Either GrowItThePlantCommunity has a bug or there is some other issue. In order to use GrowItThePlantCommunity i tried registering for an account but after filling out all the fields GrowItThePlantCommunity wouldn’t light up the “next” button for me to proceed to the next step in registration. I tried re-creating passwords and usernames but still couldn’t proceed. Facebook was the only other option i was given to proceed in creating a new account. I don't have Facebook, can’t proceed to use app, app is therefore useless. Would give zero stars if I could!

I’m not completely sure how old GrowItThePlantCommunity is, but it just...didn’t want to work. First it wouldn’t let me sign up with my Facebook (even though it apparently had, since that email was unavailable for me to use when I tried to create an account) but then GrowItThePlantCommunity itself was unmanageable. The map’s radius automatically corrected itself back to 75 miles after I reopened GrowItThePlantCommunity and it wouldn’t post my plants. After I picked the picture, it would just open back to the feed page and my plant wouldn’t show up. Hopefully these are all just bugs and it’ll get fixed and GrowItThePlantCommunity will be what it should be.

As someone who has never grown a plant but wants to get in to it, I think it’d be useful to have some kind of planning/preparation feature, where you can do research on what kind of plants you might want to have and the care you would have to give it before you actually go get the plant. You can kind of do that with your projects, but only if you add someone else’s plant. As far as I can tell, you can’t search or view an index of plants and their care. I’d love to see something like that in the future!

Also, I was testing out the “add plant” feature, and took a random photo and labeled it some random plant to see how it worked, but now I can’t seem to delete it: the “delete plant” button doesn’t work. So now I have a random photo of my apartment on my profile :(

I absolutely love GrowItThePlantCommunity....but I hate how frustrated I feel when I use it. For example I just clicked on my person icon at the bottom of the home page. I clicked and clicked and nothing happened. When I finally got it to open it said someone was following one of my projects. I went to click on the project and GrowItThePlantCommunity closed. Ugh!!! I wish GrowItThePlantCommunity worked better. It could be so enjoyable, but for me there are waaayyy too many technical problems to enjoy GrowItThePlantCommunity . Please please work the bugs out of GrowIt!!

Love the idea but there’s plenty more room to grow. 🌿 I’m an iPhone user (ios13 on an iPhone 7) and all my uploaded pictures appear to have turned sideways on my end. I don’t know if others see it the same. Not much response after creating a post, and I realize I had reposted something 3 times after the fact after thinking the page wasn’t loading.

Love it and leave it counts are not counted on the user plants page- you can only see them if you are on the page for the individual plant

- Error message when trying to make a private project public

-Profile picture is stretched

-Selecting projects under profile shows “your plant has been added”

-Cannot see text box while typing a comment

I would like to see...The ability to add your own title to an image with the plant name as subtitle, or otherwise add your own caption (separate from a comment)

It’s a nice idea for an app but there’s consistent bugs and options within GrowItThePlantCommunity that just do not work as they should. For example, the GrowIt “growards” don’t register for myself and other users on GrowItThePlantCommunity , despite completing tasks that should cause the user to get the “growards”. It also loads a bit slow and sometimes crashes. Still, it’s an interesting platform and it’s one of the few apps specifically for gardeners/plant enthusiasts to share information.

I was excited to use this but it keeps giving errors or force quitting when I try to add new content to the projects section or refreshing the activity page. I felt like it was just me because I noticed new projects being added so I tried running updates, logging out & back in, erasing & redownloading, restarting my phone, etc.. all with no success. Bummer..

I keep getting this msg when I attempt to make a project public. And all my projects are staying in private mode I spent a few hrs. uploading photos and adding descriptions of plants. I really hope this can be fixed, I enjoy GrowItThePlantCommunity because I can share what my family and I have grown and get feedback on our garden.

GrowItThePlantCommunity is great for gardening community! However you are slow to receive answers to your questions if you live in a less populated area like I do. You should be able to turn the location factor on and off so that many people can see your posts and you can see many other peoples posts! I don’t like that the photos are cropped differently than when you choose when posting them and you should be able to add more than one photo per post. But over all GrowItThePlantCommunity is great! PLEASE fix the location thing though. I think you will find that users are more active when they can see more posts than just the few in their area.

GrowIt is one of my favorite apps. I enjoy learning and sharing my knowledge with the plant and gardening community and everyone in there is awesome. It gets buggy sometimes, that’s why I didn’t rate it 5 stars. I also suggest they update the database to include all plant varieties and species as well as current name changes/classifications etc. If you like plants, learning, and interacting, I definitely recommend GrowItThePlantCommunity.

GrowItThePlantCommunity has been so much fun to be a part of over the last few years! They have really done well taking constructive feedback from users, rewarding its users with swag and plants, and providing a community for all levels of gardeners to help each other in one big supportive community! Novice to Master Gardener, there is something in here for everyone who dabbles in the dirt.

Love GrowItThePlantCommunity but I haven’t gotten any of my GroWards points even though I am active and have done many of the things to earn them. Also, I can’t make my projects public. When I try a message comes up and says oops we can’t do that right now or something like that

I use GrowItThePlantCommunity to log in my perennials into projects. I can’t wait to log in my historic iris next year that I purchased this past summer. As I grow in my abilities, so does GrowItThePlantCommunity. I even got a surprise box with rose moss seed and Lilly bulbs one time for my activity. Use GrowItThePlantCommunity to organize and track history on your plants if you want to with pictures and descriptions. I can’t wait until the next update!

I recommend GrowItThePlantCommunity 5 stars! GrowItThePlantCommunity is great! Not only does the community help identify your new plant. Grow it tells you all the specifics about it. They always have new giveaways as well. Plant masters is awesome too!! I’ve already received a shirt, 4 plants and a baby onesie for my son!! I have been on GrowItThePlantCommunity since 2015. By far it’s the best I’ve ever joined!! Forget about Facebook groups this is where it’s at!

What better way to be able to connect and exchange gardening questions with people all around the world! I love that you can ask questions and show off your hard work as well as maybe learn about a plant or two that doesn’t live in your area! Great app!!
