I bought a nut find 3 smart tracker a few months from Amazon. It was band new, and the box was still shrink wrapped with I received it. I went through the steps to use it. It will find with device start to connect, but at the pairing screen gives me an error. "Authentication error detected. This device is paired with another account, please log in with that account." Being that it is brand new I don't understand how it can have another user to begin with. I bought this device for my mother who Is elderly and is always losing the phone and keys and gets the locked out of the house often due to this. I want to gift it to her on her birthday which is next week, but due to the complications that obviously cannot happen as it is. I promised her, I found something to help her with losing things, and do not want to recant. I have scoured the internet myself and cannot find anything that works in regard to an authentication code or releasing the device from a previous login account. Please send me a solution to this problem or a contact number so that I can speak to someone directly and resolve this issue as soon as possible so I can deliver on my promise. Thank you Jay
Great Concept, Terrible App

I turned on the anti-loss notifications for when I’m away from my keys, then realized I didn’t want to be alerted every time I walked out of the room with my keys in it. I turned them off, yet I STILL receive alerts — there’s no notification, just a ridiculously annoying beeping noise and vibration. I’m currently in my bedroom and my keys are in the living room, so every time I move my phone too far from the keys it goes off. Also, even if my phone is in silent mode, it STILL plays an alert tone. I didn’t want to deal with these frequent unwanted alerts anymore, so I uninstalled the app. The reason I am rating it one star is because of the app, not the product. Although the finding part is great, there are other key finding squares just like this one; the issue is not with the product, it’s with the app itself. Also, I never write reviews, but the annoyance drove me to write this one.
Annoying as hell

I too often misplace things but the space between distances is too short and having this thing with its high pitched ding constantly going off is too annoying.
Also I can’t even close the App when I’m on my iPhone. This seems like a new glitch and I’m done. I would not recommend this item.
Good for finding lost keys

It’s very convenient for finding lost keys. I was hoping the anti-loss feature that alerts you if you leave your phone behind would be great too, but it disconnects too often and the Nut sounds it’s alarm at very inconvenient times. I bought it because I often misplace or leave my phone behind and the concept of having my keys alert me when I leave my phone sounded life changing.
But it doesn’t work very well. The Nut goes off whenever they disconnect. I can have my phone and my keys in the same pocket and the Nut alarm will go off because the Bluetooth disconnected. There is no way to silence it, so you just have to endure its high pitched beeping for 5 seconds.
Also the silent-mode geofence doesn’t work very well. I set up a geofence for my work and it still goes off a few times a day. I have to keep it in find mode, which disables the anti-loss mode, to keep it quiet while I’m at work.
