    Thief!

    We stay in Alila resort uluwatu t, I call a driver pick my friend up since I am using the hotel van. My friend didn’t speak Indonesian, so we order a go-car to pick them up from Alila to a restaurant. The app says the price is below Rp. 50 thousand, but the driver asks my friend to pay Rp. 300 thousand. My friend call me to asks why he is charging more than what the app said, when I speak to the driver, he said because Go-jek doesn’t cover Uluwatu area, so either we pay up or he will drop my friend on the side of the road. I complaint to the customer service but no action was taken. They said they talk to the driver and the driver said he didn’t charge us more (we pay in cash since we don’t have Indonesian e-payment). We are staying in a hotel that costs Rp. 10 million per night, they think we will lie to them just for a 2 hundred thousand Rupiah. No action was taken. Do not use this service! Use Grab instead, much much cleaner and better service. DO NOT USE THIS APP! YOU WILL BE TAKEN HOSTAGE! Use “grab”, Trust me!

    Didn’t take action to THIEF driver!

    I use go car every day. Most of the drivers are nice. But one day i fell asleep on the car and the driver stole my phone and cash from my bag! I didn’t notice until i get off the car. Then I report this situation to Go Jek immediately. At the meantime, I use “Find my iPhone” to track my lost phone and screenshot every 5 mins. So later I can compare it with Go Car’s record of this driver to prove he took the phone with him. I’m so sure the driver took it because it’s not only my phone, but also all the cash from my wallet. This is very urgent to me! I keep contacting Go Jek cust service but no one can really update me their process! I’m so angry right now because they still allow this DANGEROUS person to take cust! You have his name, ID, phone no and car plate no. Why don’t you do something?!

    Must have for tourist in Bali

    The app is excellent. It delivers a fair set price for a taxi ride. The freelance taxi drivers in Bali shamelessly overcharge bewildered tourists and this app will allow you to level the playing field. They are accustomed to preying on tourists and will constantly harry you. Just tell them you use Gojek and they will leave you alone. It’s easy to order food or necessities to any destination. For example, if sunscreen has been forgotten, you can have it delivered to the beach. I have used it for a week and it has become invaluable to me. I am still exploring the potential. It’s possible to buy tickets and do online money transfer. It’s a remarkable tool. Better than WeChat in China. Any language barriers can be easily overcome with google translate. I recommend downloading the Indonesian dictionary in google translate to facilitate translation when you are in tight bandwidth situations. .

    Too much notifications from GO-FOOD

    GO-JEK services are getting better now, and their application is getting better overtime. But still occasionally hard to find nearby driver in rainy day even thought I see lots of them nearby. My only concern right now is that the application send too many push notifications especially GO-FOOD promotion. There’s no way to turn of this, but if I completely turn of push notification, I won’t get any notification if I order something. Please remove the promotional push notification or have option to turn it of. I can always check my apps to see any promotion.

    Totally Unprofessional

    What a nightmare! After setting up an account I began to receive unwanted marketing emails from GoJack. None of the newsletters have an unsubscribe link like they should in the footer. So, I went to their website customer support area hoping to find a way to email a request to be removed from their mailing lists. They have NO phone numbers or email addresses in their Contact Us section - only physical addresses. Apparently, if someone wants to contact Ho Jack, they must physically go in person! Then from another online search I found the customer service email and mailed a request for my email address to be removed from all/any mailing lists. The customer service rep replied that she was sorry but they cannot do that and they cannot delete my account. I tried to reply multiple times that there had to be a way to remove my email address. The last response from BlowJack was that I needed to go into my mail program and block their email address!!!!! I am amazed at the unbelievably dismal levels of customer service and overall lack of professionalism.

    Epic! (Except for the pointless points)

    Having used this app in Bali for 5 years, it deserves a 5-star rating from me! In my experience, it’s an invaluable resource for convenient transportation and ordering anything anytime, from electricity to es kelapa. One gripe: Go-Points used to be worthwhile but now they are pointless. I should have redeemed an awesome offer last year because now it’s so stingy with the points and puts an expiration date on them. No one wants points anyway! The new offerings are either so lackluster or totally unattainable without a zillion points. Not always perfect, I agree with other reviewers that say GoJEK can be particularly problematic for tourists. Familiarity with your location and a working knowledge of Indonesian go a long way to ensure expectations are met. Miscommunication can cause annoying situations for both sides. Please GO-JEK responsibly.

