Mindbody x F45 Reviews

It is unfathomable that a company with such an amazing product and business has such complete garbage tech. MindbodyxF45 barely functions, if you can even get it to load at all. Features are constantly broken or have never worked and navigation is abysmal. For what we pay in memberships, and for a publicly traded, international company, this is unacceptable. Not to mention the jumble of disparate F45 apps is so confusing - F45 Life, Glofox, MindBody, F45 Challenge - none of them work, and they all conflict with each other. You guys are missing such a massive opportunity to have a best-in-class app that gives users rich metrics on performance (Lion Heart), progress, workout history, challenge/nutrition info, and integrations into third party apps for deeper fitness tracking. It’s so obvious, the only reasonable explanation is carelessness. I have been hearing about a new all-in-one app in development for over a year, but this experience gives me little to no hope that it will be any better or isn’t just vaporware. I’m a diehard member, and I just expect better.
I have used the mind body developed app for both Orangetheory and now F45. It has failed in both places. It is glitchy, inconsistent, and downright bad. The customer support is practically nonexistent. I can’t login, much less book classes, or track progress. We have been working on this for over a month with no success. The whole point of MindbodyxF45 is the convenience of accessing info and booking classes from your phone. Clearly the developers have missed the mark.
This company for signing has been an issue in any studio I’ve attended. Whatever program was in place prior is generally better from my past experience, and I have worked with membership programs behind the counter. I don’t know what incentive they give fitness studios to take their services over others, but it isn’t quality.
I just joined F45 after the 7 day trial. Downloaded MindbodyxF45 to book classes and it shows “Error Occurred” an unknown error occurred, please try again later. I been trying all day. Gave up and signed up via the website. Disappointed… with the amount of $$ a membership cost, I would expect a working application.
The new update makes you add the class to your calendar in order to sign up for it. I really don’t like this-very annoying. Also, in MindbodyxF45 it no longer highlights the class you’ve signed up for in blue. So, unless you go back and forth between MindbodyxF45 and your calendar, you don’t know if you have signed up for a class. I had no problems with MindbodyxF45 before the update.
Love f45 and their classes. The staff is amazing. Given the size of the company, MindbodyxF45 is very non-user friendly.
Things to improve upon:
1. Scheduling multiple classes at one time is not possible although, there is an option to “book multiple”
2. MindbodyxF45 loads very, very slow when trying to see the next day to book a class, let alone for the next several days or a week out
3. There were issues with booking more then one class where error messages were being displayed that enough “passes” were not purchased when one had an unlimited membership
4. The user interface depicting upcoming and previous classes does not appear to be easily displayed or understood.
I love my gym, the workouts, and the trainers but MindbodyxF45 is downright awful. It is now at the point that I am considering leaving the gym. The only
way to provide corporate feedback is via a Facebook message, which I did, and all I got was a canned response. I have wasted countless hours manually adding classes, logging in after it kicks me out, etc. I joined F45 because I am a busy working mom, yet I have to spend so much time troubleshooting MindbodyxF45 . MindbodyxF45 is crushing the F45 brand.
Literally can’t even sign in to this stupid app. What’s the point of having it if we can’t use it? LOL. Been an Orangetheory member for 5+ years and am doing a 3-month trial of F45 and this is not a great start to the experience. Never had problems like this with the orangetheory app.
I use the correct email and password and it says “Error Occurred. An unknown error occurred please try again.” I’ve uninstalled and re-installed MindbodyxF45 twice and same situation.
Absolute garbage app.
Workout is great though - just have to use your computer to sign up.
F45 classes are awesome. MindbodyxF45 , however, is a major source of frustration and doesn’t do justice to the organized and well-run workouts. It’s a serious strike against the brand. It’s probably a great tool, but I can’t attest to that because I’ve never been able to log in. I use the MindBody web browser instead which is also a terrible user experience. Please fix the log in issue and send an email to your client base to already us. I’m giving up on the suggested hacks of resetting my password or deleting and reinstalling MindbodyxF45 .
1. Please make it easier to book classes in advance. Scrolling for days and waiting for MindbodyxF45 to update to see 2 weeks in advance is really annoying.
2. Why does MindbodyxF45 crash randomly and ask me to sign in again?
3. Please be more professional in your release notes with complete sentences.
My app keeps telling me I have 4 notifications in red and then when I click MindbodyxF45 I have none. The bubble with the notifications big me because I hate that it makes it look like I have them when I don't
MindbodyxF45 was working smoothly for me when I first downloaded it earlier this summer (2022) and now (September 2022) it’s not loading MindbodyxF45 when I click on it to load. All I’m getting is the F45 open loading screen, even when I take it off wifi. I’m upset as I would like to book my classes as per usual, but with MindbodyxF45 not loading properly or at all, how is one to get into classes? Please fix!
This has happened at least 6 times as of today over 5 months. I am periodically signed out of MindbodyxF45 , then when I enter my login and password it says the information is incorrect and I have to create a new password. Very frustrating. Otherwise it does what I need: open and select class to book. This should be a VERY simple app.
I thought that I was the only one this was happening to…1. but after a few months MindbodyxF45 needs to be re-set or 2. it tells me the F45 gym I go to is closed. After it happened the second time, I called and was told that the gym was opened. F45 needs to check out MindbodyxF45 provider…
The Notifications page just comes up blank. And why remove the ability to see how many people are in the class I’m booked for? Even if I’m already booked, I want to see how many are in my class and how much space there might be for a friend. Now you just have to Cancel to see and then rebook. Weird.
I signed up for a year membership and was easy to book classes until today. Constantly have to refresh the page for anything to update.
Definitely room for significant improvements.
Our gym went from F45 Glofox to MindbodyxF45 and I do not like it at all. Difficult to maneuver, doesn’t allow to sync to google calendar, sends a text with every booking & cant figure out how to turn it off. Not a user friendly app by any means.
I was looking for a way to share an enhancement with the developer but the link they provided Apple is a dead link. If you are traveling and in a time zone different from your gym, when MindbodyxF45 places the reminder on your calendar it places it in the local time zone and not the gym’s time zone.
App crash when I click schedule from profile. Try to debug with low internet connection
Love F45.
Love the easy sign up for classes.
Love heart rate monitor.
Class descriptions on app make no sense and don’t describe the class at all. They read more like a tarot card and don’t set expectations at all.
Today was foxtrot and the description was:
Back to basics in this tough, military style resistance system. Expect to rest, chitchat, or leave dry. Fox trot is an EPIC CARDIO adventure.
What if should say is:
CARDIO: Heavy
WEIGHTS: Medium
BODY FOCUS: (descriptions)
12 (4 sets each) stations combining......(listing some sort of real description)
UPDATE:
Looks like you guys made these changes whether you were already working on them or whether was my advice. I am grateful.
Next recommendations:
1. on the videos in class, it would be extremely helpful if there was some emphasis on what muscle group or particular areas you should be pushing. For example, on squats, there could be some graphics that indicate pressure down and pushing through the heels.
2. Why are the points and heart rate monitors on the back wall and not on the front where there are more visible?
