The sleep IQ technology rarely works for tracking and measuring my sleep. More often than not, the tracker says that I’m in bed for like 16 hours when i was actually in bed for 7. It will often show that I’m currently in bed and it’s tracking my sleep whenever I am out of bed and looking at the app. There’s no way for me to troubleshoot this. When we got a new router, I failed to get back online. I tried everything the internet told me to do without success. When I finally had time to call customer service after work, I was on the phone for an hour. I had to make sure the bed was plugged in, unplug it for 20 seconds and plug it back in, shut down my Apple Watch, make sure nothing else was connected to my Bluetooth, connect to the 2.4 rather than the 5g, change my password on my router, change the name of my router to all one word, no spaces or punctuation- to finally get connected. The gentleman assisting me said that there is a list of routers that are incompatible with the sleep number bed, but luckily this wasn’t my issue. The app or website should have this disclaimer. I would also think that the troubleshooting screen should have all of these requirements listed clearly for customers so they don’t have to waste 30 minutes on hold and another 30 minutes on the phone talking to an unenthused employee. We spent nearly $10,000 on our bed and I expect to have awesome technology, app and customer service with a product that actually works all of the time.

First off let me say that I love sleep number beds. So much that I upgraded and bought a second one. This is not a review on the beds this is a review in the app. And sleepIQ in general. I discovered that once you put in your email address to use sleepIQ you cannot remove it, therefore there is no resale value in sleepIQ, secondly upon getting a new bed you cannot use the same sleepIQ information carrying over to the second, and this is due to the fact you cannot use the same email address to set up an account for the second. So if you upgraded like I did be prepared to create a new email address specifically for the bed information.
All that aside though in the app it can tell you asleep vs awake, that information does not transfer to the health app in iOS, the only information transferred over is “not n bed.” This is truly disappointing on a number of levels. There are applications that sit on the night stand next to the bed that can send information in separate chunks and have it register in the separate categories. For a company that is making money hand over fist in their beds (again comfortable as they are) they are claiming amazing features that is using technology from the early 90’s and the beginnings of the internet. Listen the app can control the bed via Bluetooth and via same network internet connection, not allowing the accounts to interchange or be deleted is just lazy programming.

First of all I did not buy a bed... I bought a 1200 dollar air mattress... app does not track sleep well at all...I have nothing but problems controlling my mattress... first “bed” only lasted 7 months then they had to replace it.. they upgraded me this bed was better but after a year one side keeps losing air and I have to inflate three times a day...I’ve been constantly inflating for six months until the last week when the app won’t control the bed... I’ve tried to repair the bed 100 times and it always freezes on a different spot.. usually when verifying my internet connection which is always working fine... can’t get “bed” to connect to my main Wi-Fi network or my guest.. when I first got mattress couldn’t get it to connect to WiFi and was on the phone with sleep number for an hour... I figured out that it wouldn’t connect because my network name had an apostrophe in it.. no one from sleep number figured that out though...I created a guest network just for the bed to connect to... worked fine until the last few months the bed has been offline...app is terrible mattress is terrible and I wasted 1200 and can’t keep my mattress inflated and I work all the time so I don’t have time to call these clowns... don’t waste your money go to big lots and buy a normal mattress
