My relative likes her this app. I like this iPad app. But for 2 months I couldn’t upload photos from my iPhone, since the iPhone app was stuck half-logged-in. Deleting, restarting phone, & reinstalling didn’t help. One agent suggested I try uninstalling latest version of iOS. 🙄 Sixth or seventh call to support, I finally got an agent who sent a new invite, walked me through, & told where the log out button was (settings, scroll to the bottom). Problem solved. Oddly, iPhone app support comes from their partner, Consumer Cellular, which provides my relative’s this app’s cell service, but not mine.

My mom is 87 and has no experience with technology. I was concerned about her during and not being able to have visitors. It has been the best thing. She is hard of hearing and can hear better on GrandPad instead of the phone.
The only thing I would suggest is to contact customer service before purchasing so they can check the signal. The device I got was preloaded with T-mobile and there was no signal where my mom lives. I called customer service and they found ATT had a very strong signal so they sent a new SIM card and it has worked great. She ended up in the hospital a week after she got this and it has been great to check on her and be able to see her. We also love being able to send her pictures. She enjoys the games and articles as well.
And the customer service reps are amazing!

With crazy COVID we cannot see our mom. She’s 91 years old and cannot navigate the modern cell phone, too confusing. The aides in her memory care unit helped her answer and make phone calls for the first week. Last night she called her son and his family all on her own!! “I love my this app” she exclaimed. She said that after we hang up she’s going to try listening to music.
Equally as impressive is the support from the this app staff. It’s so nice to call and speak with agents that are helpful with a very pleasant demeanor. No question is too silly!

I got a this app for my mom over 2 years ago and it’s a god send. Mom was recently hospitalized and is now in rehab. This makes it much easier to contact the people she loves! You do need someone to control the account but the tech support folks are very nice and the unit comes packaged with a set of flash cards on a handy ring to help. The unit’s dock is very easy to handle so charging isn’t an issue. Best purchase I’ve made for mom hands down!

Our extended family lives throughout the country and my in-laws do not get to travel to see family very often. We purchased a this app for them and I encouraged all of the kids and grandkids to install the companion app. It has been amazing, not only for my in-laws, but for all of us as we are all able to share photos and updates about what is going on in our lives, even though we are thousands of miles apart!

I bought the this app for my mom as a way to help her feel less isolated during this awful pandemic. She is a woman who has never owned a computer or knows how to work one. But the this app is so user friendly that she quickly came to love viewing all the photos and videos that I and my siblings have posted and continue to post. She stays updated about her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She also uses it as a phone and likes to video chat with it which enables her to see her loves of her life. Although, she doesn’t use all the features that the this app has to offer, she seems very satisfied with it. My siblings and I enjoy it immensely as well as it keeps us all in touch as to what is happening in each other’s lives.

The grandpa is so amazing for my 96 year old mom . She has been using it for several years and can communicate better than in person , see all her children , grandchildren , great grandchildren and all her relative with it . It’s easy for her to use . You need more advertisement every older person should have one of these better than a phone!! My mom uses it everyday and the photo gallery is great too.

We got the this app right as the Pandemic started. It has made all the difference for my parents. I totally recommend this for anyone who has older family members, as it is easy to use and keeps them connected to ONLY the prole they need to be connected with. I like that we get to choose who can contact them and who they can contact. No annoying messages or spam calls. Thank you for creating this product!!

This has been the best product for my mom and dad to see pics of their great grand babies. My mom is so pleased with this. I am truly happy to be able to share pictures of everything. Her ability to search recipes and other things is amazing. I would highly recommend GrandPad to everyone with an older family member. Thank you for such an excellent app and product. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

We purchased the first this app in Jan 2020 when our mom’s dementia started progressing, and she would forget how to use a cell phone. This is so simple to use, and being able to videochat and send pictures is a Godsend. When Covid-19 hit, we purchased another for our dad in a nursing home. Now we are connected as a family—all the siblings use our iPhones and GrandPad to keep in touch with Mom and Dad. God bless you for this product, it has meant the world to us during quarantine.

My mother seems happier since receiving her this app. She is really enjoying seeing all the pictures posted from family members. I was surprised and happy that she was actually able to make a video call on it! But since then she doesn’t know how to get the buttons back to look at the new Pictures I posted. Hopefully she will become more proficient over time and enjoy all it has to offer.

Our mom is 93 and has 5 children 15 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren and a set of twin boys to start the great great grandchildren! She uses the this app everyday to see the pictures that everyone sends her. We haven’t been able to show her a lot of other sections because of COVID. I believe that this not only keeps her involved in what we are doing but our whole family is more in touch as we share what we are doing. It has been a great bridge for us all. She has no trouble operating it even at 93. It surprises me when she says “Let’s see if there are any updates!”

The this app is a tablet size device that connects family and friends to their loved one. The buttons for photos, weather, games, music, etc are large and easy to tap to open with the stylus or a finger. As administrator, I uploaded the this app app to my phone and then invited family and friends to join mom’s feed. Once they did, mom could tap a person’s photo to call them or we could call her. Each person can send photos to the this app which keep mom informed. I only wish we had known about the this app 10-15 years ago.

GrandPad has not only connected us deeper with our grandma, it has brought our family closer as well! We can all post pictures of our daily lives and comment on each others photos. My grandma uses her this app constantly and said that she checks on our pictures every day. This has been so good for all of us. It is very straight forward and easy for my grandma to use even though she is 94 and is not up to date with technology. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that wants to give their family members the gift of entertainment and connection.

