was located about 7 minutes from our home and I picked 2 pm they sent a single guy and it was loaded on truck by store then he came to our house expecting us to unload it never called to say they did not have 2 people and my husband has a very large hernia and I have bad right knee so we needed 2 people and he pulled up expecting my husband to help unload and he did I could have done this myself I have Lexus SUV store could have loaded it for me and charged us 40 dollars it was suppose to be 130 I asked the owner to reach out to me but he would not so I am reaching out to my bank tomorrow to dispute charges they kept saying they would send someone out when they knew all along that this is s one person operation based on lies we would have liked to know that only one man when we needed two I reached out to the store tonight and told them of this horrible experience had to end up moving it ourselves these people are awful I would never use or recommend them they should have told us they could only send out one man and we would have reached out to another company to help us everything about this was beyond awful terrible would not wish these people on my worst enemy they just want your money and for you to do the work now I know better

Not super impressed

The delivery movers were not the movers identified in GoShare . The delivery movers seemed unfamiliar with unloading the furniture and moving it into the home. The furniture came bundled directly from the store and was wrapped in plastic wrap. The movers brought a headboard and footboard up the stairs that was wrapped together instead of unwrapping it; bringing it up together made the items very heavy and bulky. The same was done for an armoire. Instead of unwrapping it and taking out the drawers to make it lighter they brought it up the stairs in tact with a very heavy dolly. The stairs walls were banged and scratched very heavily. The movers left all of the trash in the front yard. I was expecting professional movers. The movers were just unfamiliar with what they were doing it seemed like. They didn’t have moving apparatuses which make lifting heavy objects easy like straps. They didn’t seem very strong. I was really worried they were going to damage more than just the walls. I was worried they were going to damage the furniture or hurt themselves. I’ve moved a lot in my lifetime as I am a military spouse. I’ve never felt this uneasy about my items being moved. Only one person stayed behind to assemble a bed. I had to help the mover which was very uncomfortable. He did not know how to assemble the bed. I will not use the service again.

Great Moving Service!

I used this app to assist me in moving a large, new sectional sofa from Manhattan to Brooklyn! Scheduled and got next day service for an affordable price- awesome! The helper arrived on-time and even came with moving supplies in case, and driver was 30 minutes late; but communicated throughout. Both workers were easy to reach by phone multiple times. The driver came ready with his cargo truck; and loaded/unloaded/handled my couches carefully- very professional with mover blankets and wrapping- I was impressed! Customer service was easy to contact through GoShare - I had the same representative for two days so she was able to assist me and answer all of my questions! The whole service and all the moving parts of many people involved was smooth! I am so happy, thank you!

Works well but beware

I used GoShare to have a cabinet delivered from Costco. Overall, it was easy to use and the guys who came were great. The only recommendations I’d have: 1. I got really bad gouge at Costco on how it worked, with an employee telling me that I tell them what I want in GoShare and the delivery folks basically go get it and bring it and I pay for all of it using GoShare (including paying for the item). Totally not how it works. As would be logical, you buy the item first and these folks just deliver. So I’d recommend that GoShare folks make this clear just in case the store employees keep giving bad info. 2. I wasn’t sure if I needed one or two people. I ordered two just in case, since the item was 150 pounds. Really I only needed one and could have saved $30. It would be great if the section that asks if you want a helper has recommendations to help gauge if you need one or two (for those of us who are newbies). In the end, I’m glad I used it and would do it again (though I’d get one driver and would pay for the item in advance! 😉)

Be careful of scam by the driver

My first time using this app. The Driver said he that he was local at another project that was half an hour away (no proof).
He called 30 minutes before he arrived. 2 minutes to load my 1 item. Less than 5 minutes to the destination. When arrived he wasn’t sure how to bring in the 130 lbs furniture that fits any Std size truck. He clocked 67 minutes while it was only 50 minutes but the furniture piece was still not carried inside the house yet. He distracted me asking I should checked in and rated him 5 stars. After that I then helped him carried it in.

Basically they charged time time starting from where the driver is coming from. He explained it after I complained why it’s almost doubled the orig estimates $45-60 for a 5 minutes away. Ended up paying $80 plus $5 tips. The guy tried to offer assembling for $50 paying to him directly. After removing the piece I saw it would take even my little girl would be able to assemble in less than 5 minutes so I changed my mind having him to assemble. He then whined that he clocked me in sooner. I ended up giving him another $10 tip. I will be smarter next time only if I have no choice but to use their device again.

