The iPad is up to date on software, but the app won't even open before it crashes back to my home screen. I've deleted it and reinstalled it multiple times, checked for software updates, and restarted the iPad 3 different times. What is the problem?

When my kid gets to the question, the options at the bottom just keep flashing and doesn't let him select an answer. Restarted the iPad, didn't work, switched to a different iPad, same issue. Is this a system wide bug?
