They have horrific customer service they offered me a free thermostat that wasn’t free and put me in an program that I knew nothing about and charged me for it each month. Thermostat isn’t free they go up on your bill once get it. Then if you struggle paying the bill they shut the thermostat off wickedness. Do not accept any free thermostat not free. They will charge you for it in your bill. This company is wicked they control your thermostat as well so they put your stuff on what they want it on this will cause you to get sick of heat exhaustion in summer time or hypothermia in the winter time. What a wicked company. I hope this company goes out of business for being so wicked. Then since I live in Berkeley looks like I’m paying Berkeley bill from Berkeley foolishness. All these charges and we are paying for energy efficient charges for what I didn’t tell them to charge me for that foolishness who asked them to put that charge on my bill who is it helping not me it’s putting me in more debt.

Ameren has been awfully infested of bugs, lags, glitches since I’ve downloaded about 3 years ago. Most times I’ve attempted to use and sign in, it has not allowed me to log in inside app or even open app sometimes. This obviously defeats the purpose and effort behind Ameren for the users and developers. It’s always been worth the hassle of busting out the ole laptop to pay bills or check usage unfortunately. Thanks for trying.

If you want to pay your bill using Ameren , you may have some use for it but other than that this app’s upgrade/ updated to both their website and app has less information about your account. The one thing I miss is comparing my current bill to last years bill. Now you can only compare your current bill to last months bill. Which is stupid.

Multiple times Ameren completely resets. I have to relight in to my account through a website and then reset up my facial ID.
This is getting really old. I should not have to religion in with my password and be directed to another website every time I want to log in. My account is already set up and with facial Id. I should never have to do more than that to see my account at this point.

If you need an app where something goes wrong more than right, then this thing is for you. Tried using it 6 times so far to get access to my three metered acounts and it has only worked twice. Most of the time it says something went wrong and it is not able to bring up data. Well, what good is it then? Honestly. Just delete the stupid thing.

Ameren has frustrated me in the past when it asks me to set up Face ID each time I login. I always set it up and then it doesn’t allow me to use it when I login. It then proceeds to ask me if I want to set up Face ID once login.

The set up and flow of Ameren is really good. I had to give this 2 stars because I use apps for making payments on all of my bills for convenience and speed. I had to submit 8 different times before my payment went through. Ameren kept timing out and say “something went wrong” which was not related to my payment information. A transaction that should have taken less than a minute took 10 minutes to finally go through which is not ideal.

You should be able after almost 3.5 hours of no power to give us SOME kind of timeframe in when we can expect something … no one wants to start up generators to run their house if it’s not needed !!! Do better with timeframes around power outages.

Good for reporting outages and tracking them but I’ve never been able to actually log in

I wish it would tell me my full total and not just what is due also wish it would look more like the webpage , not just a app and that I didn’t have to pay 2$ to use my dam credit card 🙄

Clearest & easiest ultility app I have - loads and processes fast.
Text alerts remind me when account due.

This application was inoperable back in January 2021, today, the this app app is all you can hope for this utility. Good job 👍🏽‼️

Just to even launch Ameren it spins and spins. I cannot believe they have not invested in creating something customers can actually use. Apps are a dime a dozen and a kid could probably create an app for this app that works better than this one does. I shouldn’t have to work so hard to pay my bill. I have to choose a star rating in order to submit the review, but I reluctantly had to choose 1 Star.

Ameren hardly ever works. For one, it’s so slow and needs major updating. I finally navigate to the right page to pay my bill, and more times than not it says “application error, please try back later.” I’m just trying to pay bills on time and Ameren that’s supposed to make it easier, only makes it harder and more frustrating. Please update your app!!

What happened to Ameren when I first got it it was fast smooth and reliable. It made Pay My Bill a breeze. Recently in the last few months I am unable to log into Ameren or really use it for anything. It never had a lot of bells and whistle‘s but it worked well I’ve tried deleting it and reinstalling it it just sits there and loads and loads and loads but never logs in. I don’t know what happened seriously needs to be updated. Or I’ll Just permanently delete it

I haven’t been able to access my account through Ameren for several months, but have been able to access through my computer until recently. Now every time I try to log in through my computer it does the same thing Ameren does and just keeps me on a loading screen forever. I have to change my password every time I log in through my computer just to get into my account to avoid the loading screen.

For several months I have had trouble in logging in, would time out and I would have to start over. Now I can’t pay my bill, logged in (after 3 attempts). Go to pay my bill and get error message, after 4 attempts, I installed the new version, same thing. Currently don’t have a computer, so I guess it is going to be regular mail.

Still can’t log in even after this recent update

One of the worst apps, even with the recent upgrade, not even worthy of 1 star. It shows minimal informal so I still need to log into the full website.....which usually shows an error message about needing to upgrade the browser. It’s hard to find things. I am getting alerts that I didn’t sign up for and I have yet to figure out how to change the notification settings. Unbelievably sloppy work on this one this app. I hope your meter reading technology is more reliable than this dumpster fire of an app.

I have never been able to login. It won’t let me reset a password either. This has to be the biggest waste of money ever spent on an app.

The update is sooo stupid don’t get why they had to change it all up. Have redo your password, now have to write down your account number and then call them to pay over the phone without having to put your account info in . But before the update it was 10x easier just clicking debit/credit or account set payment and going on from there and having all your info right there unlike now having to call over the phone making sure you have your account number n all that . GO BACK TO BEFORE !!!

Even with the recent update Ameren is still clunky to use, lacks a modern and consistent UX and UI theme, and is missing useful features from the website like usage data.
-Buttons are sized way too large in some instances which the user may accidentally press easily like “Remove Account” and “Report Outage”
- Adding Face ID for login is very simple to integrate these days but is also still missing
-The weather status in the top right corner is completely useless, everyone has a weather app on their phone, waste of screen real estate. Same thing with the this app logo, size it down a little bit.
- Really all of the menus and buttons are way to big and spread out, Ameren reminds me of the original Jitterbug cell phone, sizing text and images is a setting on the iPhone, let the user handle it!

Ameren has not worked correctly for several months. I use to be able to check outages and pay my bill through Ameren however the last three months it will not even login properly. I have had to go to the website to login to pay my bill.
I know my user name and password are correct because I can login on the website. It’s frustrating and not worth having it on my phone.

Decent app, but lacks some vital features such as seeing usage per day. For example: on the this app website you can see your daily usage and compare with daily temperatures as well as other metrics. It would be beneficial to see those here as well.

Furthermore, Ameren runs relatively slow. Loading times between destinations within Ameren are long.

However, it is a convenient way to view and pay your bill if you do not have auto payments established. It is a decent start to a mobile platform, but could certainly use some upgrades.

I had a lot of trouble signing in, then read where they changed the log in to an email address. I set it all up, but still couldn’t log in on my phone’s app. It just froze up. I realized I had to delete my app and reinstall it and then it gave the updated version. Works perfect now.

Ameren works well but I have a few suggestions for improvements. It needs a back button so you can go to a previous page. It also needs a refresh button on the Outage Page.

Wish it supported iPhone 6 resolution, is a little blurry as is.

Other than that, it's easy to view and pay your bill which is all I really need Ameren to do.