Good idea, bad execution

They are, as they say, a startup technology company, and yes, their model is simple: they are trying to be the Uber of moving company, connecting “a man with a truck” to someone who needs AMwAT… so far so good. But the issue is that they don’t do this very well, I suspect because the company is weak and cannot control the “independent contractors” it is trying to connect to customers. My experience has been that I schedule a pick-up/drop-off with them on GoShare , which goes well and smoothly. Then, I get a barrage of text messages (why not use GoShare ? Isn’t that the point of an App?) telling me about drivers rescheduling, cancelling, wrong size truck sizes arriving, and basically, a lot of your time being wasted and you realise that going to the local U-haul and hiring the couple of day workers there (actually the same guys who do the job anyway!) would have been quicker, less stressful, and easier. So, yes, it is trying to cater to our modern age of “faceless connections” and technology based basic services, but it miserably fails to do so. I am not sure why Uber works and this app doesn’t, but the facts lie before you.

First time user very happy!

So ArtVan canceled delivery and left me in the lurch, so started googling delivery services and found this app. Put in info for an estimate ($10 more than ArtVan charged me- so knew it was in the ballpark) so I submitted request. Almost immediately my job got picked up. I called Corey who was assigned to me just to see if he needed any more info to get my order from distribution center. He asked me to text my invoice, and he was able to get my order no problem. Getting it in my house however, turned out to be quite a challenge! We had to take off doors, try several different angles, but they were pro’s and got it in!! I was very impressed with them and tipped their excellent service. The only surprise was that the job took quite a bit longer than original estimate, but with a good reason. I didn’t realize I had to finish the transaction online afterwards. I thought it got charged automatically.

I would definitely use this app again!!!

Major flaws.

Super nice and friendly driver, but it took him 2 hrs and 13 minutes to drive 50 miles so it ended up costing a ton. I understand that the initial price given is an estimate, BUT, I drive the same distance/stretch on a regular basis and the store I had the pick up from called me while the driver was there so I know exactly what time he arrived and left.
I also checked traffic on both waze and google when he was leaving, so I knew it shouldn’t have taken more then 1 hr 15 mins max.. How it took him an xtra hour, I have no clue. However... Considering they charge pr minute it ended up costing me 60 dollars extra. Unlike Uber and Lyft, there’s no way of actually tracking the drivers via gps, so he could actually have stopped for an hr lunch or and nobody would know. ( I’m not saying he did.)
GoShare is a good concept, but hugely flawed as you don’t know the price until after the fact and there’s no way of tracking the drivers.
Also.. it is very difficult to get a hold of customer service, so I would not use GoShare again unless these flaws are fixed.

Poor communication with their drivers

There is very poor communication between the dispatchers and drivers. The drivers have been very nice. This was the 2nd time we used service. The first time we had a large 6 piece sectional couch from Costco in 5 very large boxes. Requested large cargo van or truck. Took pictures of all boxes. The poor driver shows up in a small Ford cargo van. Props to him. He worked really hard and barely got it loaded. He Put one piece in his front seat. Just today scheduled pick up for large dining table from Pier 1. After 10 min was told no drivers in the area. No big deal. Texted them back that I will cancel job and reschedule. Received text confirming cancellation. This was at 5:03pm. At 5:56pm started getting phone calls from both the store and the driver that he was there to pick up table. My family was leaving for dinner but decided to do it since the guy was already there. He showed up very quickly. Nice guy. They did give me a discount on job but still a big inconvenience. They put their drivers in bad situations due to poor communication. May consider using in the future.

frauds

don't be fooled by the customer responses. THEY have ways of tracking drivers, but they don't show us because it allows them to give us a run around. I was charged nearly $100 for a 20 minute drive (involved picking up a chair and dropping it off, should have been 35-40). The driver didn't even get out of his car when he arrived (and started charging), just sat there until the seller of my item had to go out and get him to pick up the item. When I complained about this and the massive overcharge (took multiple messages across platforms over two weeks to even get a resolution), this app refused to refund me a dime, but offered $15 of credit for future jobs. You think I'm dumb enough to use this service again? Hell no. If you want a cheaper, better quality service with better customer service and more integrity, use Taskrabbit. I will never waste another dime on these aholes. The dumbest part is that I might've used this service in the future if they resolved the case with some dignity, but I guess they only care about making sales with initial customers that don't know any better

Rated too soon!