She fought us on getting it but once she saw it and started playing around in it and learning it has been the best thing we could do for her. We got it right after Covid hit. She is a social butterfly and always helping and volunteering so being home so much more has been hard on her. The this app has made it so much better for her not to feel isolated. We programmed everyone’s contact info in advance of giving it to her. She’s in contact with all my siblings and the adult and young grandkids. She loves it! At 83 she said she would never want something happen like it, but she is so glad we got it for her. Easy to use for seniors! Highly recommend!

We got one for parents who are long distance, visually impaired and not at all tech savvy. Sent it ready to go out of box and they were connected with us instantly- best Christmas present ever!! So simple to use and they get to join in to every day life as Grandkids post photos or take them on video tours of what they’re up to.(they’ve gone ice fishing, visited college, walks with the dogs and toured first apartments!) I also work in a nursing home and many families have gotten them for residents. It’s great because it works on either cell or WiFi. It has helped improve the moods of many getting updated photos delivered, playing games or just video chatting at will.

My father, now 83, absolutely loves his this app. He has had it for about 3 years now. I check his usage and it’s always dark green. My father has lost most of his hearing but he reads lips fairly well. We live in different states so it’s so nice to hear from him and see him on the video chats. I write emails to him and he sends audio emails back to me. Unfortunately he is now in a nursing home—but he still uses his this app! When he gets anxious he plays the games and it takes his mind off of things. He especially loves the pictures family members post. The this app helps him stay connected and not as lonely. I would highly recommend this app to anyone.

We bought this app well before the pandemic. Tommy lives with 6 other men in a group home for individuals who are intellectually disabled. Originally, we bought it because he is extremely hard of hearing and this was the first device that fit his hearing needs. We quickly discovered that it was so much more than a phone!

The video calls have been our only way to see our son since March. During our calls, I cook dinner while Tommy “helps” me. We work a jig saw puzzle, or pick veggies from the garden. Tommy feels like he is with us during these calls, and we get to keep an eye on how he is doing.

The easy to use photo section, music, radio, and games are excellent for our son. He often sends us voice emails!

Many of the this app customer service workers know Tommy when he calls for assistance. They could not be sweeter!!

We are so grateful to have this device for our son! Thank you very much for the recent addition of radio. During this pandemic many folks are very isolated and lonely. Without the this app I don’t know what we would do.

I am so happy that this app is available. When my 92 year old grandma had to put her dog to sleep, and then Covid19 brought on social distancing, I worried about my grandma being lonely. I had seen this app advertised on Consumer Cellulars website and I took a chance. My grandma now gets photos from her immediate family and extended family, video chats with us, and thoroughly enjoys playing Bingo that’s a preloaded game. As the administrator, I am able to see how often she’s using it and I must say she’s using it much more than I would have ever imagined. I wish the service were a little cheaper, but I’m happy because she doesn’t have internet so this way she’s able to stay connected with all of us. So happy to bring a little joy to her life. Thanks this app.

The this app is a wonderful product. It is very user friendly. The customer service is so helpful, efficient, patient and friendly. This product has brought so much life and happiness to my mother-in-law. She connects by video with her family every day. Connecting with her great-granddaughter everyday brings her so much joy! It also has user friendly music, news and other apps. I highly recommend this product. It is awesome for the user and they are always safe, their administrator (family member) controls contacts and settings.

GrandPad is horrible. The whole point is to “easily” share photos and videos with family, but you can’t upload a 15 second video and you can only upload a few pictures at a time. It’s absolutely miserable to use. It takes forever to share anything.

Takes forever to upload anything (it’s not on my end, I’ve tried from various networks). Shameful to charge people, particularly seniors, for such lagging service. And it freezes all the time.

There should be easy tutorials for both mom in Minnesota and me in California. I’m not sure if she is learning how to use it or not. Plus on my end I really don’t know how to do anything but send her a picture. I feel a little lost.

I have to uninstall and reinstall GrandPad at least twice since my relative connected in June 2019. It works for a month or so then it drops and freezes the video call. Consumer Cellular then sends you the same link used to reinstall. Can someone look into this issue? I have an iPhone having this issue.

We have been using for many years, but it’s time to upgrade functionality. Need to integrate video chat. Others are going to overtake your niche in short order if they haven’t already done so. We are thinking of switching; for that and the cost is pricing itself out of the market.

We are really enjoying the this app—both the family and my mother! Our family is spread across the country and GrandPad will help to keep us connected every day. It is easy to set up and intuitive for my mom to use. Our family has always tried to stay current with each other's lives, but as our large family has gotten larger this app came into our lives just at the right time to make it easier. It's given us a life line to each other lives. Most importantly it's brought all of us into my Mom's daily life. Mom is connected in ways we never saw coming... Videos and Video calls to and from the great grand kids and daily pictures. Mom sends us emails and pictures to share her life with us. Mom doesn't miss a thing to do with family. She would fight anyone who tried to take her this app away from her!!!

My grandpa never owned a computer, and communication only got tougher as the rest of the world went forward and he stayed behind in technology. However, when he got a this app, it was like he jumped all the way back up into the modern age - now he's emailing, video calling, playing games and streaming videos from a tablet just like anyone else. He's staying connected with family in a way I never thought he could. The secret: this app is designed specifically for seniors. It seems simple to him yet he can do so much. This product really caters to people like my grandpa. I highly recommend it.
