I was looking for a simple scanner to scan my lotto tickets. WashingtonsLottery requires an account be created before I can simply scan my ticket. They state in WashingtonsLottery that the personal information they require is for age verification. This is not necessary nor is it required by law. ... Let the lady behind the counter check my ID when I collect my winnings, I don’t need an app to “pretend” it knows that I’m an adult because I have given it someone’s personal info.

WashingtonsLottery was useful. I don’t play lottery games all the time, but for the last month, WashingtonsLottery will not scan the barcode on the ticket. What’s wrong with it? Having to sign in and give oersonal info in order to scan your numbers. I expect to fill out forms for a drivers license, but to play a lottery game, really? It was a fun game of chance. Some Big Brother control freak(s) took the fun out of the game with unnecessary requirements. It’s like paying someone to make your life more complex. Won’t be playing anymore unless and until they roll back WashingtonsLottery.

WashingtonsLottery used to work fine but then they upgraded it and now requires a login with all kinds of sensitive personal information. Simply it’s information I won’t share on an app.

I downloaded WashingtonsLottery to be able to scan my tickets without having to go to the store, because we buy tickets once a week and check them at a later date. This was a wonderful app because it contained lottery info pertaining to JUST the games in my particular state.

I used to use this for ticket scanning. Now, with the updates, you must create a profile that includes name, phone, email, age, gender and other invasive information JUST TO SCAN A TICKET. Used to be able to scan a ticket without having to give away your information to the jackals but they want to sell your information like so many other to whichever scammer that pays for the info. Like all the other reviews said, they screwed the pooch on their apps so they can track and sell your information. This is disgusting that if I want to just check my ticket I have to provide ALL OF MY INFORMATION. I’m almost shocked that they didn’t ask for a social security number.

Before the most current update you did not have to be signed in to check your ticket. Plus the older version of WashingtonsLottery showed you your ticket numbers even if it wasn’t a winner. The updated version of WashingtonsLottery you have to have an account and be signed in to scan your ticket.... Show more Once your ticket is scanned the updated version just says “Sorry, your not a winner”, it doesn’t show you your numbers on your ticket like the previous version. I like comparing my physical ticket numbers to what WashingtonsLottery shows to make sure there’s not a mistake. Disappointed that that feature was changed. Probably won’t be buying as many tickets in the future.

Previously I was able to scan my tickets easily. System was accurate. But recently as of early November 2019 on an update, it now wants me to have an account login to scan. My last review was low due to not being able to scan your ticket without having to log in.

Now you don’t have to login to scan your ticket, but I still liked it when it showed your scanned ticket and showed the winning numbers from each line.

I downloaded WashingtonsLottery on March 6, 2021. I was NOT required to create an account/log-in in order to scan my lotto tickets. Of course none of the other app features are available to me. I just downloaded WashingtonsLottery this morning. I used it to scan my non winning ticket. 😭
Maybe something has changed, but I was not required to give a bunch of data, in fact I didn’t add any data.

I rarely play the lotto, but WashingtonsLottery makes it super easy to see if your ticket won, or what it won, or in my case that it didn’t win.

Apps easy to use, get to scan my tickets and apparently now I get points even for losing tickets. I’m sophisticated enough to understand the lottery games are...at best...a tax on people who are dumb at maths. I have played any way, even though my understanding of combinations & permutations means winning unlikely.

My state is stupid to undermine the games with such undesirable features that invade my privacy & make me hate the process. So now, when I want to throw a little money away, I’ll go to one of the nearby casinos. Dumb, dumber, dumberer.
And other states like Colorado, the governments spend their lottery tax earnings on infrastructure that people can see...but not here. I’m done giving $ to Washington via the lottery.