Ordered truck, extra helper and an appliance dolly to transport a French door refrigerator. 2 guys showed up on time and loaded the frige in a covered Ram 1500. It was not tall enough so the frige stayed on the dolly at an angle. I was not at the receiving end to inspect, but was originally told it arrived ok, so I gave them 5 star ratings. Later I learned the side of the frige was scratched in the transport. I noticed that the dolly/hand truck was smaller than a regular appliance size dolly (which I thought I had paid for). Also, I don’t believe it had anything to protect the metal from the appliance, thus the scratching. It was in excellent condition before this trip. I have seen pics of the scratches and they will have to be painted over. Had it not been for this damage I would highly recommend them. They should have used a professionally sized appliance dolly, like the one that delivered my new frige. This frige went to a friend and now I will try to cover up the ugly scratching as best I can. I can only recommend this service for items that are already worn or scratched.

Easy and convenient and a little pricey

I was referred to the this app app by the asst manager at our local HomeSense store to arrange delivery of two large living room chairs. GoShare is simple to use and we confirmed a next day delivery within minutes of setting up GoShare . My only complaint is the pricing - which was on the high side for the delivery of only two chairs in my opinion. However, timing was more important than money in this instance so I can’t complain too much. If I wasn’t under time pressure, it would have been less than half the price to simply rent a Home Depot truck for a couple of hours and do the delivery myself with a friend. I guess the old adage of “You pay for convenience” is certainly true for this app.

Buyer Beware

Buyer beware that my experience was job completion is optional, if your furniture is damaged it’s your problem (plausible deniability for them), and competence of movers is optional (a luck of the draw really). If I could rate negative stars I would- one star is way too high. I scheduled a job to be delivered to my 2nd floor. They abandoned the furniture on my first floor. The movers dragged my furniture on the pavement with no protection damaging them. I had to send multiple messages to the company over days to actually get any kind of response re: completing the delivery and the damage. Response was akin to, first we don’t cover damage the movers do, then too bad we don’t agree our guys caused the damage so you’re on your own, and finally up to you to get your stuff upstairs too bad we couldn’t complete the project as agreed and scheduled. So here am I furniture blocking my enterance and damaged. Nice work this app- you should be proud. Never again will I use this absolutely awful service. Horriblr customer experience all around.

I’d give 0 stars if I could

Stay AWAY from the company! Not only can you NOT get ahold of customer support via PHONE...they quote you a min & max price then charge you OVER the max! This is a scam and I’ll never use them again. I had 5 items I needed moved 16mi away. I was given the price max 176. The 2 drivers came and moved everything outside and sat them in the ground while they “discussed” how it would be loaded. Even thought they had already been inside and reviewed all the items and decided which would be loaded first. This seemed to be stalling and padding the time. The FINALLY put everything in their trucks and guess what!? It started purring down raining. I told them it was coming and NO they didn’t cover any of my furniture. My mattress got SOAKED! I submitted a claim and was told it would be 24hrs to be resolved. It is now over 72hrs and no one can tell me anything. You can ONLY reach someone via a bull crap live Chat that doesn’t get you anywhere! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Buy a U-Haul and hire one of their movers. SAVE THE HEADACHE!

Overall Experience

The guys were on time, they came within a 1/2 hour of when I registered. They both even called me within five minutes of me hitting the submit button, they were very nice, accommodating, and they helped my mom once they got to the destination to pull the items out of the boxes which would’ve been very tough to do especially for her, she’s 83 years old, I would absolutely use this app again the next time I need it.

There was only one problem with the usability of this app app, when you hit the submit button or the next button on the pick up or destination dialog box, and you make a mistake and want to correct, i seem to remember it erasing all your information you’ve to typed in or entered via gps.

Didn’t show, and then changed the price

I used this to try and arrange transport of a standard refrigerator. Very simple, or so I thought. First, the guy didn’t show. So I called and he didn’t answer his phone, so I called customer service. They were going to assign another driver, but then they decided for a refrigerator I needed a larger truck, a ramp and two guys. I told them that when I selected refrigerator from their list of items I wasn’t informed of any of that, and it seemed unfair to change the terms and double the price the day of the transport. They basically said too bad, refused to honor the original quoted price and canceled the whole thing.
I’m not sure what good their quotes are if they refuse to actually honor it for something as standardized as a refrigerator (which are all virtually the same size and weight). Good luck if you have something with variation, like a couch, or a table and chairs, or even a bed. Chances are high that someone will show up and determine “the quote was wrong” and demand more money.