    If GoJek fall to pit of corporate greed than it will absolutely loss its place as one of Southeast Asia juggernaut competitor to grab monopoly in the region, I highly recommend the company to integrate international MC and Visa cards to the app system and have the same accessibility of Uber (one of my favorite) , GoJek is going neck on neck with Grab by making their prices cheaper , it’s a fair game and I think if the same policy continues they will topple Southeast Asia giant (grab) and become #1 In summary:- 1- Prices 2- new system that integrates international Credit Cards Cheers

    Worthless for food delivery in Ulamas

    I downloaded this app before our trip to Bali. Tonight, I tried to order food twice. Both times the drivers called to tell me the restaurant I ordered from was closed. Bad luck? More like bad business model. Rather than verifying the order with the restaurant, this app relies on the driver to place the order once they arrive at the restaurant. I’m all for mechanical turking, but two failures back to back means it’s broken at the source. I give the drivers full marks for calling me to explain the situation and to offer to fill the order in a different restaurant, but without access to the menu, that’s not helping. Try something else, for this is broken by design.

    Cannot find driver for long journey

    GO-JEK is good for short journeys under 10 minutes, but for long journeys it is hard to find a driver, as drivers will accept and then cancel the job once they realize how far it is. I live 30 minutes from my work, it usually takes me 30-45 minutes to find a driver because they all cancel. Makes the total journey time more than double!!! once you take into account the time spent trying to find a driver who wants the job. GO-JEK should punish the drivers who cancel, because they don’t seem to care about it, and also increase the fare for longer journeys, so that the drivers actually want to accept them!

    Very good app

    I really think Go-Jek is an amazing concept with how robust it’s services are. Usually a very pleasant experience. Unfortunately several of the cars have a pretty strong smoke smell covered up by air freshener. I would rate higher except the app still has glitches to work out. It booked 3 rides for me the other day and that was confusing. Also said a car was coming once but didn’t show up to the driver. Work out the glitches and will be pretty solid gold

    Malfunctions!

    I ordered go-food and the order disappeared, so after a while of trying I assumed the driver must have cancelled and I ordered again. This order also disappeared, at which time I realized the app was malfunctioning. I paid the first driver and had him call the second driver to cancel, because I did not have any pulsa to call on my phone. However, the second driver still came and was very upset because I did not have enough money to pay. Then, when I tried to click “need help” on the application, that function wouldn’t work either! I think that Grab is a much better application after this experience.

    Gojek banjarmasin!

    Thanks to driver gocar who r very nice to me and the service was good. This app really helpful, but sometimes is really bad when the driver gocar picked me up on airport and suddenly someone push my driver really hard from back, then i realized he is convention driver.. he hate every online driver who picked cust on airport, they said airport it was they area.. its not fair, i think every single people in this world had they own future..

    Too many intrusive notifications ads

    This app would be good, if not for the constant intrusive push notifications ads. Seriously. It gives so many notifications *cough* ads *cough* throughout the day. At first, I don’t want to turn off notification in iOS setting because then it wouldn’t give me notification when my driver pick my order up. But it become annoying to a point that I turn off the notification in iOS setting then start using rival apps (the rival is not as annoying as this app). So, keep your intrusive ads down, folks!

    Go-Jek go bike

    So I can only speak for the motor bike pick up and drop off.. super convenient and best way to get around for someone like me who wasn’t confident on the bikes and knowing directions. The people have been super nice, great drivers and never asked for more than what was shown on the app. I also tip and it is the best deal. I’m so thankful for this app, especially In Canggu where no one walks!

    GoPay Shenanigans

    You ask your drivers to keep promoting gopay and conduct gasifications on them to see who got more customers to purchase GoPay. And when the customer uses gopay, only few drivers who are willing to accept the gopay use and asking the customer for cash instead. This is a systemic problem that you should be responsible instead of milking customers’ money and putting the blame on your drivers. Also I can no longer complaint about my drivers (mostly GoCar drivers who are rude, unprofessional, and keep asking for cash by the pretext of “my phone cant take gopay”)
