Didn't work with my MacBook Air / iPhone. Connection between two devices would not stop dropping. I removed app from both devices and twice requested a refund. No refund has been provided. Apple account indicates "not eligible for a refund". Ridiculous given these factors and fact that this is not a hard product involving repackaging costs, etc. As a result I will never again purchase a Avatron LLC product, and I won't be purchasing anything I don't absolutely need anymore from Apple/iTunes (too many competitors who provide better customer satisfaction these days)

Made me download it twice for a total cost of $35+ and it doesn’t work to transfer over ppt files. And now suddenly stopped working even with just the web- (which why do I technically need to transfer to iPad a website I can just log on there) I want my money back

Works like it should maybe 10% of the time. Randomly cuts out, and when the second screen actually does appear on my iPad, the mouse is often invisible. This is despite following the privacy setting recommendations on the online FAQ regarding screen recording permission. Don’t waste your money, this would be great if it works, but most of the time it doesn’t for no discernible reason whatsoever.

Air Display works really well for using my IPad Pro as a monitor for my Mac Mini. Support is good as well when I had a problem after updating my IPad Pro they helped me solve the issue. Hopefully they will have a version that will work with the M1 Macs

AirDisplay is great to turn an Ipad into a second display
Using the iPad then to sketch in photoshop is however not fluid with my iMac 2014. There is a significant delay between touching the display and then drawing.

I was looking for an app that would allow me to use my iPad Pro as a second monitor for my MacBook Pro. After doing searches and queries, I came across Air Display and discovered, as I read more about it, that it looked like the answer to my prayer. After downloading it, I had a little issue with getting it to work properly. But I reached out to Avatron via email and received immediate feedback. They instructed me in what I needed to do to get AirDisplay functioning properly and when I followed their very simple instruction, I was up and running in no time at all. This was really great because I was facing a time deadline and needed their help right away. They came through without fail and I’m very happy with my decision to purchase Air Display. 👍🏾 👍🏾

AirDisplay does exactly what it says. It works seamlessly with my iPad Air 2 and my iPhone 11. Had a few issues with setup, but customer support was FAST with professional help. Highly recommend.

Found that AirDisplay is an easy setup and works really well in both Mojave and Catalina.
Smooth transition when moving windows from Mac to iPad with scaling to fit display which is superior to other similar apps.

Very helpful tool in creating your home office!
Very pleased that this app driver works alongside DiplayPort driver, since I’m also using a USB monitor requiring the DisplayPort driver. Products from other vendors did not work in this setup.
On another note:
iOS updates can break functionalities of Apps, especially individual setups can show various behavior. Please do contact support as they are really helpful and quick in their response.

IPad app crashing on open was resolved with version 3.3.5. It was a bug impacting iOS 12 that has been fixed.
The client works very well and reliably both wirelessly and via USB.
The host needed to be installed multiple times but appears to be operating…
Avatron was responsive and clear. Their in-process fix resolved my issue. Pleasure to work with them. Recommended product.

I hadn’t used this in awhile, but after discovering my Mac isn’t supported with the new Apple sidecar feature, I decided to give Air Display 3 another shot.
At first I thought there was an issue, but after going to their website and checking support, there’s an extra step you have to go through on the Mac that gives Air Display 3 the proper permissions.
Now, it works perfectly! And I’ve seen they’ve been updating it regularly so it’s definitely still very much supported.

If for some reason you find yourself away from your nicely set up office, working on a laptop and desperate for screen space — AirDisplay and an iPad are the answer. Nicely designed and stable; a recent bug was fixed within 24 hours of reporting.

If you use a teleprompter with an iPad, Air Display is a must. The screen reversing function allows you to project ANYTHING in reversed form (not just text as with other teleprompter apps) and this is a game changer. Customer support was a bit slow but very helpful. My colleagues are eagerly awaiting a Windows version. Thanks, Avatron!

When I initially purchased AirDisplay, the required mac OS driver would cancel with a “not compatible” error. Months after leaving a bad review, the developer finally reached out and was pleasant. Unfortunately the proposed work around was fairly involved, and I personally did not see it as a legitimate method due to potential risks. I’m happy to see it seems to be up and working great!

Another old macbook user here, with no access to sidecar for my iPad. This works really well. The wired display is snappier than the wireless, but having wireless is convenient at times. Helpful tech support solved a minor issue. Tip: if you want usb as your main connection, you don’t need to (and shouldn’t) activate “connect automatically.” Use that if you want to connect to WiFi automatically.

Using my iPad as a second monitor is imperative for my work. I had trouble with Apple Sidecar so I needed an easy option without any drag between the screens. Air Display 3 is that solution! I absolutely love it!
Customer support is amazing. I experienced some difficulty setting up Air Display and Pip from Avatron responded quickly and helped me through the issue. In the end it resulted from a Catalina OS update versus being an issue with Air Display.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND AirDisplay for any developer, designer, entrepreneur or busy human!

AirDisplay stopped working after update to Mac OS X Catalina. It would keep crashing. It turned out Apple changed security parameters in Catalina. I contacted Air Display support and they provided a simple security setting modification on the Mac which resolved the issue right away. Their customer service was prompt and helpful. Here are the steps provided by customer service:
Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy
Scroll down and select Screen Recording. You should see Air Display Host listed in a box at the right.
Enable its checkbox to allow it to "record the contents of your screen, even when using other apps." (You may need to click the little padlock and enter your password to allow the change.)

At first I was skeptical. I couldn’t get it to work as it should. Being a lazy person I was going to write it off. But I emailed support. They told me how to change my Mac settings in privacy so it works then voila I had 2 screens. Support made it so easy to get it working.