Rip off

These guys do NOT use professionals..I used GoShare to move a refrigerator and a couple of large boxes…they showed up with no tools, had no idea how to take the doors off of a refrigerator(which is required to get a larger refrigerator out the door) , made me(a disabled person) take the doors off myself, then ripped the water line out rather than locate a pair of pliers to get it off correctly, then left the bow broken and I assembled refrigerator at my home. They then charged me over $900 and even had the nerve to ask for a tip. They were not professional movers, there were just a couple of junk haulers claiming to be professionals…Stay away from GoShare and it’s “professionals”

Scam after the delivery

I had an estimate, which was more than I planned on, but I agreed to it. The next day, I received a final bill of approximately $152. I was told this amount by a CS rep by chat and an email of the chat history was sent to me. Two hours later, that email was erased by this app. Another email was sent in its place saying now I was now being charged $294. I looked in my checking account....They already took it out of my account!!! I will be disputing this. It’s funny that the chat history and previous email was withdrawn to cover themselves. So, really, the company scammed me after the fact. The movers told me I wasn’t going to be charged anything other than the estimate. Additionally, they damaged my floor. They admitted to it. Now let’s see if this app will pay for the damages or try and say it was not their fault. I will never recommend this service to anyone, nor use it again, unless the company rectified this huge huge mistake.

Heavily damaged appliance and blocked from accessing support

Used GoShare to coordinate delivery of 36wx70hx30d Maytag Wide x Side. Paid extra for a dolly and ramp. the driver arrived after transporting it from Arlington Va to DC on its side (a basic no-no). No dolly and no ramp. Pulled the refrigerator out of his pickup across his tailgate, dragged it across our cement stairs, then tried to place it on a small square wooden appliance buggy.

After further scrapes and watching them try and lift it damaging it more I had them leave it on my patio blocking access to my garage and alley. Nathan at this app tried to help and lined up someone for the next morning.

That person never called or showed. After talking with Brandi and Emilie trying to figure a plan that wasn't "what's the latest we can take care of it" and offering suggestions and options they could try, I was transferred to Marissa. She told me that they would not be refunding my original delivery or paying for someone to complete the job. When I told her that is not what Nathan indicated she disconnect our chat and blocked my ability to access customer service through GoShare .

After being ghosted by Customer Service for 24 hours I paid some else else to move it in my house only to discover the transport damage rendered the unit inoperable.

Still nothing on numerous texts or emails.

Go Share is really amazing !!

This service is truly amazing. We were out of town attending a wedding and the bride needed someone last minute to pick up and deliver an item within the next 2 hours since her wedding was taking place. I remember hearing about the service and how useful it was. If I would’ve went out and tried to pick up the item myself and rent a truck, I would’ve missed the wedding.I’ll put in a request a few hours before the wedding, and they made it happen! The bride was in tears trying to figure out how to delivery this item. We are still amazed at how fast they responded.

I highly recommend this service!

Excellent experience, highly recommend Go Share!

Can’t say enough positive things about my first time experience using Go Share! I did a lot of research prior to using this app and all my research paid off! My delivery contact was extremely quick, efficient, nice and helpful throughout the entire process! I placed my order at exactly 5 PM on 3/31 and the driver had everything delivered, set up and done in a little over an hour! I was completely shocked in a good way for how quick, smooth and practical this whole process is! I will definitely use this app again in the future! Love the whole delivery on demand concept and Go Share is definitely the Uber of delivery service!

Wouldn’t recommend

I purchased an item from pier 1 and ordered this service. I watched them put the item on the truck and said I’d meet the 2 drivers at house. When I went to my car, I noticed the drivers still hadn’t left the parking lot. When I drove around to the back of the store, I saw the 2 drivers hanging out and chatting - on my dime!!!! As soon as they saw me they both frantically went to their cars and said they’ll be on the way. I’m paying per minute and they thought they can just waste my time and money and hang out. They drove slow on the freeway, were not professional movers by any means, and did not have the right experience or equipment to get my piece inside the house. With the help of my roommate and his equipment, they were able to bring it inside. Not a trustworthy service. I wouldn’t use them or recommend them. My delivery cost $200. You’d be better off having some friends help you. Stay away!
