I had a really bad experience last night after arranging a booking in this app from Gatwick Airport in London. My family was arriving in the country for the first time on a late flight at Gatwick from JFK last night and our experience with Airport 24x7, and by extension Taxicode , was terrible. First of all the driver arrived 30 minutes late for a scheduled 11:35pm booking. When calling the telephone number provided, the man who answered the phone told me that the driver was only 5 minutes away. Clearly this was false. When the driver finally contacted me at 11:46 PM he then informed me that he couldn’t meet me at the taxi stand but I should go to some drop off point in the airport. Upon arrival after midnight, the driver then informs me that he doesn’t have room for 3 passengers and our luggage and that he can’t refund my payment. So I was forced to send my family along in the car while I had to fend for myself back to London from Gatwick. Taxicode did not allow me to see what I had originally requested to dispute this driver and the heavily accented manager that the driver called up after arriving 30 minutes late, nor did I have any adequate recourse or assistance when the effective gypsy cab driver shows up. I might have saved some money with the service but I will never use it again.
I put full address details and travel requirements into the website and they were removed when sent to the taxi company, so I had to provide them again. I could register with Taxicode as it would not accept a US mobile phone number. App is not much use.
I ordered a taxi and never got a confirmation. I called the company 10 minutes before the taxi was supposed to show up and was assured that the taxi was on its way. I then call 10 minutes after the taxi was supposed to show up and nobody picket up, so I ordered an Uber (and barely made it to my destination in time). In the meantime, I was charged for the taxi that never showed up (and got charged twice for what Uber charge me). Seems like this device is a scam.
When you go to book a taxi with them it only asks for a postal (stop) code number not an address. They tried to tell me they showed up the next morning but neither me nor the hotel folks could find them and we even searched the street where some taxis would go because of the postal stop. No one was there. I tried to call but couldn’t get through to their posted phone number. I found out later they’re not based in the UK.
Someone spammed my phone from four different phone numbers with a WhatsApp link but no information on who they were or why they were spamming so I blocked the numbers. Turns out this company uses WhatsApp to contact me even though I paid them an extra £1.50 to text me directly. Then it turns out they went ahead and marked the taxi ride as completed and charged me even though they showed up at the wrong place and didn’t ask for other information on the form.
They even charged me twice for a car that wasn’t there! And they knew it was only one charge because they only responded to one review out of two I posted on their site. Interesting huh? I wasn’t even able to cancel they had “completed” it so fast.
I sent a 1 star review on their site and they “investigated” (which really means they asked the cab driver if they showed up) and never asked me a thing, nor did they respond to my email inquiries. Pretty shifty and nearly $230 in charges for a cab my family and I didn’t receive.
Our driver did not show up and provided phone numbers did not work. My app account proved inaccessible so resolution was not possible and we had to cancel our excursion for the day.

It was very easy to order and pay. We went from our hotel to Gare du Nord. The driver was early, didn't rush us and was very pleasant.
We had the best service possible. Taxicode worked seamlessly unlike the others. Our driver was on time, pleasant and went above and beyond to assist. We were going to two terminals and he made sure we were able to navigate smoothly. I highly recommend.
I went through the website for the booking but the service is great, a nice car, good driver, good price. Would do it again.
