This is the worst banking app I’ve ever used, and the worst bank I’ve ever banked with. I’ve lived in 8 countries in the Americas, Europe and Africa, so I have a lot of banking experiences to compare with BBVA. They spam customers with emails about products (lines of credit, mortgages, etc.) but when ALL their ATMs and digital services are down, which has happened twice this year, they are silent. BBVASpainOnlinebanking is not user friendly and the interface is clunky and old-fashioned.
Finally, and this is the worst part, the bank staff are super rude with massive bad attitudes. And they only serve customers in person from 8-11am! Only 3 hours! Their client service is just atrocious.
I once was traveling outside of the EU and they blocked my card to “prevent fraud” in the middle of my trip—even tho I had warned them I was traveling (and had already been traveling for some weeks!) I called and verified my information, but because I couldn’t receive an SMS on my Spanish number since I was out of the EU, my card remained blocked for the remainder of my vacation, which was a huge inconvenience.
BBVA erroneously believes that measures like this prevent fraud, when in reality they just make for a terrible user experience.
